I have seen thsi Khuram Shezad bowler before his action is really impressive i dont think he is too slow either

Even in domestics, they are tinkering with Umar’s batting position - why should he be sent at 5 this time?

Bro, check out the positions khushdil shah has been made to bat in. It doesn’t matter about position, it matters about scoring.

Khusdil is a typical lower middle order player, so no. 5-6 suits his game; Umar should bat at 3-4, if not opening. But, still batting well now, he is among very few PAK batsman who looks comfortable instantly.

A rather disappointing end to Balochistan innings as they are bowled out for 289 in 49 overs); Umar Akmal and Ali Imran top-score for Balochistan with 77 runs each, whilst Sadaf Hussain takes 4/46 for Federal Areas

Rauf and Irfan are probably resting today as Balochistan have already qualified to the final so giving chances to bench strenghth

Some great hitting by :uakmal, should be going to the WC instead of no hopers like Asif Ali

Umar Akmal has played 219 games for Pakistan - how many match winning knocks has he played....?

... Now THAT is what you call having no hope.

In 217 innings - this supposedly "promising batsmen" has scored 3 centuries. It's high time he moves over and gives someone else a shot.

Balochistan 289

Federal Areas 189/3 in 34.3 overs
Federal Areas need 101 runs to win

Probably like 10 honestly

A somewhat comfortable victory for the Pakistan Cup 2019 finalists, Balochistan, as they defeat Federal Areas by 23 runs; Mohammad Rizwan's 76 the highest score for Federal in this match, whilst Amad Butt took 3/45 for the winners

I would say even 10 is an over estimation

102* versus Sri Lanka in 2009
40 odd versus West indies on a tricky pitch in 2009 CT
56* versus Australia 2010 World T20 - It was a match winning innings, Ajmal screwed it up
64 versus Australia First T20 2010 in England
44 versus Australia in the 2011 World Cup -- took us home
70 odd versus Sri Lanka 2011 5th ODI.
60 odd versus Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2012
102* versus Afghanistan when we collapsed 2014 I think?
94 versus Australia World T20 2014

That's 9 and all of those are from the top of my head.

Wasn't really comfortable, Federal Areas looked to be cruising but they collapsed spectacularly

So basically some 40-70 scores - a few games which we lost and others in which he wasn't the only batsman to perform.

After 219 games that is an acceptable record for some fans to justify his place in the team?

Effectively after 219 games there's just over half a dozen games which you MAY be able to argue were won by UA, yet we want him in the team. The bar is so insanely low, it's no surprise that we haven't been able to find any decent batsmen in recent times

Joe Root had played 237 matches, Kohli has played 227 ODIs, Kane Williamson has played 268 matches - look at what these guys have achieved compared to what UA has achieved.

Don't remember anyone comparing hum to Kohli or KW is the recent past, by that logic 95% batsmen are useless

By which logic is Umar Akmal not useless? What has he done in the 219 games he's played for Pakistan which justifies he's spot in the team?
