Can topple PTI government in a week if Asif Ali Zardari allows, claims Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari

Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday said that the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has distanced Pakistan from the "real essence of democracy".

The PPP leader made these remarks In Lahore while interacting with the legal fraternity on the invitation of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA).

Bilawal said Pakistan, in the recent past, had taken "a step or two towards democracy and at other times a step or two back", but today, Pakistan stood "miles away from democracy".

"Without an independent judiciary, no democracy could flourish in the country. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave the Constitution and democracy to Pakistan. Democracy is just a dream without a constitution. A lawyer established Pakistan and furthermore, a lawyer Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, gave a constitution and democracy to Pakistan."

He added that democracy would not have been possible without an independent judiciary, and the PPP has great respect for the judiciary, but unfortunately, "the judiciary did not render its fair role in the past".

The PPP chairperson further said that the work of the chief justice is to interpret the constitution.

The party has announced a march on Islamabad on February 27 "for protecting democracy, the country, its Constitution and the economy", said Bilawal. He further said the party seeks help in the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Shedding light on the existing accountability system in Pakistan, the Bhutto scion said “my father has been facing forged cases since the last 30 years, my mother faced imprisonment for a long time but history could not be changed", adding that history gave its verdict and her parents were acquitted from the cases.

"We are not fighting for a party or a family, but against the whole system which is weakening Pakistan."

He further stated that Pakistan needs a fair accountability system.

Bilawal further claimed that his party would continue to be a powerful voice for “silent citizens”.

So now, so called leaders are begging "Cheeni Choor" to help them?

On the eve of his party’s historic ‘Awami March’, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to step down ahead of the scheduled march and no-confidence motion against him.

Addressing a news conference at Bilawal House today, the scion of Bhutto dynasty said that there will be no need of protests and a no-confidence motion if Imran Khan resigned himself, adding that after the removal of prime minister, the interim setup would have limited responsibilities and can focus on carrying out electoral reforms and hold transparent elections.

Responding to a question, the PPP chief said that his party believed in the power of the people and democratic politics and demanded that Imran Khan's “facilitators” should remain neutral and no institution should go beyond its mandate.

“We demand that all institutions remain neutral. We hope that if the establishment is neutral then Imran Khan will be defeated in the no-confidence motion. We hope that all the institutions will remain neutral as per the Constitution,” he added.

Bilawal said that Prime Minister Imran, who he said was imposed on the country, had no legal justification for remaining at the helm. “He was selected through rigging and he is a prime minister whose three years of puppet rule have been followed by the funeral of democracy, and the drowning of the economy. The economic, human and democratic rights of the people have been robbed. Khan Sahib has wreaked havoc on everything he has touched in the name of change. Be it foreign policy, be it society, be it politics, be it governance, or be it security matters.”

He said that in view of the current situation, the PPP has decided that it will fight for the rights of the people.

“Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab should be given their rights,” said PPP chief. “The provinces are being deprived of the NFC award,” he added.

Criticising the selected government, Bilawal said, “We have been raising our voice against PTIMF from day one. PTIMF is against the interest of Pakistan.”

Bilawal said the burden of the PTI government's incompetence was being borne by the common man in the form of price-hike of electricity, gas, rising inflation, and uncontrolled petrol and medicines price hikes.

He further said, “We want Pakistan to come out of this deal and make a new deal which is in the interest of the country”. He said that every promise of ‘Khan Sahib’ turned out to be false, adding that Imran Khan has taken U-turns on every commitment.

"This government is undemocratic, but we will take democratic steps to oust it," the PPP chief said. “Our long march is a democratic attack on this undemocratic government.”

He said the purpose of his party’s protest is to convince the people and lawmakers that the “time has come where people have lost confidence in the selected prime minister, now the parliament should also express its distrust”.

He further said that through protests and no-confidence motion, he only wanted immediate and transparent elections in the country. “After the removal of Khan Sahib, the next setup will be to have the mandate to introduce electoral reforms. All the opposition parties agree that whatever government is formed with a fresh mandate, it will have the power to get the people out of the tough times they are currently in.”

Bilawal said that the senior PPP leader, Taj Haider has prepared a comprehensive report on the 2018 elections, in which it has been pointed out how the said election process was compromised and what role was played by which institution. “We want the Election Commission to review this report and investigate it before releasing this report to the public. If the Election Commission does not address our concerns then this report will have to be brought before other concerned institutions and the public.”

Talking about the long march, the PPP chairman said that it would be the longest march in the history of the country covering more than 2,000 kilometres. “The long march starting from Karachi would pass through 37 cities and reach Islamabad.”

PPP chairman Bilawal appealed to the people of Pakistan, the youth, farmers, labourers, women and minorities to support his party, which he said wanted to solve their problems. “Let's build a Pakistan as promised by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.”

Responding to a question from a journalist during a press conference, he said that all the opposition parties would have to come together and be on the same page to remove the present incompetent government. He said that he wanted free and transparent elections in the country as soon as possible.

