India vs Bangaldesh, it rained, and outfield is wet, ground is wet, yet ICC got the game started quickly as overs were being lost. The ground was still wet and bangladesh player were slipping.

Match referee is ICC representative and umpires are there and they saw no issue.

I used to refrain from the BCCICC conspiracy, but today many of us saw it. Ridiculous stuff

covers were coming off when it was still raining lol
they didnt even wait for rain to stop

Another conspiracy against Pakistan.

However, when Pakistan lose to South Africa tomorrow, the conspiracy won't matter any more.

Where did Pakistan get mentioned here? This is about India being helped to win a game when they were behind on NRR.

I understand that you hate the Pakistani team and want them to be insulted and go back home, but there is no need to bring Pakistan in everything.

Sentiments like these make me feel embarrassed and ashamed to be a Pakistani.

Pakistani fans will not let any opportunity pass to cry and play victim.

If India would have thrashed Bangladesh today, Pakistani fans would be crying that BCB threw the match to please BCCI.

“Well paid” would be trending on Twitter just like it was last year when India smashed Afghanistan.

Now that Bangladesh played really well and took the game to India, we are now crying that ICC resumed the match when it was still raining.

There are three certainties in life: death, taxes and Pakistani fans crying and playing victim.

The game would not have resumed if any other team was involved

True, Bangladesh turned down BCCI’s money and ignored the threats out of sheer love for its former country so ICC decided to take matters into its own hand.

I don't hate the Pakistan team.

I hate the fans who have victim mentality.

If field is wet it is disadvantage to fielding side. Batsman have to play inside 22 yard which will be the most dry portion of the field.

what does this thread have to do with Pakistan when India and Bangaldesh are playing.

If Bangladesh wins they are also in contention to reach the semi finals. Where did i mention Pakistan in the op?

Bangladesh were cheated out of a win here, and I understand you dont wanna see it that way.

Had pakistan won their games like India had done you would be screaming FLUKE at the top of your lungs at anyone who would hear it. India got key decisions to their benefit and still barely clung on to a few victories.

How does that harm Bangladesh? If anything that's dangerous condition for fielding team.

When did a damp outfield become a disadvantage to fielding side? You are saying that a damp field where the ball is gonna stop is a disadvantage? Really?

Who said ball isn't travelling to the boundary?

100% with you there. Pathetic from Icc.

India is a top team. They deserve a slice of luck.

I agree with you. If it was reversed and India ahead I can guarantee you that match would not have restarted so soon.

In fact Das slipped twice.. first time he hurt his wrist and physio came out. Of course some people are so pro BCCI that they will not see this.

No brother you are wrong.....
As a fan of Indian cricket team i feel ashamed.
I don't know what personal grudge you have with Pakistan team...but itz is clear cheating by ICC ..
Please tell me...
How can they put off covers even when it was raining..
Even commentators were discussing that it will atleast take 20 minutes to make the ground ready, but game was started within 9 minutes....
So as a true cricket fan should we enjoy this win or feel ashamed...

and what does Pakistan have to do with this thread, when Bangladesh is in contention to reach semis?

Yet Pakistani fans are more upset about Bangladesh being out of contention than Bangaldeshis themselves.

Wonder if their is an ulterior motive?

As usual, i dont expect blind nationalists to admit to anything and their Pakistani chamchas that kiss up to them to say anything either.

Well fought Bangladesh, too bad they cant reach to the semis because of one board.

It is much harder to bowl and field when the outfield and ball is wet.

The equation was 70% - 30% in Bangladesh’s favor when the match was resumed.

If it was a Pakistan-India match and it would have been the same situation, Pakistani bowlers and fielders who have lost the match against Indian batsmen and our fans would be crying that ICC favored India and gave them advantage because it was hard for Pakistani bowlers and fielders because of the wet outfield and ball. :)))

When did a damp outfield become a disadvantage to fielding side? You are saying that a damp field where the ball is gonna stop is a disadvantage? Really?

There is a greater chance of an Indian fielder slipping and hurting himself and being out of the tournament than a Bangladeshi player slipping.

But yeah, I agree its a contentious to play in rain.

Even Zimbabwe complained.

So Bangladesh have a right to complain.

You are claiming that Bangladeshi fans dont care that they are out of contention? Thats a very big assumption you are making.

Anyways, I understand, you hate the Pakistani team so no point of further discussion.

again where does Pakistan come into this bhai?

Yes fielder's will not be able to run properly and might hurt while slipping

I think this was always the understanding before today's game.

85 needed in 54 balls. 10 wickets in hand.

Difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball, difficult for the fielders to run across the field and collect and catch the ball.

9/10 times, you would back the batting side to chase it down but somehow, this was a conspiracy by ICC to favor the bowling side.

