Embarrassing performance by pakistan.

Looks like its going to be a winless tour.

3 0 loss in odis was shocking but it was a new team but whats the excuse now with the well settled team. We lost our last test against nz by an innings and now this humiliation.

True and you could start with the pitches you roll out in the UAE for touring teams.
They are dead roads but your bats made it look like it was a raging bunsen everytime they batted on it. Was a truly pathetic performance.

No, but they are plenty on this forum who took it on the chin. No one can compete with Pakistanis when it comes to making excuses and blaming others for their failures.

Most deluded nation in the world.
It's not our fault. I blame video games.. :yk

I hope Bangladesh annihilate Zulfiqar so we can drop him. Absolutely useless.

It actually pains me when people call him useless. He was a top bowler in his prime (2007-2012) but a certain chucker blocked his way and we also opted for the mediocre Rehman over him, only to pick him in 2013 when he's on his last legs.

One of the greatest tragedy of Pakistan cricket in the last decade in my view. A potentially 300 wickets Test career has gone down the drain.

Where do u rate hafeez in the list of all rounders we had in last decade?
Hafeez, Afridi , Razzaq and Malik (not sure he is a AR [emoji14])
I think hafeez is the beat AR we had in last decade followed by razzaq .

Razzaq was obviously the best and Malik was a better batsman than Hafeez and Afridi in his prime, but his bowing was largely redundant especially after his doosra was banned in 2003.

Hafeez v Afridi is interesting; Hafeez will give you a 7/10 performance in most games but will not blow away the opposition once in 10 games like Afridi, so it depends on what you prefer. A consistent, solid but unspectacular all-rounder or an inconsistent, maverick but spectacular all-rounder.

Thats right. He had been performing in domestic cricket for 7 8 years prior to his selection. I dont know why abdur rehman was preferred over him. He used to get a lot of turn.

Lol stop blaming the track. There was spin available but our bowlers have been darting the ball around too much.

A young Babar was similar to Herath. We picked the wrong guy in 2007.

As far as Yasir is concerned, he's very raw and his development has been very slow. Don't see a bright future for him, but I think he too should have been blooded in around 2012.

It was criminal to persist with Rehman for 7 years, when it was abundantly clear since day 1 that he is nothing more than a decent support bowler at best.

Yasir is too underdeveloped for his age and he has had a lot of first class experience. I would rathar have shahzeb ahmed in the team.

How much longer do you see him lasting on the international circuit?

I think he's finished. If Amir comes back to the team, it's likely that he will get the boot.

Wahab is going to leach the Watson spell for a couple of years like Junaid leached the Indian spell, but the former is better than the latter so deserves to play.

The main worry is that we don't have quality coming through the ranks, so guys like Junaid etc. might play long enough even though they do not deserve to.

From the next Wasim Akram to the next Amir to the next Gul, he can actually end up as Pakistan's Ishant Sharma.

Yeah, he will be struggling to save his career after he gets hammered in Australia, NZ and England. Kaneria was a much better bowler.

So whats about sir shane warne opinion about him he is thw best leg spinner now [emoji12]

Wasim Akam has hyped a lot of bowlers and none have done enough , so shane warnes opinion can be taken as such.

As a former leg spinner, every new kid on the block excites him, and the only reason people rated him highly here was because Warne did, otherwise it was pretty clear that he was not good enough even when was taking wickets v Australia.

That is why it is better to use your own judgement, rather than hide behind 'expert' opinion.

Those people should be questioned now.

He's only played what 5-6 test matches and still has taken 30 wickets. Give him time. Might become the next Kaneria and even if he doesnt improve will still be deadly against West Indies, Ireland and may be even South Africa

A good leg spinner will get the ball to dip in and then turn away , I havent seen any dip in from yasir shah so far. He does not bring a batsman forward enough to play his flighted deliveries.

Forget the flighted dip, he can't land the ball on the same spot twice.

He won't. Has too many flaws in his game; basic technical flaws that should have been ironed out years ago and if you still carry them when you have a decade of F/C experience and 300 wickets, you are either a player of limited ability or did not receive sound coaching in your early years.

He bowls way too quickly due to which his stock leg-break doesn't get much turn, his head goes sideways and his variations are not good enough.

Simply not good enough for teams that play spin well, and this will become more evident when he plays SL and/or India later this year.

The biggest disappointment for pakistanis should be wahab riaz , but he isnt a thinking bowler and bowling the same length as he bowled in australia.

He never was, those bouncy pitches in Australia helped him a lot. Thatz all. I Think Junaid is better in that with less talent

Whatever , junaid should not play the next test match. Open the bowling with younis khan if you have to.

He'll improve with each game but don't expect much from him in SC. He'll do better overseas.

LOL please add automatically two years to pakistans cricketers official age. Wahab is no exception.

why do you think waqar retired at an official age of 31?

Pakistan can still win this game. Lead is only 50 odd runs with 8 more wickets. One good spell and few quick wickets may make it a bit interesting. Not likely but still..

What a loser Kaptaan. the wicket taker bowler who looked threatening is taken out of the attack and gives to a bowler who is getting hammered . Only genius Misbah can do such awful stuff