“I don’t want the 2018 election to be replayed again,” he said. “Imran Khan wants to rig the election, that’s why he’s using tactics such as the PECA ordinance.”

Responding to a question about the march announced by PTI, Bilawal said that the present government was ready to use every tactic to save its ‘tyrannical rule’.

"Our long march will be peaceful, we believe in democracy," said the PPP chief. “I wonder what the gang of political orphans is protesting against. We should be told who has robbed all the rights of Sindh including gas and water.”

Without naming the march of the PTI against his party’s government in Sindh, he questioned whether these people will ask the people to support them because they have sky-rocketed the prices of electricity, gas, petrol and sugar? “Two of his federal ministers robbed a stockpile of fertilizer. There is also a minister who tried to take over the islands of Sindh. I believe the people of Sindh will answer them”, he said and asked to the media to show the truth about who the people are with.

Bilawal said he was confident that the police and the administration would not allow any clash.

In response to another question, he said that we have never asked the workers to take down the flag of any party. “Due to the hard work of the jiyalas, the party has become stronger all over Karachi including Central District.”

PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Senator Raza Rabbani, Senator Sherry Rehman, Senator Taj Haider, Shazia Marri, Faisal Karim Kundi, Waqar Mehdi, Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.

Billo the selected leader of party of thugs. The clown has had more launches than a rocket

Chairperson Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday addressed a huge, charged crowd in Karachi at the start of the PPP’s Awami Long March against the incumbent government.

During his address, Bilawal remarked that the people of Karachi had gathered at the Quaid-e-Azam mausoleum to “send the selected, illegitimate and incapable [government] home.”

Bilawal raising the slogan of "go selected go", said that Karachi is a city where people came from every province and that the economy of the country ran with their sweat and blood.

“The people have been compelled to send Imran Khan home because this illegitimate, incapable and incompetent selected have robbed the people of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa [K-P] of their rights,” he claimed, adding that the PTI government had robbed the people of their votes, pockets and livelihoods.

Read Bilawal throws weight behind fresh polls

He emphasised that the entire opposition had decided to send Prime Minister Imran Khan home and that the jiyalas (supporters) of the PPP were at the forefront of this movement.

“No power can stop these jiyalas,” he said.

Bilawal further said that the Quaid-e-Azam had promised that the country will be a parliamentary democracy but the incumbent government had “attacked our democracy, our economy and human rights”.

“We will complete the mission of Quaid-e-Azam and Shaheed mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and defend the 1973 constitution, the rights of the people and the economy of this country,” he stated.

Bilawal claimed that "the PPP had always defended the rights of the people, increased salaries and pensions, and given rights to the provinces and made them the owner of their own resources."

He alleged that the “puppet” Imran Khan wanted to dismantle the 18th amendment and NFC award.

“Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah is trying to serve the people of the city of Karachi and this province despite the fact that the puppet government of Imran Khan does not provide the due share from NFC to provinces,” Bilawal said.

He maintained that the ruling party has made Pakistan one of the most corrupt countries in the world, adding that Transparency International had declared the PTI government as the "most corrupt government in history".

The PPP chairperson said that the "awami" government will provide resources to the provinces and hence, all cities will get their due share.

He said that it was impossible to achieve anything until “this puppet” was in the government and the PTI-IMF deal was in place.

“The time has come to bring the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan and send him home. Now with this march, cries will be heard from Bani Gala,” he said.

According to Bilawal, the PPP will put the demands of the people of every city on the way to Islamabad during this long march.

“We will attack this government after reaching Islamabad,” he said.

Prior to Bilawal, PPP leaders Murtaza Wahab, Raza Rabbani, Murad Ali Shah, Nisar Khoro and Qamar Zaman Kaira also addressed the people.

Long march route

The march began from Mazar-e-Quaid on February 27 (today) at 10 am and the protesters will reach Badin where they will spend the night. The protesters will resume their journey on February 28 passing through Hyderabad, Hala and Nawabshah and end its second day at Moro.

Marchers will reach Khairpur city on March 1 and end their third day in Sukkur. The long march will then continue from Sukkur on March 2 from where the protesters will reach Rahim Yar Khan.

On March 3, the PPP convoy from Rahim Yar Khan, passing through Bahawalpur and Lodhran will end its fifth day with a large public gathering in Multan.

Bilawal throws down gauntlet to Imran

ISLAMABAD:
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday threw down the electoral gauntlet to Prime Minister Imran Khan, challenging him to hold snap polls if he really believed in his formidable popularity.

“He is going to address the nation today. I challenge him to announce dissolution of the assemblies and new elections today and then the PPP will see him [in the elections],” Bilawal said while addressing his party’s long march in Hyderabad on Monday, hours before the PM’s address.

His challenge was ensued by a warning to the prime minister to resign by March 8, when the PPP’s long march is expected to reach Islamabad. “Either he should resign himself or I will not be able to stop Jiyalas in Islamabad.”

Bilawal said he was leading the march to the capital with the aim of unleashing a democratic attack through the no-confidence vote against Imran’s government.

