I've said a couple of times now that Imran is not accountable for how the Speaker acts, no matter what advice the former gives out. That's politics 101. Speaker is the one to be held accountable. You've totally ignored that point and mumbled something about Supreme Court agreeing with you.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't your SC notorious for siding with everything the Pak army does. They've legitimised every military coup in your country's 70 year history. It doesn't look like a very independent court to me.

The status quo is that Imran is in jail as a result of his wrong doing. Convicted by the Court of Law in Pakistan and disowned by the people as evidenced by the elections. This is the status quo. If you are saying the Court made a mistake, please provide evidence.

Was Mandela in jail for corruption and subverting Constitution? Don't obfuscate. By your own admission you have no connection to Pakistan so if you say you don't trust our Courts that is your choice, but don't pass it off as fact. If you have evidence to challenge status quo let us see it. If there is clear evidence of IK's innocence as you claim he should be out soon I guess?

  1. March 18, 1978: Courts in Pakistan tried Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and awarded him the Death Penalty
  2. March 06, 2024: Courts in Pakistan stated that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was not given a "Fair Trial"

Brothers, this seems less like a discussion about Imran Khan and more like a defense of him. There is an important difference between open conversation and creating repeated threads on an issue that doesn’t directly concern you, unless, of course, you feel a connection through shared Pashtun identity. May I ask, would the same level of concern be shown if it were another politician who was not Pashtun?

Thread 'How to reform Pakistan Army?'

For over 70 years Pakistan Army has ruled Pakistan like their personal fiefdom and sucked the people of Pakistan dry and separated them from their hard earned money.

Releasing Imran Khan (or XYZ) won't make any difference to Pakistan unless and until there are meaningful reforms in the structure of Pakistan Army to prevent ruling by a single person. It doesn't matter whether the COAS is a saint or sinner this position holds too much power. His powers need to be curbed without compromising the fighting strength of Pakistan Army as it is vital for the defense of Pakistan.

I have never supported any political party and have advocated for the separation between Government and Armed Forces. However seeing the lies and the utter levels of delusion from PTI supporters I am going to say it is good we have PDM now. They are not without fault but much much better at making a naya Pakistan than the sham promised by IK. It is also essentially that culprits are brought to justice as in the case of IK so interference is fine in my view.

If your evidence holds in Court of Law, then surely it should be accepted. I accept the Court's Verdict - if you don't the burden of proof is on you. If you have something quantifiable then send to to every Court in the world and news channels...

I don't want to sacrifice the betterment of Pak, but sometimes you need to make some compromises to make sure evil doesn't reign supreme. If the compromise is interference to ensure IK is kicked out from the system then so be it.

If it wasn't stolen and modern militaries dont have just a cameras that can be just stolen without any prior recording of them being stolen( and if that happened where is the record of that) then what happened. If your evidence is detailed, please formally send it to the International Court of Justice or some such body. I am sure with 80-90% of Pak populace behind IK, it will be taken seriously and IK will be sipping juice and eating black lentils by midmonth September.

I think you are telling on yourself here, it seems you believe IK is guilty and repeat the same things about him because of his ethnicity without any real evidence or proof. I’d happily support any non Pashtun if he wasn’t tainted with any links to corruption or came from a dynastic political background. It’s a very low bar we have with Imran Khan.

It was a mistake of IK to appease the TTP and Afghans, the Punjabi establishment would always look to the US for help restoring order as they have done for decades. The Afghans cannot be trusted to rein any Talib in, this causes innocents to die in Pakistan and threatens Pakistans territorial integrity. Open borders don’t work in modern nation states sadly.

No, not at all am I telling myself anything, His guilt was proven in court that’s a matter of record, not my personal opinion. I get you’re struggling to accept it because you’re a hardcore supporter of his party and a fan of his that really isn't my problem. Im not really a conspiracy theory type of person.

I also get that you’d like to involve yourself in Pakistan’s politics, but as an Afghan, this isn’t really your place. It’s best left to Pakistanis to debate and deal with our own justice system flaws and all.

I have a Pakistani friend whose father is a retired General. I’ve known him for 15 years—a true patriot with multiple postgraduate degrees and a family. We often defended Pakistan together on different forums during the War on Terror, and more. He always said he would never leave Pakistan.

He appears on TV shows but his heart is not in it, anymore. He is not an Imran Khan or PTI supporter but loves his country.

But last year, he called me to discuss options for migrating from Pakistan—and it broke my heart. 🥹 Not many things get to me but his phone call bothered me a lot!

Everyone knows Pakistan is not in the right state.

I have friends loyal to Maulana Fazlur-Rahman. Despite their bravado, they know deep down that the country is off track and that Maulana Fazlur-Rahman cannot fix it—the only real option is Imran Khan.

These are practicing Muslims who ignore Imran Khan’s efforts in denouncing Islamophobia and defending the honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him). They also know that Islamic rulings, like a woman’s testimony on her menstrual cycle and Iddat, cannot be overturned—but they remain silent. I urge them to fear Allah and at least stay quiet instead of harming their Akhirat for Maulana Fazlur-Rahman. Many have listened and kept quiet, knowing they have no Islamic evidence or substance to justify their positions.

Many in Pakistan will be psychologically impacted due to their hypocrisy and their mental health will be compromised. As for Trolls, it is extremely dangerous to their mental Health and wellbing because they know that they are lying and being dishonest and these people will impact their families and their relationships.

No one can tell me that Munir and Junta are patriots. A patriot puts his country 1st and loves the people of his country. These criminals have allowed 2 trillion to be stolen, they have murdered fellow countrymen, they have tortured including women and children. They have destroyed the constitution so much the CJP Justice is scared to give a verdict on illegal decisions and as you will see tomorrow the beghairat will once again run and send a criminal decision by the LHC back to the same people
PK is in deep peril, the debt had doubled in 3 years, the economy has crashed and poverty is close to 50%
The Generals see PK as their private entity and cannot let go. Things will get worse until they go back to the barracks

my favourite line from PTI fans is after every 6 months, they right something, yes Imran mad a mistake by doing so and so (during the last 6 months), but he will come back strong or this and that. Only for Imran do some more dumb stuff and for these guys to admitting he was wrong and again hoping for a miracle in the next 6 months

Dear Major,

Imran Khan made many mistakes and made many wrong judgement calls because he is human and all humans make mistakes. But Imran Khan is not Corrupt, there is a difference between bad judgement calls, bad decisions and outright corruption.

You and I (and all of us) make mistakes its in our nature but it doesn't make us criminals.

Why is it that we living in Pakistan are happy with who we elected, and the ones who cant vote and are overseas are so frustrated.
