Best chance ever for Bangladesh to do a Sri Lanka of 96... Can they do it?

This tournament is the best chance for BAngladesh to remove the minnows tag forever like Sri Lanka did by winning the 96 WC..

I am in no way undermining Pakistan or Indian team here however in English conditions they are not at their strongest and also 8/10 times teams like SA, Australia, England will be better than Pakistan and 6/10 times will be better than India..

So in a sense if Bangladesh has to ever win a tournament this is their opportunity.. In the past they have beaten both the teams India and Pakistan in a series albeit in Asia so they have experience.. Their batsmen are back in form..

Luck is also in their favour which sent Australia packing home..

If Bangladesh does manage to win this tournament would they become the next Sri Lanka? Would teams like Australia, England start taking them more seriously and organise more tours for BD team to visit these countries? Will cricket experts like the loveable and kind hearted Viru Paaji finally accept BD as a real team?

I know We would start as heavy favourites against BD and I know we will most likely win however if I was a BD player I would know this is the best chance for me to remove the minnows tag forever and would UP my game for the match..

Can BD players do it? Discuss.

Didn't we say the same before the 2007 WC when we had our strongest batting line up in history (atleast on paper) and lost? Anything is possible in a one off game and BD has more reason to win and up their game than India, though the way they choked in Asia cup makes me doubt their ability to play under pressure..

To be frank I want India to win, I want Bangladesh to perform in the World Cup instead of Champions Trophy. And India vs Pakistan final would be more entertaining for now
