Surely the Lords provided for much easier batting conditions than this turning Edgabaston pitch?
Changed the game completely was a faster one and match changing what else you want.

Faster or slower is contextual - chasing in a must win game against the likes of Boult, Ferguson, Santner etc. is a much harder task than batting first on a flat Lord's pitch vs SAF.

Have very rarely seen great partnerships in difficult batting conditions from Pakistan. When Satner was turning the ball like mad and even Williamson was getting respect, i feared the worst and Harris was looking very shaky early on but they rose to the occasion.

No, Haris was never looking shaky. Not sure what you were watching.
There is a reason those 2 drives Haris played vs India in the 2015 World Cup have always been stuck in my head. Always always has been my favorite player since then. Absolute slap on the face to the many on here who called him crap. So called posters can't spot talent.
It's a shame he was not only sitting on the bench earlier on in this World Cup for the likes of Hafeez and Malik but also sat on the bench in the last Champions Trophy.

It's not even about spotting talent a guy does bad in one innings against the Windies where everyone failed and people were out calling for him to be dropped and saying he adds no value to this team and other crap like that. Some of these guys are the same people who were asking for Umar Akmal; a guy who averages 34 in ODI cricket after 10 years to be recalled into this side and how he was going to "demolish bowlers in England." I'm sure we all know how the chase would of gone if Akmal was there today. People need to be patient with talented guys like Haris and Babar. Same thing with Babar 10/15 Test matches in people were calling him "over-hyped" and that he needed to be dropped from the side and his first class records are proof of this. Some of these people have absloutley no patience and it's funny cause even in the match threads if the opposition so much as scores a boundary even if we have them like 5/20 people will start saying "oh no Pakistan letting the match slip away."
Never in my life did I think people could be so impatient.

Don't think so. Haris has a year, maybe 2 at max and he is messing that up, not talking about this decision, just in general. His fitness, work ethic, his mindset say it all really.

The partnership that day was great. Had it not been built well, I don't think Pakistan would have won. Now I don't see Haris playing much cricket other than Test. If Fawad Alam or whoever does well in Haris's place then I don't see a return happening.
