Complete shutdown in Srinagar over killing of four Kashmir youths

SRINAGAR: A complete shutdown is being observed in occupied Kashmir over the killing of four Kashmiri youths by Indian troops in Chadoora area of Budgam district.

Indian troops shot dead three youths Zahid Rashid, Saqib Ahmad and Ashfaz Ahmad, on Tuesday as they held a demonstration at Chadoora, the Kashmir media service said. Another youth was martyred when Indian police attack a house in the area.

Over 30 people sustained injuries.

The strike call has been given by Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. Shops, schools and businesses have been close while traffic is off the roads.

Meanwhile, the Indian government has imposed curfew-like restrictions to stop people from staging anti-India demonstrations.

We need to question the authenticity of this story. Indian police and military has never admitted a wrong doing in Kashmir. This is 21st century, rather than questioning our government and police we still continue to blindly believe them as we want to believe them. I don't trust what goes on in Kashmir anymore, I'm not going to blindly believe the stories of police or army. I have a relative who served in the Indian army, he wasn't stationed in Kashmir but some of his comrades did. If Indian Army can do what they did to Golden Temple do you think they can't do unnecessary killings in Kashmir ?

America, Britain, the EU, Russia etc just don't care. Hell even the Gulf nations don't really care about the Kashmir issue apart from the odd token statement they make from time to time - the same could be said about the Chinese.

That's why India's hand is so strong when it comes to this conflict - the Kashmiri seperatists and their supporters have no leverage whatsoever. Violence and terrorism hasn't worked, economic pressure didn't work, and the non existent political pressure changes nothing as well.

Yes but still a terribly ineffective plan.

More recruits would only make sense if more numbers can lead to something concrete. More recruits for stone pelting is like multiplying with 0 and if history is anything to go by, it hasn't worked.

People need food, shelter, jobs and development and its sad to see some of them resort to stone pelting.

No lets not leave the topic. Lets talk about this. I will call separatists freedom fighters, be it in Balochistan, Sindh, KPK or Punjab. Even the Indian Punjabis - I will call them freedom fighters. However, you and I know both know that I wouldn't support these people, even the ones in Indian because they aren't the MAJORITY. People against the state from a small community can choose to relocate themselves. Go live wherever you want to. And that is what I say to Baloch separatists, have fun living in India! But not Kashmiris because THEY are MAJORITY. M A J O R I T Y. This where you understand things are bad and the Indian Govt. is forcing them to be a part of the Indian State when clearly that's not what they want.

As for being hit themselves, let me make it clear, a few deaths along the way to freedom (in their minds) will not be too much. Killed innocent civilians inside the golden temple, outside the vicinity and in rural areas. It is much worse since the military had knowledge of civilian presence inside.