Bilawal believed that the nation has expressed distrust on Imran’s government and asked parliamentarians to follow suit. “The time has come to table the no-confidence move.”

The PPP’s chairman argued that the prime minister and his team were not genuine representatives of the people rather of some other powers. “When they are in trouble, they never look towards the people for support but to the powers who have installed them.”

He blamed the prime minister for making the nation suffer at the hands of his flawed policies and nepotism and said that the people can no longer tolerate him at the helm.

He felt that the PTI’s leadership has begun to take the fight at the PPP’s march even though it only entered its second day on Monday. “We can hear screams from Bani Gala here. In just one day jiyalas have caused him so much pain. What will happen to him [Khan] when we reach Islamabad on March 8.”

He said that his party began the struggle against the PTI’s government after the PTI-IMF budget let loose inflation on the country.

He added that they are also fighting against the government’s policies which have created economic crises. “We have to end this government and send Imran home in order to conduct free and fair elections so that the people’s government which has the real mandate comes to the power.”

Referring to the PTI’s Huqooq-e-Sindh march, which is being led by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, he said the puppet prime minister has sent his federal ministers to lead a march in Sindh in reaction to the PPP’s long march.

He contended that the people of the province will never support Imran’s party because they know that his federal government has been robbing the province’s rights by denying it financial resources and restricting water and gas supplies.

Bilawal blamed the prime minister for doing injustice with all the provinces in the country and said the time has come to hold him accountable. “The time has come to stop this drama.”

Bilawal said the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (Amendment) Ordinance reflected his hidden fears of the public criticism of his government, its deeds and policies.

He added that Imran was a coward because he has been trying to ban criticism over himself, his wife and his government by the media.

“And now an ordinance has come that says anyone abusing prime minister or saying anything wrong against him on the social media will have to go to jail for five years.”

The PPP’s chairman asserted that there is no comparison between former president and PPP’s Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari-led federal government and the one being headed by Imran.

He credited his father for restoring the 1973 Constitution, by enacting the 18th Amendment, gave autonomy to the provinces, renewing national finance commission award and renaming the NWFP as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

He said the Gwadar project and stalled Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline were some other achievement of Zardari government.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday fired a broadside at Prime Minister Imran Khan, accusing him of being apathetic to the problems facing the people of the country.
Continuing his anti-government long march towards the federal capital, the PPP chairman was given a rousing welcome when his caravan reached Khairpur, where he addressed tens of thousands of his supporters.

Addressing a charged crowd, he said that senior PPP leader Qaim Ali Shah and Imran Khan were nearly the same age but Qaim still worked for the youth of the country but the “selected” Imran had disappointed the youth. “The new Pakistan is not accepted by the people because there is no return for the labour of common man, no return for the crops of growers, no return for the educational degrees because the youth cannot get jobs,” the PPP chairman said.

“The history bears witness that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto provided jobs to the people, not only in the country but abroad as well. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto served the people of Pakistan and the slogan that was raised was ‘Benazir Aaye Gi, Rozgar Laye Gi’ [Benazir will come and bring employment],” he added.

Bilawal mentioned that when former president Asif Zardari came to power, the world was going through the worst recession but he introduced the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). “President Zardari increased salaries up to a 100% and pensions by more than a 100%,” he said.

“In contrast, this puppet government for the last three years has been saying that he [Prime Minister Imran] cannot provide jobs to the youth of the country. Every promise by Imran Khan proved to be false whether it was 1 crore [10 million] jobs or 50 lakh [five million] houses,” he continued.

“The Jiyalas will hold him accountable for every lie. Imran says, do not worry if you have expensive gas, petrol, electricity, medicine, essential commodities, edibles etc. He does not know that Jiyalas do not worry but it is time for Imran Khan to start worrying,” he added. “Now, the selected has started worrying,” he said, in the context of the relief package announced by the prime minister on Monday. Bilawal said that Imran had buckled under the pressure of the long march and announced the reduction in the petrol and electricity prices.

However, the PPP chairman told the crowd, Imran “cannot fool the people because they know that just a day before, the price of electricity increased by Rs6 and petrol by Rs12”. “Imran Khan’s gimmickry will not work.” Bilawal said that during the eight years of rule in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and three years in the federal government, Imran could not even match the development carried out by the PPP government in the Khairpur district alone.

“The PPP has established universities in this district. We have Gambat Hospital in Khairpur district which treats kidney, liver, heart, cancer, thalassemia patients and has started free-of-charge bone-marrow transplants. On the other hand, Shaukat Khanum only treats cancer patients and that’s too on hefty charges.”

The PPP chairman announced that his long march would enter Punjab a day after tomorrow and through the GT Road, “we will enter Islamabad and remove this undemocratic puppet in a democratic manner” which he described as the no-confidence motion.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, in an exclusive interview on Geo News programme Geo Pakistan, stated that the current government has deprived the country of democracy and economic growth, as well as eroded popular trust and confidence.

According to the PPP leader, the Opposition parties are all on the same page when it comes to the no-confidence resolution. He said that the Opposition will set up a transitional government after the current government is removed and hold free and fair elections.

