Interesting scenario. England lose this and West Indies, then Bangladesh only need to beat Netherlands to go through and knock them out!
 
England really think they have chance in this World Cup? might as well send Bangladesh or Ireland to the quarters and make them happy.

Not really.

1. Bangladesh beating Netherlands is certain.

2. West Indies beating England? Very very possible.

3. Bangladesh beating England? Meh.....One can dream?
 
A chance here if they can get wickets for Bangla to restrict england to something chasable later on!
 
Morgan and Bopara are the only batsmen we have here that will use their feet against the spinners. KP is missed.
 
The Irishman is playing a gorgeous innings here. Another good overseas steal :batman:
 
Trott should have been out there. Very lucky.
 
Wonder where the ultra slow motion is for this world cup. They never seem to use that for run outs.
 
average 1st innings score in D/N at Chittagong is 202. We need more than that rubbish amount!
 
Morgan is one of the candidates for LOI captaincy after Strauss calls it a day.
 
I'd suggest most of you switch to the Irish game right now. It's looking tight :D
 
KP would have been a walking wicket against Bangladesh. I guess his injury was a blessing in disguise... But Morgan, what a player!
 
that was mentioned by some commentator earlier today that acc to bangladesh coach .. their bowlers fear bowling to morgan more than kp!

Needs a solid hundred from Trott and the rest of them to be positive.
 
England have to be the worst team at the 3rd powerplay ever.

I thought Pakistan is the only test playing nation suffering in the world cup. apparently all big teams are suffering including England, South Africa. on the other hand I see West Indies as dark horses
 
240 is defendable on this pitch IMO, seems very slow. We will need to bowl and field very well though.

West Indies bowling is not great, it will let them down...they nearly lost their heads against the Irish batsmen today but got the rub of the green.

Bowling out Holland and Bangladesh does not a good team make.

The gulf between the top sides and West Indies could be seen when they collapsed to 222 and then barely managed to take 3 wickets against South Africa.
 
A better batting performace was expected by England but even 230 can be defended against a team like Ban.
 
Robert, obvious troll is obvious.

Swann really does have to take some wickets today though, we spend enough time talking him up.
 
Pietersen's bowling could have been handy on this wicket...another reason why we will miss the big man. If he was playing instead of Bell, and we'd brought along a wicketkeeper that knows how to play ODI cricket, we'd look a better prospect in general.

Same is the case with India. But they have only one who can damage any team ' zaheer khan' and West Indies has Chris Gayle who rarely plays big knocks.
 
West Indies will go out in the quarters.

Wonder if England will even make it that far...
 
all comes down to whether or not Bangladesh manage to cock it up more spectacularly than we have done.

This is not a massive score and run rate should not be an issue here! Plain and simple its down to bangla to bat sensibly like Ireland/Holland did v england and they will win.
