Bangladesh tour of UAE (2025) - [3 T20Is and 3 ODIs against Afghanistan]

I was always for giving Nurul a permanent spot in batting line up. He is a match winner for you who can change the complexion of the game, not so many players can do it.

They literally scrap to 150 and hope Rashid, Noor and Mujeeb to strangle

They are asking too much now.

Rashid and Noor are all over the world. People are taking them down now.

Yup.

Their weakness is batting. They need to stop playing too many accumulators in their T20 team.

They generally can't post more than 160.

@Mainul @sweep_shot @Mas-LFC

Ramiz Raja was exposed here as if he’s the Athar Ali Khan for Afghanistan

I know the reason why. This guy wants Afghanistan to win because he loves the b.s approach of Accumalators as openers and feel good about his insistence of Rizwan and Babar as T20 openers!

LOL. Yeah.

Ramiz Raza doesn't seem to understand modern day T20. Just like Aamir Sohail, Atahar Ali Khan, Gavaskar etc.

I politely disagree.
He was open heartedly praising Bangladesh and it seemed to me that he was backing Bangladesh to win here.

He wasn’t supporting them in the last 2 Noor overs

You could sense he was getting frustrated with BD getting closer!

As a commentator he should be neutral and support both teams in different phases of the game.

This tour has 3 T20s and 3 ODIs.

BD should try to win 6-0. It can give them great momentum.

Anyway, need to take 1 game at a time. 2-0 so far.

So now both Pakistan and banglu fans hide behind Afghanistan.

Abhi india se zaleel hoke aye ho bhul gye kya. 3-0 se Pakistan ko kiya or 1-0 se kanglu team ko.

Saram hai koi todi si?

:klopp :kp

Again, major problem with this BD lineup is that WK are the better batsmen. When Litton returns you really cant play 3 WKs. You need a Fahim Ashraf, Shivam Dube, Sean Abbott type of allrounder in the middle.

Saifuddin is the pace bowling allrounder but he has to improve his batting. What is the khet coach Salahuddin doing? Nothing improved under him.

Nurul. Joker is a major flop in tournaments. Nurul made crucial brilliant dive-stop and run out against Afghanistan in the asia cup at that stage, that was the turning point. Also added quick runs towards the end in the match when the Joker was playing test innings.
Nurul and jaker looked so bad against Pakistan like it was funny to watch them bat like newbies

Bangladesh clinched the T20I series against Afghanistan with a thrilling two-wicket win in the second match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday, thanks to a disciplined bowling performance and a composed unbeaten 31 from Nurul Hasan.

Afghanistan, opting to bat first, posted 147/5 in their 20 overs. Openers Sediqullah Atal and Ibrahim Zadran gave them a flying start with a 55-run partnership. Atal scored 23 off 19 balls, including two sixes and a four, before falling to Rishad Hossain in the eighth over. Zadran top-scored with 38 off 37 balls, featuring three boundaries and a six, before being dismissed by Nasum Ahmed.

After Zadran’s departure, Afghanistan’s innings lost momentum, slipping to 118/5 by the 17th over. A late flourish from Azmatullah Omarzai (19 off 17) and Mohammad Nabi (20 off 12) added an unbeaten 29-run stand to push the total to a competitive score. Nasum and Rishad each claimed two wickets for Bangladesh, with Shoriful Islam also contributing one.

In response, Bangladesh’s chase got off to a rocky start, stumbling to 24/3 in under five overs due to Omarzai’s early double strike. However, captain Jaker Ali and Shamim Hossain steadied the innings with a 56-run stand. Jaker scored 32 off 25 balls, while Shamim added a brisk 33 off 22 before being dismissed by Noor Ahmad.

Despite losing wickets in clusters, Bangladesh found a calm finisher in Nurul Hasan, whose unbeaten 31 off 21 balls—featuring three sixes and a four—guided the team to victory with five balls remaining. Omarzai was the standout bowler for Afghanistan, taking 4/23, while Rashid Khan picked up two wickets and Mujeeb and Noor claimed one each.

With this win, Bangladesh sealed the series 2-0, with one match remaining to be played at the same venue on Sunday.
