Just bought the baseball pitch machine that shirazi posted a video on. It will arrive in the mail with 3-4 business days and I will upload an unboxing video as well as an assembly video for anyone interested on how to see the bowling machine works.

I still need some help on how to adjust the automatic ball feeder so that it delivers the ball in cricket trajectory and also how to set up the machine so it bowls Yorkers, full length, good and short lengths.

So in the meanwhile if you want to give suggestions or answer my question I will be glad. Thank you!

Btw, do you guys think this will help increase my batting? Cause I really suck in the aspect of foot work and defensive shots and I really want to improve.

I wouldn't know how to set it up but it should improve all aspects of batting. Just don't be put off after a few goes. Keep practising because its the only way you will ever improve.

Yea! Great idea man. Assembly is very easy actually. When I peaked into the box, I could tell that we basically have to just connect the 3 legs and insert the unit but setup needs to be done as well. Nevertheless, I will take some video!

By the way, for your Sandlot machine, do not buy anymore 60mph balls. Those balls are junk...

The balls are very very light. They are basically made of some type of plastic/foam hybrid.

I am trying to do some research on what type of balls to use and if there can be any damage to the machine by using different balls.

yo i read both of the reviews and they said the one of the balls were heavy and the other one was like a softball.

if u have any tennis balls try to see if they work and ill try as well.

im scared that if i use a tennis ball and it gets stuck inside the machine im screwed. lol thanks for the recommendation to not buy those balls. i was about to order one more pack but didnt.

i think the 40 mph balls are better because they are heavier thus the slower pace. lemme order those and ill give u a reply as soon as i get them. keep in touch about ur experience with the machine too

I dont think tennis balls would be ideal. IMO, tennis balls and real balls have too much timing difference and if you are trying to perfect your game, then you need balls which closely resemble to the real ball in terms of weight.

Adil Bhai, is it possible to have more than 6 balls at the time?

Also yaar keep us updated on the balls, the first link of Amazon looks good as you can used those in garage too! I hope they are alright for the machine.

I have no idea where you're getting your information but I have both the 40 and 60mph balls and they're fine for all intents and purposes.

Lite-Ball machines are made to use proprietary balls and using anything else is an unnecessary risk.

You're right about the two balls linked previously.

The Tuffey balls are meant for Atec machines and are not the correct weight for the machine. What that means is that they'll destroy the machine's wheels/motors if one tries to use them.

The 12" balls are too big for a baseball pitching machine so I doubt they'll even fit inside the machine, let alone get through the wheel.

As I mentioned previously, stick to what the manufacturer recommends, it'll save you a headache in the future.

Keep in mind, the orange 40mph balls are ideal for using indoors or outdoors while I wouldn't recommend using the 60mph balls indoors.

The machine I bought (Mattingly Sports Htman Pitching Machine) has an auto feeder for 24 balls and honestly, based on initial observation, I can easily hack the thing to feed as many balls as I like. I will be ordering the balls in a couple of days from amazon. I have found 3 companies and I will simply get it and return the ones which won't work for me.

Hmm..sorry I disagree bhai. 40 mph (yellow balls) have rubber-like material inside and thus, it weighs 3.5-4oz whereas the white balls are empty from inside and just a plastic shell. (By the way I am referring to Heater balls)

With that in mind, I can guarantee you that playing with any ball which weighs less than 3.5oz is not good if you are looking to improve your game. I have heard this from a lot of coaches. In fact, one person I know (a professional first class player) refused to play tape ball or tennis ball games because messes up your timing.

If you are looking for this simply from an entertainment perspective, then yeah it will work. But if your primary purpose is improving game, then you have to get the right balls.

Lastly, I do agree that by using the wrong size or even the wrong weight of the ball may potentially damage the wheel. It won't damage the motor!

I am not an engineer but I have had my fair share of messing around with electronics (building RC cars and RC Helis).

The thing is that most companies that make pitching machines will tell you not to use any other balls but theirs. This is simply a marketing tactic. As long as you are using the same size ball you should be fine.

yea i got it today. i set it up and it doesnt bowl cricket trajectory at all!!! i set it up like shirazi did but still no luck. hows ur machine coming along?

ah sucks. Hopefully shirazi bhai can help you set it up properly.

As for my machine, it's just been unfortunate. Machine is ready to go, bought some balls with extra weight, bough a battery and battery charger so it doesn't require an electrical outlet.

The issue has been timing. Weather has been crazy here on the weekdays and on weekends we have games so no time really to practice.

which balls did u buy? yea lol i feel like a complete idiot. i didnt read the post about flipping the machine 180 degreees. just did that ill wait till tomorrow to see the the machine works.

the balls are really really fast though.
