I'm not sure how its made (PC Dumpukht serves awesome chilman biryani!) .. But its less spicier than normal biryani, has saffron, nuts and kishmish in it, as well as a baked layer of "pastry" or sth (dont know what its called)..
It is scrumptious. Sheer heaven!

Call me crazy, but daal chawal is just as good as chicken pulao.
Ranked only a fraction of an inch beneath it.

How was your exam?
Good, Alhumdulillah.
Why don't people like daal chawal? Biryani's too spicy.
Biryani > Kabli pulao > normal pulao.
The vibrant color of biryani, a combination of yellow and white brings life to the dining table. The potato in it has a special savory taste and texture and when you combine it with raita, it's the most perfect combination.
Chicken biryani is better than mutton, but that's a personal preference.
This.Daal chawal is brilliant, specially with kachay keemay k kabab.
But nothing beats biryani.

Haven't you had them before? They're amazing.
biryani is a new trend among pathans and people from azad kashmir in uk
it has always been kabuli pilau /mutton pilau for pathans
for mirpuris it was always mutton pilau (saloonay chawal)
and for upper azad kashmiris there is saag pilau (which is made with small fat rice type and various local greens/herbs cut up )
and for the yakhnee /mutton pilau barley was used instead of rice and called by local name of batee
Ummm,I think insaan, but why did u ask it?
I have been eating biryani since I was born in 1991. Not sure if you can call it a new trend.
I was referring to Hamza's post.
Their name suggests they are raw but it is just a name for them.

Its one of the first "adult" food I remember along with the generic roti salan.
I refuse to believe you like biryani.BIRYANI , A well made Hyderabadi Mutton biryani for me![]()

It's not a big deal even I ate biryani when I was small.
No way. You ate BIRYANI? How did you stand the mirchain??
I am assuming your are talking about Indian punjabis. Pakistani punjabis do eat a lot of pulao and biryani. I am not punjabi, but I find Muslim punjabi and sikh/hindu punjabi cuisine is very different. I wonder why though, because even sikhs eat meat
No match for Biryani to Dawal Chawal, that option added accidently!
Biryani > Rest all
Guys, that's mean.