"Hopefully, we will be able to oust Imran Khan from parliament once more through a no-trust motion, and as soon as the numbers are complete, Imran Khan will be dismissed," he stated.

PPP is being contacted by many different groups, but it's not the right time to reveal which groups they are, he said. "All cards will be revealed when the time is right," he said.

Bilawal stated in response to PML-Q's vote that "it would not be an easy one; a big offer will have to be made by the government to get their vote."

Bilawal said that the Prime Minister should step down before the PPP reaches Islamabad, and that if the PTI wants to compete, it should do so through elections.

However, he refused to comment on PDM president Maulana Fazlur Rehman's announcement that the Opposition will present a no-confidence motion against the PTI-led government within the next 48 hours.

He also declined to respond to a question about PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif's return, noting that "it is up to Nawaz Sharif whether or not he wants to return."

Talking about his newly born nephew and son of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Bilawal said that it is unfortunate that Asif Ali Zardari (his father) has been unable to see his first grandchild due to his name being on the Exit Control List (ECL) and that he hopes to bring down the incumbent government and replace it with one that comes through clean and fair elections.

Bilawal says PM Imran's 'threat' to Zardari intolerable, tells him to prepare for consequences

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday came down hard on Prime Minister Imran Khan for his speech targeting the opposition a day ago, saying "the threats hurled by Imran at Asif Ali Zardari are intolerable" and asked the premier to now "prepare for the consequences".

Addressing a presser in Islamabad in response to the PM's scathing attack on the opposition, Bilawal warned the prime minister that "you won't be able to forget what I will do with you."

PM Imran had said in his speech that Zardari was his next target and that his "gun was now pointed" at the former president and PPP co-chair, who is Bilawal's father.

"We have not used a gun, but we know how to use it ... Do politics with us, but if you are threatening us, then you must be ready to face the consequences as well," Bilawal told the premier.

The PPP chairperson said "at the time of Shaheed Bibi [his mother Benazir Bhutto's death], I was a teenager, but we are not children anymore. Khan must keep this in mind."

He said the prime minister's speech was a sign of "desperation", adding that "cursing the opposition will not save his seat."

Bilawal also hinted that his party was mulling a legal course against the PM's speech.

These remarks, both by the premier and Bilawal, come amid a heated political landscape in the country as the opposition seeks to oust the PM through a vote of no-confidence in the National Assembly. In this regard, a delegation of senior opposition lawmakers had on Tuesday submitted the no-trust motion against the prime minister with the NA Secretariat.

The premier in his statements has remained confident that he has the support of the majority in the National Assembly and has vowed to go against opposition leaders, who he claims are trying to protect their ill-gotten wealth and corruption, after the no-trust vote. The opposition, on the other hand, says it has the required number to win the no-trust vote as PTI dissidents and disgruntled members are standing with it.

Bilawal said during today's press conference that he was "very confident" that the opposition would succeed in removing the premier through a parliament vote.

'Attack on Aseefa through drone was a message for us'
The PPP leader also said that the "physical attack" on Aseefa Bhutto through a drone camera during his party's rally in Khanewal was "a message for Zardari and the party".

"We have given several sacrifices, but not anymore," said a visibly infuriated Bilawal.

He said the PPP was also considering legal action against the incident. "We are in contact with lawyers and we had also filed a report of the incident."

He said the TV channel whose drone had hit Aseefa tendered an apology in writing, "but we will be in a better position to decide after our investigation is complete."

Bilawal said neither Imran nor anyone else could "break" Zardari through allegations or misuse of power.

"It was a plan that Zardari and Faryal Talpur be first put behind bars and it was also assumed that PPP would remain silent, but that did not happen."

'We hope no one will try to save Imran unconstitutionally'
In response to a question, Bilawal said the role of the establishment could be assessed through history, adding that history tells us that our past is "not a good story".

"We cannot make our institutions controversial because of this one person. We cannot isolate Pakistan for him [PM Imran]."

Without naming any institution, the PPP chairperson said it was hoped that no one would make any undemocratic or unconstitutional attempt to save Imran. "This will become clear very soon," he added.

When asked whether the PPP would accept PTI's Fawad Chaudhry into the party once again as it did with Nadeem Afzal Chan, Bilawal responded: "The name you are mentioning is available in every market."

'Many cases in the offing against Imran'
Talking about the PTI foreign funding case, Bilawal said it had exposed Imran Khan and the irregularities "that he committed in the name of his mother to embezzle funds meant for the Shaukat Khanum Hospital".

He said he had never mentioned the first lady in any of his speeches but "we have learned that there is a widespread murmur in Punjab that no government posting is allowed in the province before the first lady is bribed."

He asked whether PM Imran thought people were fools to believe that his sister Aleema Khan earned her wealth with "sewing machines".

"You have no idea about the cases that are in the offing against you," Bilawal warned the premier.

He invited the prime minister to act against the opposition today, "because you will have no such chance tomorrow".

Do you think Aseefa was attacked with a drone?

