Anyone have a review for one of these? new for 2012 and looks like it does what it says on the tin...

Is it a laminate?

Yes they are laminates with 45 mm edges...I was considering getting one but it honestly isnt that impressive, if you want a really good double wood get the MB LE (or a Tim Keeley lol)..

Tim Keeley seems to be highly recommended, why?

I didnt like the profile on it was the main reason, the second is its expensive at least in the US...I mean I could play $20 more and get a Bubber Sher
Tim Keeley is highly recommended because he is one of if not THE best batmaker in the world and his laminates are performance oriented ones (they create a trampoline like effect)

Just found this on TK: So he invented the wheel when it comes to Lams? Now I understand why he's so highly recommended for these...

I have found to see two type of laminates, one is to increase edge size and one is performance based.

The performance based Tim Keeley ones are indeed impressive. The joint is hardly visible on them too

Yes (better in terms of quality too IMO) and Sher Amin, Bubber Sher, and LE all come in laminate
