WHy did BD leave Litton Das out in the earlier matches lol THis guy is playing such a vital role in this partnership.

From time to time they have these implosions. But it has lessened. They are more disciplined, professional than before.
 
WI keeper looks worse than Sarfraz. This guy cannot catch anything
 
Liton 34 from 33 balls without even seeming like he has scored anything, with all attention on Shakib.
 
Liton over Mithun any day. Most of the fans wanted it but Mithun did play some good knocks against New Zealand.

Still feel we arent playing our best 11. Sabbir over Mosaddek need to be the case, but Mosaddek had one crazy match winning us our first tri series and the selectors have gone crazy.

Dre Russ needs to play in crutches by the look of it. He played irresponsible cricket right through. He can't bowl more than 4 or 5 overs before holding his knee. What is the point of having him.
 
I think Bangladesh victory means India , Australia, England, New-Zealand easily go through semifinals

Liton over Mithun is a no brainer. But I think they weren’t sure if Liton can bat in the middle order.

Mossadekk was good against SA too at end overs hit well. Plus gives off spin option.

But for me. One of Miraz/Mossadekk/Saifuddin has to make way for another proper Rubel.
 
ALl their mistimed shots against bouncers went right behind the keeper lol Definitely some luck right through. But still not the best length on a small ground like this.

I started a thread prior to the WC about how much better Bangladesh batsman are compared to Pakistan. I was vilified.

I've had the opportunity to work with some of these guys and they are harder working, more thoughtful, and more skillful than our guys. Anyone who disputed that is simply blinded by stereotype and misplaced pride.
 
What a clinical chase till now from BD. They have been truly impressive in this WC and have shown the world they definitely are a force to reckon with in ODIs.
 
I remember in one of the LOI in BD last time windies toured, Liton Das tonked Thomas badly

One of the most common things a lot of us Bangladeshi fans have been saying in multiple forums is that the team needs time.

And always the comments were you are minnows forever. The only reason it is a decent team these days is because of the core we have.

Tamim, Mushy, Shakib are playing their 4th world cup. Mash his 5th. Mahmudullah his 3rd. Its a very experienced team now compared to before when we were almost always the youngest team in terms of age and experienced in world cups.
 
Great innings by Shakib, definitely the best all-rounder in the world.

The mindset of Bangladesh batsmen is different , these days they do not stop scoring shots , they go with the flow. Pakistan gets bogged down easily.
 
It's funny how certain posters called Bangladesh a minnow when our pathetic team has won 1 in 15 games.

We need to stop mocking Bangladesh. I am no fan of Bangladesh. But I can see the improvement they are making and will continue to make. You can see the game sense of their players has improved. And they look mentally prepared for international cricket.
 
50 off 43 balls by Liton Das. Playing his debut WC match. Excellent stuff. I’m big fan of this boy. Needs to be in BD LOI.
 
I don't think anyone would have believed that the RRR would be below 5 in the 35th over when chasing 322

Look what Shakib did there. He went down and calmed him down. That is the role of seniors. Play well and guide others.
 
You have to appreciate Shakib's fitness as well. He doesn't look tired. He still looks energetic.

Windies have been abysmal with the ball and in the field. Dare I say it even more ill disciplined than us. :facepalm:

Wow our fielding has improved a lot too. That montage was great to watch.
 
Shakib is having the kind of tournament yuvi had in '11. Shame that odds are not in ******** favour to go through to semis but they look most suited out of the rest of the pack to making it.

Wi spam too much short stuff. Body language generally looks flat and this oshane Thomas is very talented but I've seen him only ever be an extras machine in every match he's played so fast.

Gayle 5 wides. that is criminal. But they are willing to bowl wides to get wickets. Today didn't work. Looking at some of the balls, test match length was the best length not short ball here. Ball just zips off from good length.
 
Not surprised at all by Bangladesh's performance. As I said before the world cup as well take them lightly at your own risk. They remind me of India of early 2000s. :inti
 
Teams that don't have middle over control will struggle big time defending totals. Either you trigger a collapse upfront and push them on the backfoot. If you don't do you are gone. That is what happened today. WI relies on new ball wickets. If that doesn't happen this bowling is buffet bowling
 
Liton should have played over bojo Mithun ... They could have won against nz too.

Congrats guys 👏🎉 semi final is still on. On their day desh can beat ind/ pak/ Aus , they have a great chance of making it to last 4.
