good win for Pak. Although would like to see more batsman contributing against these seemingly weak Eng and Bang attacks. Seems mostly Sami and Imam had that one innings, but rest are not doing much.

I dont think sami is ready to be in National team...

I have seen him bat, he needs to do lots of work on his technique, but he is young and obviously can iron out these flaws and become a very good opener for Pakistan, for that he needs to play atleast 2 seasons of domestic cricket....

I agree but he can't do worse than Malik , YK and M.Hafeez at no4 right? The special thing about him is that he doesnt throw it away after getting a start.

He's not a no 4 batsman, for No 4 we have guys like Haris, Amin and even Umar akmal can be promoted to no. 4..

Sami can earn opening slot by performing in Domestic cricket

I dont think he will improve his technique much by playing domestic games as we dont have good new ball bowlers in domestic ,only way to nurture him is by playing A games and fast tracking him in to Pak side but not as an opener(as currently his technique is just not good enough to face quality Internationa bowlers).

We cant just select him as a middle order batsman, there are other deserving young openers..

Though i agree he should be selected for A-tours but sadly we dont have many these days

So i think we should let him play Domestic cricket for a season and then access his performance

yeah seen him bat looks really ungainly though seems like once he gets in its difficult to dislodge him promising but still feel Babar Azam and Umer Waheed have more potential then him.