Its ridiculous that how some posters like Mamoon, Rana and Dr_Bassim are insecure that Pakistan might qualify if Bangaldesh won, even though the same lot believes Pakistani team is bad and would lose to Bangladesh. Thus, meaning that Bangladesh had a sincere chance, but because Pakistan could had gotten an advantage, they see no issue game starting in wet conditions and covers being removed when it rained.

Bangladesh is the one that got cheated here, not Pakistan

Don't worry.

Pakistan won't win against South Africa, so your thread is due a massive failure.

If DLS method would have been applied properly then Bangladesh needed 148 runs to win in 16 overs

again, how is the thread related to Pakistan, when its Bangaldesh that got cheated?

This whole thread was created bcoz Pakistan fans like you thought Pakistan has a chance if the match got washed off & Bangladesh declared winners on DLS

Now the game resumed and India won - and crushed ur hopes , you re crying conspiracy !

If Pakistan qualified for the semis - you wud not created this thread in the first place. Too much desperation from people like you

I haven't watched the game so don't know the full facts BUT the thought process from some of the posters here makes zero sense.

If the fielding side are at a disadvantage "70/30" then the game should not have restarted.
It doesn't matter who has the advantage, the game should not restart because of a wet outfield. Those are the rules. You don't see a game re-starting when the field is wet and because the fielders are ok to play in those conditions.

I am not following at all.

Rain stopped, game restarted.

Don't we all complain that cricket is a spoil sport due to rain? I think ground staffs & ICC did a tremendous job to start the game ASAP.

What is the issue?

If anything, rain and wet ball would have helped the batting team. It is like batting under dew.

Poor stuff from OP. Some posters are unable to digest the results in world cup so far and trying to conjure multiple conspiracy theories which is very sad to see.

Question to all the experts in this group. Can a team win with a negative NRR even after DL comes into play?

India had a run rate of 9.2. Had BD scored 149 and lost by 1 run their run rate would have been 9.31?

I understand DL came in but how is the score determined with DL?

How does Pakistan qualify from this? This has nothing to do with Pakistan.

If Pakistan were to even qualify they have to beat SA and Bangaldesh first. So stop brining Pakistan here for gods sake.

What hopes?

Im desperate? Your the one that has Pakistan stuck in your head and believe that with only 2 points Pakistan would had qualified over India, thats how insecure you are

In the SA Vs Zim game, the match continued even when players complained that the rain was heavy. BCCI does this always.

Sometime when India is losing BCCI sends the clouds to rain in the stadium. Shame on BCCI.

You are embarrassed of your heritage regardless.

The only chance for Pakistan to qualify wud be if Bangladesh beat India today. Then Pakistan wud qualify if they won next 2 matches ( with better NRR )

Now that India won today - u guys are crying conspiracy theories as usual. Just like u were crying about no ball after loss to India.

The Rona dhona makes victories like this sweeter. We may still get knocked out of SF but still that’s a decent achievement

In recent S.A. vs Zimbabwe game in this world cup itself , the game was resumed in identical situation.... In fact Zimbabwe coach protested all alone.
No conspiracy theories popped up then... Did they?

DLS favors fast starts. Should only be implemented in knockouts cause it's always been an erratic formula.

It needs improvement. A cricket match isn't done till the match is over. There are infinite patterns to how a team can win or lose the game. Every team, playing condition, grounds etc add another dimension to it.

The match should have clearly restarted, but no doubt they started 20 mins too early. Should have waited for the rain to stop and then the covers should have come off. Should have been a 11-12 over game at tops

Rain only makes conditions tougher for the bowling side. The outfield becomes wet and slippery for the fielders. The pitch becomes easier to bat on as the ball does not grip and skids on. The ball is difficult to grip for spinners & does not spin or bounce.

Its similar to batting under lights with heavy dew. Its just that Bangladesh choked badly once again and made mess of what should have been easy chase

But somehow its all BCCI conspiracy !

Wet outfield a disadvantage to bowlers and fielders more than to batters.
No fielder slipped at all. It was barely a few minutes rain so it can't be that wet.
India were simply lucky today as the rain interruption took the momentum away from Bangladesh. You can call them lucky but Lolworthy to umpires or officials would allow game to go ahead under BCCI pressure

Although off-topic, Its not the only mathematical chance. Other minor chances are India losing to Zimb

or

SA losing to both Pak and Dutch.

So two more minor chances in total.

Once DL get deployed.. India's score for NRR is 150 in 16 overs.
I hope that clarifies

again, how is this related to Pakistan?

Pakistan is sitting down at 2 points. Pakistan hasn't beaten SA or Bangladesh.

Pakistan is not qualifying on two points and many of us are skeptical that pakistan would defeat SA.

