What a monumental achievement for Pakistan cricket! After a 22-year drought, the Men in Green have finally conquered Australia in an ODI series on Australian soil.

This victory marks Pakistan's first ODI series win against Australia in Australia since 2002, ending two decades of waiting and near misses.

With stellar performances from our bowlers especially Haris Rauf, Pakistan has proven their resilience and determination to emerge victorious.

Congrats to Pakistan team and the whole nation.

This win proves pakiatan are the best team in the world if we can beat Australia in Australia we can trash england newzealand, India and South Africa at home too

Calm down dude. Pakistan fans were hyping PCT just before Asia cup 2023 after beating second strings teams,They becomes Number 1 odi team in ICC rankings ( only for few days ) .but we know what was happened in Asia cup 2023 and World Cup 2023.
 
What an absolute dominating series win and that in Australia, crazy scenes. Glad to witness a historic moment. And may we get more good news from Pakistan cricket. Last one to two years have been very dark for Pakistan cricket but seems like the dark clouds are going away.

Well done to the bowling unit, an excellent display of quality fast bowling and superb batting by Saim throughout the series. Proud and well done champs!

Congratulations to PCT on this Achievement. Hopefully our Indian friends don't bring this topic again of us not being able to beat AUS in their backyard. Moreover, this will give great confidence going forward and key now is consistency.

Yes you're right this wasn't a second string team but mostly likely third as australia were not playing more than half of first choice player .

Head , Smith ,marnus, Green , Hazelwood , Cummins , Marsh ,Starc . total 8 players were not playing so this is more like australia D team . :shh

It is a fine achievement. This has proved that good performances from a core group of players (led as always by a fast bowler and left handed opener) can make up for some of the more old fashioned players in the team.

Didn’t your lot get white-washed at home by a team missing their best batter just recently?

Anyways this obvious burnt Indian nutcase aside, good performance by Pakistan. Today’s win might not be that surprising, but the way we thrashed a full strength Australian side in the 2nd ODI was incredible to watch.

Rizwan deserves credit aswell for genius captaincy. Trusted his four pacers to finish off the job and they re-paid the faith.
 
Winning a test series in Aus & Sa is equivalent to a odi World Cup win.

Winning a odi series’s equivalent to t20 World Cup.

Indian team were played very poor cricket so they deserved that humiliation.

And i was replied to a poster who said Pakistan is World best team now just because they has beaten australia . don't forget even Zimbabwe were also beat australia in australia in one odi when they were missing few players ( 2022)

Check Travis head odi number against Pakistan. He has already scored back to back hundreds against Pakistan .

This is why watch all the game not just one of series.

Yes, he’s a very good player but he’s just 1 player. In Australia test series, he was kept quite in all 3 tests. As for Fakhar, he’s right up there and his record speaks for itself. He’s probably Pakistan’s best batter and likely one of the top 5 or 10 ODI batters in the world currently. After Rohit Sharma, there is no other ODI batter who is both established and impactful like Fakhar in the Indian side either.

One series win doesn’t make any team the best.

The takeaway from this series is that our boys do have a bit of talent to do well, provided the background noise is kept to a minimum.
 
@Nikhil_cric please give your detailed analysis on Pakistan pace bowlers’ performance in this series.

You have been active on this topic in literally every thread, surprised you are missing today.

One question for you .you was first one( along with many Pak posters) to put asterisks when india becomes first Asian team to win a series in australia (;2019 )

Any such asterisks here as australia is not just missing Warner and smith but total eight first choice players were not available. :dw :ssmith:kp

Let’s see how Bumrah and Siraj do against the same second tiers in the coming few weeks.

They did a great job against New Zealand B, so we should expect the same consistency going forward.

We are not playing them in ODIs. Wouldn't get too sarcastic or cocky with the bowlers you have. These same "pace" bowlers got pasted by the likes of Afghanistan and USA in recent ICC events.
 
There’s a lot to sort out, but am glad Pakistan won and their fans back home got to enjoy this, especially the average person who deals with extreme economic conditions on a daily. Hopefully this resets some of the scarring caused in Australia during the past and the team work even harder for the CT / make the required adjustments for the tournament.

Ignore bitter replies, pak deserve all applause for current win.
 
Things are looking up. First a test series win against England, now an ODI series win in Australia. It’s a great bounce back from a few months ago.

Not a very good team then if one players makes so much difference, so if on chance he got out early with poor shot or good ball then Pakistan would had beaten them even easier then they beat their B+ team.

As opposed to the world class bowlers who couldn't take Pakistan beyond the Group stage in the 2 recent World Cups?

I said Asia Cup 2018 onwards. Wasn't just that tournament .

You were hyping this pace attack just before World T20 as well and I told you I didn't rate them as highly and you took it as a personal affront.
And we saw all what happened.
 
Biggest challanges for Pakistan has always been effective captaincy, fair selection, calmness and player fitness. Looks like all 3 are heading in right direction now, hence positive results.
 
Congrats to Pakistan on beating an Aussie F side on their own soil.

Never thought I'd see the day. Rizwan has done the unthinkable .

Should be captain until 2027 at least.

Bailed out.before the series and spewed the classic propoganada and India propoganada of pakistan being chaos and a rabble.

One thing to note is how our fast bowlers had the right line and lengths in Australia when usually pakistan bowlers have been clueless down under great work by jason Gillespie a big improvement seen in the quicks .

Why hide Head’s Test & T20I stats vs Pakistan? You have been caught with your pants down, bit like Indian bowlers whenever they bowl to Head, and now you’re trying to dig your way out but I have my foot on your throat as always.

You're always in delusion. This series was played in ODI and head was unavailable so all the missing talk about him when Pakistan won the series.
 
Did not see this coming at all. Credit to Rizwan and the team for winning against all odds. Critics will argue that this was not a full strength Australian team but still to win in Australia is never easy
