Breaking Bad [SPOILER ALERT]

why would you guys click this thread without watching the episode first? crazy or something?

Breaking Bad

How many years has this show been running for?

Woh...this episode was sick! 2 more episodes left! What a show this has been. The character transformation...the show that exact thing in the beginning of this episode. Brilliant!

Loved it when Walt said this

^ That was a clever attempt from Walt to get Skylar out of legal troubles once he's gone. Walt still cares for his family.

Flash foward is obvious now Walt wanting revenge last scene will most likely be Jesse killing Walt.

Re: Breaking Bad

I've just watched the original pilot episode and think it's worth continuing to watch all of the series. ...

Without giving away to much. is it worth me doing this or will it be a waste of time?

season 5 is epic...and so was the end of season 4...can't say the same about the rest.

Breaking Bad

I watched the original pilot for the first time.

I thought the main man has terminal cancer..how has he made it to season 5???

It's gets a bit dry (season 3 IIRC).. But stick it out.

Good enough that I'll probably watch the entire series again at some point.

Yaat that does'nt answer my question...

Sorry, was answering the other poster.

There is an answer, but I won't spoil it for you.

I will tell you though that the 5 seasons occur over two years.

Walt's 50th birthday occurs during the pilot episode.

His 51st birthday occurs 4 episodes into Season 5.

His 52nd birthday is at the end of the final season, Season 5.

Acha. Will have to check them out, see what the fuss is about :D

what a show, after watching i dont really like thinking about what could happen next cos i just want to enjoy the ride till the end. so so good

Surprised that a lot of professional TV reviewers didn't get that Walt was actually still trying to do good for his family when he made that phone call.

Good Point. I think that's exactly what he did. To save his family from legal troubles

My prediction for next episode is, Skyler and Junior Walt would be at Marie's home having lunch or whatever, and them bam todd's uncle and guys storm the place and leave everyone dead.

and then in final episode we will see huge confrontation between walt and todd uncles

Jesse will stay alive

There shouldn't be any reason for them to go after Walt's family, unless I'm forgetting something. Also I doubt Marie would let Skyler anywhere near her anymore, as she did indirectly cause Hank's death.

A couple of questions,

What makes Walt come back and who's he coming after with the guns he bought?

Who's the ricin for?

He is gonna save Jesse from the Nazis. I guess that's what the gun is for not sure about the ricin.

If you see next week's episode preview,
there is a suspicious car standing outside Walt's home and Skyler is looking at it. Jesse might have spilled some beans and Todd and uncle have marie on hitlist because of what she knows

How many of you noticed this. Walt's pants from first episode of first season. they were brought back in last night's episode

That episode was too much, started getting emotional and whatnot.

What an episode! Shocking, heartbreaking, devastating, awesome, everything. When Vince Gilligan said that this was the best episode of the series, a lot of people including myself thought he was putting unrealistic expectations on himself. But boy was he correct!

Walt v Nazis is clearly the endgame now but how will Jesse get out of this?

Skylar will be safe. Walt will have an epiphany and try and save Jesse from the sh!t he's now in

I thought Walt would change his view on Jesse in this episode itself but obviously not. But your thought does make sense - it would be terrible for these two to end on this note.

If you see next week's episode preview

The thing is no one knows about Walter's connection to the Nazis except for Walter, Jesse and the Nazis themselves. Walter is the only thing connecting them all together and the only person that can drag them down with him. All Marie knows is that Walter is a drug dealer, that is about it, even Skylar doesn't know who Walter deals with.

I have to watch that episode again, so many cold-blooded moments from Walt.

Totally forgot about throwing Jane's death in Jesse's face.

Also, just pushing his wife's car into the street and driving away with the baby.

I can't see Walt going back to save Jesse after what he basically ordered him dead and then told him about Jane. Not sure what the motivation for him to return will be. Maybe the Nazis go after his family while trying to take the DVD?

True but the Walt-Jesse relationship has been so tumultuous. How many times have they fallen out only for them to patch up (admittedly driven by Walt's lies)?

This time, everything is out in the open. Jesse knows about Brock and Jane - the two secrets. Remember that Walt has on occasion risked his own life to save Jesse. Its often forgotten that Walt had no reason to run down those two drug dealers - he only did it to save Jesse.