Benazir was also not any better, she was also as corrupt as Zardai but with lower IQ compared to her husband.

Saying that the prime minister is resorting to "rigging" in the face of defeat during the upcoming vote of no-confidence in the National Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that Imran Khan is an "undemocratic" person who only believes in "fixing matches".

"Prime minister is panicking now and has now resorted to cursing his opponents because he can see his defeat... if he is an honourable person, he should just step aside but he is an undemocratic person who does not believe in democracy, law or justice... he only believes in fixing matches," he said during a news conference in Islamabad on Sunday.

The premier, Bilawal said, is trying to "rig his way out of the trouble", adding that the opposition and the people of the country will not let that happen.

"All democratic forces of this country are using their right to challenge an undemocratic person... this is our constitutional right... all members of the National Assembly are free to use their right to vote in parliament," he added.

The PPP chief said that the government, after exhausting all its options, has no way to succeed except by rigging but added that the opposition is aware of such tactics.

"If he [PM Imran] had sufficient numbers would he have been panicking," Bilawal said while responding to a question by a journalist and urged the NA Speaker to immediately call the session so the opposition could prove its claim.

"They [government] cannot even trust their own members forget about other members [opposition and allies]... the no-trust vote in NA will succeed beyond your expectations," he also said.

Bilawal lamented the language used by the premier against the members of the opposition during his latest statement, saying that even they know how to respond to such vulgar language but they will not stoop to such low levels of communication.

He said that since PM Imran did not have the numbers in parliament, he is trying to increase his numbers during his rallies. "He is forcing the school children to come to his public gatherings... All patwaris are being tasked to bring in at least 5,000 people."

Bilawal claimed that the prime minister has only a few days left and he still believes the time is still right for him to simply resign like an honourable person. "Your way of politics is not only detrimental for you but also for your party... It will have to bear the burden of your mistakes."

Answering a question about the future strategy of the opposition if the no-trust vote succeeds, the PPP chairman said that they will first seek electoral reforms and will go for new elections.

"Every member of parliament whether he belongs to the opposition or treasury benches has the right to vote in the house but there is a conspiracy to deprive the parliamentarians of this right. We will not tolerate this and we appeal to every single person, every single democratic civilian institution in fact every single individual who has sworn in the oath to protect and defend the Constitution of Pakistan to ensure the constitutional process is followed to ensure that the parliamentarians are allowed to exercise their right to vote."

He appealed to Chief Justice Supreme Court, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court and Chief Election Commissioner to ensure that all members of NA are allowed to exercise their constitutional rights.

To a question regarding the role of government allies, Bilawal said that his party had a few issues with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) in the past, urging the government's ally to work together again for the betterment of Pakistan and Sindh again.

"When we fight, others take advantage of that... the MQM-P is a stakeholder of Karachi but a distance was created between the PPP and the MQM-P under a conspiracy," he added.

Imran has fallen out with the establishment and this is no secret.

The inflation and letting the army makee economic decision has destroyed the country.

You guys call it worst because you have issues with it, imran has many times done the same thing with our politicians there

Imran has fallen out with the establishment and this is no secret.

No, IK hasn't.

The inflation and letting the army makee economic decision has destroyed the country.

Inflation is current world phenomena not just limited to Pakistan and no country has able to control it - absolutely no country. I understand some have to spend extra on tomatoes and potatoes.

All the decision made by PTI so far shows that Pakistan is seeking and hoping economy independence albeit a long road but a right one.

You guys call it worst because you have issues with it, imran has many times done the same thing with our politicians there

Nope! calling out the looteray of Pakistan

going in circle with you again, same repeated comment but nothing to show regarding Billo's achievement in the province that they have controlled. Without that your comment is as hollow as an empty drum.

Why is PPP accusing anyone of rigging. They were against using machines for elections too:))

Why is PPP accusing anyone of rigging. They were against using machines for elections too:))

Because rigging did take place.

Also the machines bought in, they dont eliminate rigging. Had the electronic voting eliminated rigging it would not had been a problem.

Rigging was done the basis of cancellation of vote, this could had been easily solved by creating a paper where the voter doesnt end up punching the vote anywhere else, like in usa.

The problem with the machine vote is that in the balloting nox, a paper print of the vote will be added. The print is basically a pos receipt, those receipts end up vanishing their inks.

Plus the issue of hacking server exists.

Anyways, can any pti fan give gurantee here that they will not be a single cancelled vote?

Major Sahib stop playing naive- the Nooras and PPP have and always fixed elections when they get the chance. The electronic machines aren't perfect but it will stop local political mafias at the behest of the national political leaderships threatening and blackmailing local officials. As to your point about hacking, well if they aren't online they can't be hacked and it will take much more effort and connivance to manage results than is presently required.

Lol, online?

Servers can be hacker, all systems in every constituent will be connected to a main server in the network which can be hacked.

Right now, the thing that makes no sense is why is there balloting and what kind of printer and ink is used in the balloting. The demo that was showed was the pos receipt machine which erases info

[MENTION=135038]Major[/MENTION]'s source and info is total baloney. Can't believe a guy who is supposedly educated can be so misinformed. This might explain his continued support for Billoo Rani and daddy 10%.

