Pakistan has produced inspirational players, because of their quality... Actually all over the world quality players who were leaders were never Captain.

In last three decades Lillie, Wasim, Warne, Tendulkar, VIV were players who inspired people across generations and cultures, non of them were captain but there were better than most of them.

Leadership in cricket does not equate to captaincy in any way. What you do with bat or ball inspires people.

BTW: great entrepreneurs were never about CEO name tag, what they do inspire people. Steve Jobs was a notorious manager, but he inspire people for his artistic abilities to make great products.

All that was done was switch out Marsh for Watson and Hazlewood for Doherty. Otherwise it's the same attack. They have gone with 3 frontline bowlers for months now and have Maxwell watson Faulkner smith and Clarke to fill the other 20-25

This is why we aren't worried about our run rate in the middle overs. What's important is to have wickets in hand so our lower order hitters can hit with some freedom. You can easily push a run rate up these days if you have wickets in hand.

Yea I made a comment about this a week or so ago when everyone was talking about Pakistan needing to drop a batsman to accommodate a 5th bowler. Aus has moved away from that 6 batsmen a wicketkeeper and 4 bowlers approach years ago. In ODI cricket these days you want lots of bowling options that can also bat so you can bat deep down to 9 or 10 and also have 6+ bowling options so the strike bowlers can bowl in short sharp spells.

Sl ran into coaching issue so they moved their temp.coach Marvan Attapattu as the head coach and Mathews is probably the least intelligent captain in this WC(associates included) and can't help man. Kulesekara used to trouble the Aussies but he is not in form. Mathews bowled well but he is out of touch, Perera has been out of touch since ever. Mathews need to be sacked along with Marvan.
