I think the most likely scenario is that India will beat SL. If that happens, we have to win against Sri Lanka, and can qualify regardless of the India vs South Africa game. Don't let NRR fool you. With only 3 games, it can fluctuate dramatically.
For example, if SA beat India, we would have to cross the lowest NRR out of the two, which might not be as difficult as some posters seem to believe. If India beats SA (more likely based on current form), then we will be through as long as we win. Losing to Sri Lanka will almost be a certain exit based on NRR.
This group is COMPLETELY wide open at this point, with India & Pak slight favorites to qualify.

India won't miss out due to rain but due to losing to SA if it comes to that, no hell will break lose, we should beat SA if we want to qualify, our fate is in our hands

If India beat SL and South Africa beat India then Pak will most likely miss out regardless of their result because NRR was completely destroyed by India

Pakistan has to hand shellacking to SL. Even then it will be tricky as India can beat SL just as convincingly. Their 100 plus run defeat against India cannot easily be offset in one match.
I just hope India play to win against RSA if they defeat Sri Lanka. Should they win both their matches all we need to do is win against Sri Lanka. RSA getting one or no points in a rain effected match will also do as well providing we win our last match. It's gonna be tight I feel.

If we beat Sri Lanka and India beat South Africa we're through. Any other outcome we're out, we aren't getting through by RR with one game to play. India's already got a healthy run rate lead would need an absolute disaster for their Run rate to drop below us even if we get a big win against Sri Lanka.
South Africa are on paper the best team this tournament IMO for these conditions. But tbh think they will lose to India too, India are stronger mentally in tournaments and India are an excellent ODI side. Really AB should have stepped down from captaincy and let Faf take it.

Dont see think this will happen, but if it does we are almost certainly out. SA's run rate will improve with a win against India. And India's run rate atm is so high it isnt going to drop low enough for Pak to edge in.
We need an Indian win. In fact think our chances of getting through by us losing to Sri Lanka and South Africa losing are better than us winning against SL and South Africa winning against India. We really are relying on India to win, otherwise we are almost certainly out.