There is no server and there is no network. Each EVM is an isolated piece of hardware not connected to the internet or any LAN network. Heck it does not even have any external ports (USB) for somebody to hook on their laptop and alter the firmware. All it does is record each vote and at the end of the voting period prints out total votes for each candidate. A glorified calculator + printer.

These are the people who hope to rule Pakistan. So far from technology.. no wonder Pakistan had zero tech industry when PPP and PML-N were looting and plundering.

And before Major comes back with his usual whataboutry and missing the point, I might add that I hold a bit more knowledge on this subject than the average Joe as it is my field and my zariya-e-maash.

Just ask him what the Ppp solution tomorrow so-called problems will be ?

Covid= lockdown..would have destroyed the ordinary worker and probably sent us into a economic crisis like Sri Lanka

Unemployment= get loans and then increase the size of the public work force. this is from their pathetic manifesto.

Health care = pay for it if you can't tough ask bhutto to save you.

Defence = make friends with the US and stop all military r and d. Stop all collaboration with China and go cap in hand to the US to hand over state secrets in exchange for dollars and kick backs.

Economy = spend money that isn't there by borrowing but spend it on bilawal house and Surrey mahal. Or on mazaars in sindh. Just borrow till you drop and handover the govt to nawaz baba in 4 years time.

CPEC = roll it back to nothing.

Exports = democracy is the best revenge. Exports are not required

Imports = import everything including Bilawals urdu learning guides. No need to make anything in Pakistan. Just borrow and spend. On themselves

IT sector= hand out laptops with benazirs face on them. Then nationalise telecoms so you can give everyone a job looking at the Internet all day. Borrow even more to pay for this.

Transport = get rid of the buses. No need for these are peasants need exercise and walking is good for them. Widen the roads so bilawals motorcade can pass by while he eats another burger.

Foreign policy = just do whatever the West says as long as they let you borrow money. Get rid of Moeed yusuf and send him to jail for trying his best. They don't want the beat for Pakistan only the ten percent..

ISLAMABAD: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Sunday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is running away from the no-confidence motion as he already knew about his defeat from the outset.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Bilawal said that the "captain who knows that he is going to win never runs away from the game."

“The speaker of the National Assembly did not hold the session 14 days after the requisition was passed,” said the chairman, adding that the Constitution of Pakistan says the NA speaker should hold a session after 14 days.

“According to the rules, the voting on the no-confidence motion should take place after seven days of its submission just like it was done during Shaheed Benazir Bhutto's time,” said Bilawal.

The chairman said the prime minister is running away from the motion but “we will not allow him to play with the future of our country.”

He went on to criticise the PM, saying that he has "violated the Constitution of Pakistan", and that the NA speaker failed to follow the rules.

Bilawal said that the Bar Council has presented a petition before the Supreme Court which did not include the names of political parties. However, the chief justice of Pakistan still issued notices to us.

He said the government considers itself to be above the Constitution, laws and rules. “However, there is an institution in the country that is ready to protect our constitutional rights, democratic rights, our votes, and the parliamentarians."

Bilawal said that he will reveal the PM’s "propaganda." adding that "he [PM Imran Khan] is trying to build a narrative that is based on fiction."

Talking about the Parliament Lodges incident, Bilawal said the government initiated it by attacking the parliamentarians and their lodges before arresting them. “When the MNAs moved to the Sindh House after the Parliamentary Lodges incident, the PM started a propaganda against them,” he added.

The chairman challenged the premier, saying that the PPP had accused the PTI of rigging the politics by providing proof to the court.

He added that PM Imran does not have any evidence of wrongdoing against the Opposition and so he is running a propaganda-based campaign.

Referring to PM Imran Khan's speech in Malakand today when he told his dissident MNAs that people will not forgive them if they become turncoats, Bilawal said: “How can you say that the nation will punish the leaders who vote against you? The nation is not in favour of you."

The PPP chairman went on to say that the prime minister has lost the by-elections and local body elections during the last three years. “The nation has always rejected the premier’s fake mandate and it hates the economic policy presented by him. The nation also rejects the PM’s facilitators,” added Bilawal.

Criticising the PM for the country’s deteriorating economy, the PPP chairman said the nation is suffering due to the imposition of heavy taxes, unemployment and poverty. “People who are going against PM Khan will have their names added to history for standing with democracy and the Constitution and they will always be remembered for that,” said Bilawal.

Bilawal further said that the PTI-led government is approaching its end and it will have to give an account of the economic policy and its corruption in the foreign funding case.

“The government has used Islam and the Riyasat-e-Madina narrative to destroy the country,” he said while calling the premier a “foreign-funded agent” who has been planted in Pakistan's political system.

Bilawal said that PM Imran Khan has destroyed the economy, sabotaged the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). “The PM has been tasked to run campaigns for India’s PM Narendra Modi and to follow former president Parvez Musharraf’s three-point agenda.”

