What's new

Congrats Australia on winning Ashes 2nd Test - Adelaide ( + Day 5 comments )

Well, we're all set to embarassingly lose again. Fantastic.

Clarke or McGrath should be in now for Lee. Lee has had a few close calls but enough is enough. I guess McGrath is not going to bowl but a wicket has to fall soon

Anyone know if any boundries have been hit today?

Don't think so. England just want to hang on till lunch and regroup.

LOL the OZ fielders are ooh-aahing every Warne delivery.

And here's the first boundary finally through midwicket.

and with that four Collingwood scored a run after 30-40 min. must have gotten bored or tired himself

Last over before lunch, to be bowled by Lee.

Lunch. England 5-89 (5-127). If England can somehow survive till tea with Collywobble there I reckon they'll have saved the match.

89/5 at lunch im still favoring a draw but certainly the possiblities for aus win have opened up

You never know - Australia still have to face the Wheelie Bin on this wicket if they want to win.

So what ? it will help them speed up the chase? if England can somehow manage a 200 run lead with 50 overs left than we have a contest. Important that these two stay here and atleast get 50 run partnership.

Leave Giles to chip in with a odd 20 and retain his spot.

Score updates pls.

Pls post updates as and when you can

I think i missed out the :D

Second session just started. England 5-89. Huuuuuuuggggeee shout for caught behind second ball after lunch but Aussie Steve says no. I'd like to see Snicko for that one.

LOL Warne looks like a kid who's had his lollipop taken away.

Not out for mine after seeing HotSpot. Good call Aussie Steve.

The pressure is on - close in fielders all around the bat.

GoJo Ggggggggooooooooonnnnnnnnneee England six down! Caught in the slips by Haydunce.

Here comes Wheelie Bin! He should be good for 20-odd valuable runs.

That was a pretty ordinary shot from GoJo. He'd already fluked one through the slip cordon earlier and tried again.

59 overs left.

Lead of 133. Australia should get these last 4 in the next 15 overs or so.

that was close. somehow Collingwood got an inside edge to the pads. a very good ball
95-6 lead of 133

Inside edge saves Collywobble from being bowled through the gate by Lee.

these 2 gentlemen currently batting are the 2 of the least talented players on either teams. So out of the 22...they will be # 21 and 22 on the genetic pool!

Bit harsh on Collywobble. He's got more talent than Anderson I reckon.

Big ripping legbreak from Warney again.

And again, pitched on leg, behind Giles's legs, just a couple of inches from leg stump!

And Warney strikes !!!! Gilo goneski for a duck, caught at slip by Hayden. Made Gilo look like a dunce that over.

Allrounder Giles, picked in the side as a batsman, goes for a duck. But he may yet run through the OZ and steal a win. Look at the turn Warney's getting, surely Giles can get a bit.

England deserve this for being morons and playing Giles for Panesar. Giles was in because he could field better and bat too right? Dropped Ricky Ponting, and now a duck. England thorougly deserve to lose the game for their negativity.

I'm getting worried now - if Lee's swinging the ball, what more will Hoggy do with it? :13:

ahhh good ole Engerland losing the plot as always. They should just try to bat time now and give aussies less time as possible. But it seems impossible, looks like series is going 2-0!

Either we are about to witness anotehr boring Ashes ORRRRRRRRR one of the greatest rearguards in history. I will believe the former.

Your batsmen can play swing, dont worry Aussies got this in the bag.

Huge appeal from Warney for caught behind but Gilly isn't that convinced - he didn't think it was out.

yea but ENG will be hurt mentally while the Aussie are currently on a high.....so i don't think things will be the same! How ever if ENG go on to win this test match then i'll rate this as the most dramatic test match i have ever seen(more than Calcutta 2001)

That was massively close for Hoggy, nearly got bowled by Warne.

Draw's still the most likely option at this stage for mine. We still need to make the runs. But I doubt England can win it at this stage.