So its complicated. There's a psychopathic element in the way Walt deals with Jesse but there's also a genuine, almost fatherly care. With Walt clearly hell bent on destroying the Nazis, and Jesse held like a captive dog by the Nazis, there is obvious potential for Walt-Jesse to take another turn in their relationship before the series is out.

Walter White has lost everything. He can't go back to that life, its impossible. Might aswell become Heisenberg full time and regain his meth empire by taking out the Nazis.

I don't know how much more bad-assery I can take before I actually die. Walt and Jesse are done forever now, the revelation about Jane was straight colddddddddddddddddd. I think Walt is gonna go after the Nazis and in the process get killed by Jesse.

Will watch breaking bad after i finish watching LOST (started watching last week on season 4 now), breaking bad seems to be very popular but nothing will ever come close to being better then LOST maybe GOT but seriously the writers have done an amazing job with LOST greatest TV series of all time.

Breaking Bad is quite possibly the best show ever made IMO. The realism and quality of the writing is simply on another level compared to anything else. The last episode - Ozymadias - has a perfect score of 10/10 on IMDB from almost 20,000 votes. I don't think any episode of any show has ever achieved that.

On IMBD Breaking Bad is also at no.3 in the best TV series of all time in terms of no of votes and rating with game of thrones taking the top spot and LOST at no.10. Just done a search on that episode, some have written articles claiming it to be the best episode ever in a TV series and it also acheived its highest rating in america with 6.37 million viewers when in general it has averaged way below that in previous seasons.

LOST would average 16 million in its first season and in its final around 12, i don't know if that's a record but i find it incredible that so many people would watch it an since then no TV series has come close to those numbers.

Will watch breaking bad after LOST though i see that its in the psychological thriller genre, must see for me now.

RE the ratings, that's because Breaking Bad is a cable show requiring a subscription, and Lost was on a public network :)

LOL i didn't know that, makes sense now because averaging 16 million for a subscription show would be astonishing but even then if LOST was on a cable show the numbers would still be high. That episode from breaking bad which was watched by 6.37 is probably the most watched ever in history for a cable show.

Re: Breaking Bad

Better call Saul apparently will be a comedy or very comedic.

Gilligan tying up all loose ends now. It's amazing because I never could've predicted he'd bring up the Gray Matter issue and so late in the show.

Walt has officially morphed into Heisenberg now. No more dual roles now.

I would legit cry at the end of next week's episode.

Do you know last episode is called FeLiNa

That's Iron Lithium Sodium
Means Blood Meth and Tears

its also anagram for Finale.

Vince Giligan is extremely genius

That looks to be a bit of a stretch...

TODD has quickly become my second favourite character after WW. What a boss. :)))

I hate Todd...complete psychopath.

The real question is, how is Gilligan going to tie up all of these loose ends in one episode?
-Walt wanting revenge on Nazis
-Walt and Jesse
-Walt and his family
-Walt and Grey Matter (Gretchen and Elliot)
-Walt and DEA
-Jesse and Todd
-Lydia and Walt/Skyler

Might be missing some, but that looks like a lot to cover in a single episode.

Damnnn. Todd is a complete psycho.

Brings her in Jesse's sight, shoots her from behind in the head. :murali

I think the finale is two hours long.

Aaron Paul tweeted last 2 episodes are 75mins, though he may have meant with adverts as the last one ran only 53mins

5 seasons of Breaking Bad condensed into two hours for the uninitiated... just in time for the finale.

Holiday here tomorrow. What time does the show start in America? I want to watch it live.

You in the UK? Think its around 2am in the morning. I'm just gonna watch it the next morning.

It's over. Decent last episode. Not amazing, but good.

What an amazing series. Sad its come to an end.

The finale was good and a satisfying finish to it all, quality went up as the episode went on - brilliant last scenes. Ozymandias was the peak episode but overall it's been an extremely strong show, probably the best drama series I've seen.

Goodbye Breaking Bad.

Satisfying finish. Everything was wrapped up so well.

Amazing show, what a journey it's been. In the end Walt did everything he could have done and died when there was nothing left for him. Was good to see his relationship with Jesse end in the best possible way.