The chairman also demanded to take notice of the PM's social media team and the campaigns run by the ministers, adding that "the PM is trying to make the institutions controversial."

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Wednesday said that he will not accept "any kind of rigging" in the upcoming no-trust vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly.

"He [PM Imran] knows he can only win through rigging. This is his last resort," Bilawal said while addressing PPP supporters at a rally in Malakand on Wednesday. "But no selection will take place now. No one is ready to shake hands with you. People have to let this man go."

Bilawal said that the no-confidence motion is a test for the democracy, neutrality, and federation of Pakistan. "We want to face this test democratically. We believe it is very important for the progress of Pakistan," he pointed out, demanding that his party wants the constitutional process of the no-trust vote to be completed soon.

The PPP leader stressed that it was important to oust the prime minister, saying: "We will face him democratically and we will treat the umpire's finger with our thumb, vote, and democracy."

PM Imran Khan would be expelled through a democratic course, Bilawal vowed. "I won't use any undemocratic weapons, nor will I attack any institution. I won't knock on the fourth gate."

It is, in fact, the PM who is violating the Constitution by trapping the speaker [Asad Qaiser] in Article 6, the PPP chairman said as he challenged the premier to cut to the chase and hold the no-confidence motion immediately.

"He must demonstrate his strength through a power show of 173-lawmakers in the National Assembly," Bilawal said. "He calls us rats and is himself running away. You are a rat, Imran Khan."

'PM is using the language of a defeated man'
The PPP leader remarked that while Urdu indeed is Pakistan's national language, "Pashtuns, Seraikis, and Sindhis are equally Pakistanis too, just like those who speak Urdu."

"Before teaching me [Urdu], go teach your children," he hit back at the premier, who had recently mocked Bilawal Urdu proficiency.

Bilawal accused the prime minister of using the language of a "defeated man", saying that it doesn't sound good coming from the prime minister of a country. "You call Maulana Fazlur Rehman diesel but you have forgotten the price of diesel which has skyrocketed. You called Shehbaz boot polisher but you are not left with any more boots. You talk about Madinah from the same mouth you hurl abuses from."

The PPP chairman called out the premier for "sabotaging" the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). "He has been named in so many scandals but refuses to speak on them."

'Fair and transparent elections'
Bilawal promised that the next elections to be held in the country will be "fair and transparent".

"Imran Khan wants the law of the jungle to be implemented," he alleged. "Imran wants to convert all the institutions into his Tiger Force. He wants the media, the NAB, [and] the judiciary to be like his Tiger Force. But our Constitution is clear that no such institution can function out of its domain."

H urged his party's supporters to hold the prime minister accountable through their vote, assuring that the upcoming general elections will be a "democratic revenge".

"When I will visit you next, there will be a new prime minister," he added.

The clown looks worried. Could the billions paid end up wasted?

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Saturday that institutions did not belong to one person but to the people, adding that "I hope they [the institutions] will not make themselves controversial for a single person".

Addressing a public gathering in Parachina, Bilawal said the opposition will not allow for the next elections to be made controversial.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan's government was over and the premier was "retreating like a coward".

Further criticising the premier, the PPP chairperson said that Imran Khan used to say that he would "commit suicide" rather than approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF). "But as soon as he became the prime minister, he went knocking on the IMF’s door," the PPP chairman stated.

Laying in to the premier, Bilawal while referring to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s pre-election slogans of providing jobs to the people, said that, "Imran Khan had promised that people would come to Pakistan for employment; that did not happen. He has, in fact, rendered jobless even those who live in this country."

“We never recognised this rigged government,” Bilawal stated, adding that "Imran Khan was not the prime minister of the Pakistani people but of someone else”. He said the premier had lost the majority and that his "rule was over".

The opposition leader said he would not prefer calling the premier by his surname ‘Khan’. "Khan means bravery. What kind of a captain runs away from the pitch instead of facing the competition?” he said.

Referring to the vote of no-confidence, Bilawal said that he has been waiting for the political contest since March 8. "But the PM refuses to come forward. Demonstrate your sportsman spirit, Imran, and come forward if you have the courage,” the opposition leader asserted.

“Bring a total of 172 members to the assembly and we will recognise you as the prime minister,” Bilawal said as he challenged the premier.

'Imran, West on one-page'

The PPP chairman remarked that PM Imran and the West were on one-page regarding Pakistan's foreign policy, and that is to "destroy the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) agreement".

He said the premier had hurt the country's foreign policy interests. "He is ready to destroy Pakistan to save his power,” Bilwal stated.

The chairman accused the prime minister of ruining Pakistan’s foreign policy and economic interests by damaging CPEC.

‘Pakistan has speakers of every language’

Referring to his faux pas in an earlier rally in Islamabad, Bilawal admitted his Urdu was weak after 30 years, but said the "premier cannot speak the language even after 70 years".

“If my Urdu is weak then you should teach Urdu to your three children,” the PPP leader said in reference to PM Imran's children who live abroad.

