After one month of staying with Pakistani players, Amir Khan will himself start looking like Rikishi Phatu.
There are fitness trainers with the team - what are they being paid to do?
Looking at the squad about 5 or 6 clearly look overweight.
People are mocking him but Amir would probably do a good job. He's a similar ethnicity to the current players hence would probably know what foods and fitness exercises would work best for their genetics, and no doubt he's probably worked with many talented fitness and nutrition coaches. And maybe it'll inspire the rest a bit, having someone to look up to in that regard.
He's also less likely to be forgiving as he's the one providing the favour. I'm sure some of the fitness coaches don't go so hard as they know bashing a player for their diet/work rate etc. could lead to a dispute between them and the team and eventual sacking.
I definitely take him up on his offer tbh, more to help set up fitness and diet regimes for the future rather than suddenly changing things in the world cup.
If there was a sportsman available to guide Pakistan team on fitness, my vote would go for Jahangir Khan , the legendary squash player - arguably the fittest sportsman in history.
If he can make the Pakistan cricketers reach even a quarter of his level of fitness, you’ve done serious progress.
If you follow him on snapchat / social media you will see that he is a typical British Pakistani who regularly eats burgers / takeaways and goes shisha. Regularly.
I’m sure he cuts down and is better close to a fight but certainly does not live the life of an international level sportsman.
As for not needing the money from ‘broke PCB’... Pakistan v India is among the biggest things in sport. With more than a billion viewers and the popularity on social media, a fighter like him, who earns his salary depending on popularity, knows that along with the millions of tweets and articles following the match, if he gets mentioned this is great free publicity.
Bro people need to realize cricket is a skilled base game not a fitness based game this whole fitness ** is only required when you have the skill to back it up if their is minimal skill maximum fitness wouldn’t help out
