Tamim's luck running out. Whole BD team to follow suit thinks this observer.

Bangla are doing it right from the beginning and they are winning.

Just see the reality; all around the sides that are slogging are winning and the ones that are trying to play sensibly are losing.

Rohit Sharma also did it right from the beginning.. till 2nd ball

Time for 20 year old Litton to outshine 19 year old Mustafizur. #Optimist

I remember how Shakib and Rahim, 19 year olds then, steered Bangladesh to victory in 2007. Litton and Sarkar to repeat that..

I want India to lose. Let the team selections come into spotlight

I kind of semi-agree. Unless India nose-dive for a while we won't question these stupid tactics and selections. We can't afford to play T20 WC or Champions Trophy with these absurd mindsets and team selections.

B Kumar bowling at 127 km/h. I don't think the speed gun is broken. The biggest trundling of all time may very well be in progress here.

Sarkars already won us a match against Pakistan. But yes, a 50+ score will do so nicely.

Can't remember the last time Bhuvi picked a wicket with the new ball. Averages 40+ in the last 2 years yet seems to be a certainty when fit esp with Dhoni as captain. Has lost his swing completely

Lol young blood. Idiot. Calm down!

No. Stop it. Let people play without this idiotic tuk-tuk mentality steeping in.

There's no run-rate pressure and no need to attack, but artificially defending and asking people to constrict their game just ruins rhythm. Small targets become challenging when teams artificially slow down and let pressure build because they have time.

He has a great record. He can select his shots for himself.

True. Dhoni's methods have become outdated for a while now, as the world cup proved. You need dynamic batsmen, wicket taking bowlers in LOIs. Can't see any of them in the team

Speed gun is broken . even taskin was bowling at 116 kph consistently according to it.

Tamim finally goes out of luck - The mighty Kulkarni.

It is still fast man lol. Check out this Pollard delivery to KP at 1:13 to 1:18. It was recorded at 129km/h. Look quick it comes

Shameful is that after playing so much of ipl , we still play like this. And shameful is that, bangladesh having no IPL experience are much better than us, shows how rubbish that league is

Different formats. How does playing IPL on home grounds help India in the 50 over format? The issue here is Bangladesh is a good home team now and they could destroy any team at home.

Well B Kumar was bowling in the 126 - early 130s and Kulkarnis slower balls are being clocked at around 116. At what speeds does Taskin usually bowl?

And who are the guys banging the door?

Taskin bowls at late 130s to early 140s. He is a rare "fast" bowler from bangladesh. But well they have rubel now too. It seems everything has fallen in place for bangladesh at once.

Heh, at first I thought it was a match on a gaming console. Looked very fake in the beginning.

You can choose from guys like Nair, Samson, Yadav and develop them in that regard. You need to have a power hitter at number 6 who can propel team scores. Unfortunately, Dhoni and Raina son't fit the bill anymore. There lies the problem.

System in place.

You think Raina can't hit? You are certifiably insane if so. They guy scored 87 (25) against Mitch in the IPL.

The issue is the strategy and mindset. No matter who you bring in, they won't perform with such regressive strategies. The IPL was a very bad sign that way this year, because this year teams were overly defensive and negative and if this is a sign of how our limited overs strats are developing, there's a real problem.

Funny how just a while back we were losing to associates. The team wasn't bad then, and its improved even more now. Quite a lot of things confidence can do.

Are pitches in india different from Bangladesh? Why we dont get any mystery bowlers, while even bangladesh have one now? Where are the big hitters gone? Shouldn't IPL provide us some options or is it only good for petty entertainment?

Doesn't matter. Cant keep sticking with those who keep failing.

How can you keep picking someone like Bhuvi in ODIs when he averages 40+ in last 2 years and has looked ordinary for ages. Or Jadeja who has been useless for sometime and importantly Dhoni the skipper.

Raina hasn't done jack at International level off late. Probably England series was his last good contribution. But he's still important to the team. Adding a power hitter down to the team will actually give the other batsmen much required freedom to score freely.

huh?scored 100 to rescue us vs Zim plus a very crucial 70 odd vs Pak in WC.

It's raining cats and dogs here. Hopefully it doesn't follow suit there too.

These new Bangladeshi batsman are v good.

Sabbir and Soumya my fav but this Litton looks good.

He won us a match at the WC, but I know what you're trying to say. I'm trying to get you to realize the difference is precisely the situations he is coming into and the way he's being asked to bat.

I agree with you. Confidence can do wonders but this batch of bangladeshi players has talent to back it up too.

In last 12 months

Jadeja - 20 matches, 24 wickets@38
Umesh -18 matches, 36 wickets@22

Who gets dropped out of the two? Umesh

This is the Dhoni model of nepotism based leadership. Utterly shameful.

These two can actually bat. There's no clumsiness and come across as classy. Sarkar and Das. Nice!

Like he did with Bhuvi, Dhoni will keep bowling Jadeja , despite him looking toothless instead of letting Axar bowl now.

Its less nepotism and more Dhoni being concerned about the state of his fingers. He doesn't like keeping against faster bowers.

How can a team that reached all the way to SF in the WC a while ago without losing a single game be accused of having issues in strategy and mindset? Did they lose the whole plot in 3 months? For goodness sake we are still the #2 team.

The chances are high that a few of the team members are not in their elements (esp Kohli and Dhoni). Rohit blows hot and cold all the time. Rahane is not developed into a ODI player yet. Dhawan is a hack but he knows how to make runs. Our major batting weakness is in the lower order - where we don't have a single power hitter. If Jadeja is your best lower order hitter, something is wrong with the team composition.

The problem seems to lie in the team composition/team form and not strategy or mindset. The current team is just not good for the conditions against a confident Bangladeshi side. India will probably thrash the same Bangla side at home. Some of our players are out of form and some of them are just not very good ODI players. We may be in a period of transition as far as the ODI side is concerned.

Jadeja hasn't been the same since he failed to get Anderson banned last summer in the Test series defeat.

Confdence and fearlessness that these young BD batsmen is a sight to watch.

Axar getting thrashed
