Champions Trophy 2025: Josh Inglis stars with 120* as Australia smash 356/5 to defeat England (351/8) by 5 wickets to win Match 4

This is the biggest weakness of Carey. He gets cleaned up by right arm seamers coming round the wicket awful lot of times.

Poor Afghanistan got a pitch tinged with green which was totally favoring South Africa. This pitch is devoid of grass

England batting lacks depth after Livingston no power.

They lack hitters against spin.

Depth in batting is two kinds , one for Red n ball , where tail adds valuable partnerships , other in white ball , where the tail can hit some lusty blows.

Australia's never give up attitude is why their universally admired.

Most sides would fold, but even now England isn't off the hook

This could well go down as one of the GOAT matches at Lahore if Australia pull this off

Batting till no. 9 , Pakistan team late 90s
Its a pity that Pakistan wasted Azhar Mahmood because they thought that only one all rounder can be played. Mahmood was ideal batting all rounder .

In 1987 WC , I think Qadir batting at number 10 was also very deep batting.

ONce they cross 200 without losing a wicket game will become tense. Rashid has 4 overs left. Wood 5. Archer 5 (assuming he can bowl as he appears to be injured).

England probably needs , because they generally do not defend much , and over attack through out.
The focus to strengthen the batting is the primary reason why they don't defend. They still need good enough bowling attack and this today looks to me their best bowling attack without compromising their batting.

Aussies just understand 50 over cricket better than anybody else. No two ways about it. They just know what to do and what not to in each and every situation that presents itself.

Look at how easily Carey and Inglis have shifted the pressure back on to England with constant positive shots and strike rotation. It's like it's in their DNA.

Pandya > Wood/Archer. He would have bowled a boat load of slower balls by now. These guys bowl everything fast and full with zero variations

You can have all the money and resources in the world, but it takes an unbreakable belief and a champion’s mentality to do what Australia does best—win. With half the team missing and the bowlers enduring a tough day at the office, they refuse to back down. Against all odds, they are still fighting, still finding a way to victory. That’s the Aussie way.

149 off 19 overs is quite doable.

Should just continue chipping away at the total bringing it down for a flurry at the end.

Australia has both money and resources lol

Carse is curse for england.

Its seem like australia is going to win by 6 wickets. Both are untroubled so far. Excellent batting

:kp

They all stand up and pay homage to them when they champion their way to the top!

Respect is earned. Fear is inevitable!
What kind of fake England fan are you exactly?

Asian fans might he divided by borders but we are united by our hate of Australia, and our shared trauma.

Absolutely wild to see Wood has a nearly 40 average in ODI's. Even Sami had better numbers in ODI's...

The world if Australia don't win another ICC tournament for the next 50 years
Cricket is more fun with Australia. It would be boring if Australia isn't the team to beat.

India as well but aus more so due to historical significance. They've been dominating and causing upsets and heartbreaks which India has never done.

India only wins if they have a superior team. Their incapable of winning when outgunned like they were in BGT especially in the 5th test when bumrah got injured.

Aus can win under multiple circumstances.

That’s why you can have all the money and resources—not that they don’t—but what Australia possesses is something special, something other teams struggle to build generation after generation.