Pakistan lives 24/7 in your head i guess

Just woke up to see this absurdity. BD would never have chased 180+. They don't have that kind of depth in their batting. Looks like they got lucky with the shortened target and had favorable target. Well played BD. You made a match out of it.

If you had scored 4 runs from 4 balls against Zim, these cries couldve been spared despite the "Evil BCCI".

Last time I checked bowling with a wet ball was disadvantageous to the bowling side and so was a reduced game. Bangla had 9 wickets to chase down a moderate target in less time.

Anyway Major you do you brother :))

The Rona dhona makes victories like this sweeter. We may still get knocked out of SF but still that’s a decent achievement

Only one guy raised is so don't get carried away with the tag which suits Indians mostly. We all know very well how the Indian media and Indian fans react when they lose.

As for achievement, you gotta win it all the way to call it an achievement. Winning last ball against Bangla and Pak and losing to SA barely qualifies for an achievement even if India loses in SF. Afterall they are being regarded as top team, we know they are Chokers when it comes to ultimate games

Indian fielders were running in the wet outfield and taking catches. They were at a massive disadvantage.

This looks like another "suryakumar over-rated" thread lol India was in serious disadvantage. BD had 10 wickets just 85 runs in 9 overs. Most teams would have achieved that.

Top teams reach semi finals. After that it's anybody's game. Luckily in AUS toss doesn't make much of a difference so you see top teams making their way to the semis as they should.

Wet ball will actually make it harder for bowlers and fielders.

So many theories here just because India are involved. Whatever objections are being raised in this thread, none of them are remotely valid.

Aha the toss still hurts and the excuse Indians won't let go. You weren't good enough last year hence early exit from both WC and then Asia Cup, its as simple as that, and India still isn't a great team. They are the new chokers going by tournaments in last decade.

This world cup we saw how India played against a top side like SA, and it almost bottled it against Bangla and Pak. Marginal wins are barely regarded with top teams. India is quite an average team. Take Kholi out who majority of India wanted to sit out and India wouldn't even make it with these bare minimum wins, so even that doesn't add up to top team tag

If India had played blindfolded and won, there would be PP thread about playing blindfolded gives an undue advantage.

The team had to manipulate a win here that too against a side like Bangladesh, and you think they would had won with a blindfold? Ok.

Liton Das slipped and wrist was hurt enough said ICC I can't see

If field is wet it is disadvantage to fielding side. Batsman have to play inside 22 yard which will be the most dry portion of the field.

The point is only Litton Das is slipped, no one else slipped.. even Indian fielders takes all those skiers easily (normally they're not a safe catchers).. may be bccicc might have paste some muds on his shoe..

This post makes more sese, but damn how did they lose? they had all the wickets

They lack batting depth and hitters and a couple of batter went for the straighter boundaries which are huge in Adelaide.

So many theories here just because India are involved. Whatever objections are being raised in this thread, none of them are remotely valid.

A cricketing powerhouse left to be borderline minnow in relevant formats, and this is what fans are reduced to as well.

They won't talk about how hard Test Championship schedule for India, or the final being played in conditions favoring NZ 100%. Just lil crybabies with zero facts, but a million conspiracy theories. Imagine crying about match resuming early. :))

Indian team is mediocre this time and reaching semis and beating arch rivals like Pakistan is good enough for most fans. However this meltdown makes it so much sweeter :))

Keep it coming while I grab my popcorn

Take Kohli out? Reeks of desperation there. Why would we take Kohli out? Lol!! And when tosses don't matter, we saw the results this year in this world cup. Rain and D/L are tricky and match was stacked in BD's favor. Looks like India got over the line despite that. That's what good teams do. They get out of jail like they did against Pak and BD. They almost defended 130 against SF. They would have definitely scored 43 runs in 39 balls with 7 wickets in hand against Zim too. That's how you know they are a good team.

So far everyone treated this as a regular match between India and BD where BD comes so close to win and lose it. Only a handful go great lengths to taint every win of India. If that makes them help sleep better , power to them :)

I made a post that insulted the intelligence levels of some posters regarding the wet outfield affecting fielders and yet some continued to argue this point....

Do people read posts?

This is what we are saying the wet ball doesn't travel very far which was a Hugh disadvantage for bangladesh so the conditions we not equal for both teams bangla were doing very well until rain. Also why was it was called off when it rained roughly around the same amount of time during the ireland and England game the referee waiting good hour or so for field to get dried while covers were lifted while it's still raining during india vs Bangladesh game??

This thread explains why Pakistan mess up in games and accept lord Rizwan as savior of Pakistan batting . Pathetic loser mentality. Instead of making yourself better we shift blame on these things .
Example is kohli free hit run . Rizwan was crying ( shows he doesn’t even know the rule) while kohli was smart he ran 3 . And Pakistanis already started the trend that it was cheating