We are proud of our national language and we will get better, but know that Pakistan is a country of speakers of every language, Bilawal added.

So imran is gonna remove buzdar after being blackmailed and replace him with elahi :))). Desperate attempt to save himself

Living in pakistan i have the luxury of watching pakistani news channel instead of pasting fb videos

Are these the same channels that told you that ex CJP tapes were real? Are these the same channels that told you that state of emergency was going to be imposed late last year?:)):)):)):)):)):)):))

The PPP has a simple formula to get people to sell their souls. They ply them with alcohol, let them cavort with prostitutes, make videos and offer them money. The Marriot Hotel exposure laid bare the modus operandi of the these thugs. All done with local stolen money from the poor of Sindh and Foreign money from the CIA.

Your problems is that as soon as you find a tiny bit of information that suits you, you start to reply but when it doesnt you run away. So here are some basic questions for Kisko like you.
Do you believe those CJP tapes were real? What happened to the emergency rule? Why do you run away when you present fake news as fact? Where has the money for buying these MNAs come from? Why do PPP Murder journalists? Why have they got protective bail for murderer? Do you support it?

Apparently it is PML N which has reluctantly agreed to make Pervez Elahi the CM of Punjab for six months. PPP told PML-N if they did not agree to this then they were out from the NCV.

I didnt read into the cjp tapes afterwards. Emergency and everything else they were mulling towards it. Remember ordinance upon ordinances were passed, but after the musarrafe incident, politicians would think twoce before declaring emergency.

Ppp feudal mnas are scums and act above all, will federal govt jail them when the murderer arrives at islamabad?

I dont support it.

This is like me asking you, do you support aamir oiaqut type mnas who are part of pti

Major Sahib we told them were fake but you continued to believe them even after they proved fake by none other than you source of information-Geo. I am not sure why you think we will forget
The emergency rule thing was rubbish and again you fell for it and started a thread.
Oh I see the PPP are feudal scums but you support them. Have I missed something? What does that say about you? Buying votes, getting murderers back and using the money off the poor is how they operate but you get selective amnesia. If PE is made the CM then not only is that a big mistake, I would have to start to question Kaptaans political acumen and his niyaat. We like him because he is a maverick, and niyaat is clean. The Chs are coalition partners and have been given more than they deserve, the CMship shouldn't even be an option.

As Prime Minister Imran Khan was addressing a charged rally in Islamabad ahead of the crucial no-trust motion, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Sunday that the premier would soon say why he was "ousted from power".

Talking to media persons accompanied by Shahzain Bugti who today announced to part ways with the PTI government, Bilawal said that the former's decision was a brave one, Express News reported.

After a meeting with the PPP chief at his residence, Bugti announced he would support the opposition in the wake of the no-confidence motion submitted against Premier Imran on March 8.

Bilawal further said, "The prime minister deceived his allies and didn't ensure justice to the people of Balochistan."

"We will take our revenge from a non-democratic man using democratic means and oust the PM through the parliament's vote," he added.

The Bhutto family's scion went on to felicitate everyone for an end to Imran's government, adding his party won't allow anyone to rig the no-trust vote in the National Assembly.

"We won't let Imran fulfil any of his wishes," he said terming "threats to impose a state of emergency, attack at the Parliament Lodges, and other steps a result of frustration in the government's ranks", saying "none of it would work any longer".

Concluding, the PPP chief also said the opposition will ensure that the process of Imran's removal remained peaceful.

On March 8, the united opposition front had filed a requisition for the no-confidence motion against the prime minister, pinning its hopes for its success on the estranged members of the ruling party and its allies.

For making the no-trust vote successful, the opposition needs to have the support of at least 172 of the total 342 members in the lower house of parliament to show a simple majority – leading to the choosing of a new prime minister.

Political analysts conjectured that the opposition could bag the support of 10 lawmakers or more from the ruling party or any of the allies as they had been in touch with it for quite some time now.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has termed the tabling of no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan a “victory” of the opposition, saying that the premier is left with no option to save his government.

“We have emerged victorious... finally, the process [of no-trust proceedings] has kicked off. Now there is no way for Prime Minister Imran to save himself,” he said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday.

His statement comes after Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif presented the no-confidence motion against PM Imran in the lower house of parliament earlier in the day.

“We are heading towards transparent elections..soon we will rid this country of the 'selected' regime,” the PPP chairman said.

Responding to a question, Bilawal said joint opposition has the support of more than the required number of lawmakers to de-seat the premier through the no-trust voting.

When asked about reports that the ruling PTI’s key ally, PML-Q, has announced supporting the government. “The government should not put its words in Pervez Elahi mouth... no ally of the PTI government spoke in favour of the government in meetings with opposition parties,” he added.

Bilawal said the PPP was finding common grounds to form a working relationship with the MQM-P regardless of their decision of whether they are supporting the opposition or the government in the no-trust move.

“Working relationship is important for the betterment of the economy and the metropolis.”

Bilawal also criticised PM Imran’s Sunday speech, saying that “those leaders who failed to resolve the issue of masses resort to using religion card”.
