Congratulations to Pakistan for a historic ODI series win against Australia after 22 years

What a turnaround since Babar Azam was dumped after the 1st Test vs England.

This proves its all about mindset. Babar had the same set of players under his tenure which ended up with toxicity and cliques in the dressing room.

Nice to the cookie crumble for burnt Indian fans and Rizwan haters.

You're always in delusion. This series was played in ODI and head was unavailable so all the missing talk about him when Pakistan won the series.
Wrong. The point of discussion was Head’s overall performance vs Pakistan/India not in a specific format.

Furthermore, there is no guarantee that Head would have done anything. Pakistan isn’t India, we don’t always open our legs for him.

Had Smith, Cummins, Starc, Maxwell etc. not played the second ODI, people like you would have claimed that Pakistan would have lost the second ODI as well had they played, so zip it and stay low.

One question for you .you was first one( along with many Pak posters) to put asterisks when india becomes first Asian team to win a series in australia (;2019 )

Any such asterisks here as australia is not just missing Warner and smith but total eight first choice players were not available. :dw :ssmith:kp
I am not a Pakistani team fan. I am an Indian team fan. My asterisks are inclusive to Indian team only. :inti

Congrats to genuine Pakistani fans. This is a big win. Hopefully many more to come.

Tissues for all indians and psuedo Pakistani fans. It's so good to see them crying. Keep crying. Hahah

It's been tough days for Indians and others getting humiliated like no tomorrow in home and Pakistan winning test series and now odi series as well.

Interim for now. But PCB will offer him fulltime for One Day Cricket now
That will make sense to be honest. I was seeing after the game, players seem to be going along well with him , many of them hugging him, it looks like he has done his bit to bring the team together.

Good win. Pakistan looking strong for a Champions Trophy win at home.

Excellent effort, its the on field performance which matters no matter how much turmoil is in PCB.

Looking forward to Micky Mouse cricket now ala t20s

We will see what happens in the future, but for now, we will enjoy your zillat.

Lol I didnt play.

So no chance of Zillat or Izzat for me.

By the way, lets keep watching Babar.

I repeat.

Babar is SO AVERAGE that Pakistan winning or losing is IRRELEVANT to his contribution in the team.

Lets keep watching and see it unfold.

Then we will see who has the last laugh.

A victory always feels good.

However, something is missing this time.

It’s not as fulfilling as it should have been.

Perhaps because Australia played this series extremely casually, with no enthusiasm, no Josh o jazba and even announced in advance that they will be resting 80% of their actual team strength in the series decider.

When we win in this way, it just doesn’t feel special.

I would wait for when we beat Aus in a Test series, or beat their full strength ODI squad before calling it historic.

Still a good win.

It's the way we won. Our wins didn't came in with close encounters. That builds up nerves and enthusiasm on every ball of the game. This was one sided victory. There was no thrill in the games.

Oh bhai.

Some have already labelled this as greatest ever victory by Pakistan.

Rizwan is being considered an ATG of the game.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

You are ranting out of frustrating without even realizing that your rambling makes zero sense. You are clearly deeply hurt by the outcome of this series which you clearly didn’t expect.

The only person who needs to wake up is you (from this nightmare).

I reckon if we win the series vs Zimbabwe, these Rizwan cultists will start harping on about how Rizwan has surpassed Imran Khan as the best captain Pakistan has ever had

Guys let's not forget that Babar one a series in South Africa and Zimbabwe one a game last time they toured Australia. The bubble will burst very soon

22 yrs it took us to win a limited over series in Australia.

Last time we won there was shoaib akhtar in 2002 steaming in at over 95mph .

Michael Hussey has stated that this Pakistan team can beat any team anywhere currently.

Can Pakistan defeat Zimbabwe and South Africa in the upcoming tours?

Congratulations to the Pakistan team on a great performance! I was expecting a 0-3 drubbing, so this result is a pleasant surprise. Rizwan captained really well, those who have seen him lead in the PSL won't be surprised, but it’s fantastic to see him replicate it on the international stage. And finally, some solid contributions from our fast bowlers—they've actually won us a series after a long time!

It’s unbelievable and disappointing that some people can’t enjoy this win because of their dislike for Rizwan, instead waiting for his future losses just to gloat. It’s truly shameful.

I have to say one thing. I am deeply hurt by this loss. Genuinely. One thing to lose a series, another to lose it against the captain I hate the most.

However I still take solace in the fact that overall the teams identity is on the right track. Australia playing aggressive and modern cricket irrespective of their ability or skill level is not something that'll ever change.

In rizzu's case, i have full faith that his expiry date is 2027. I witnessed the first odi and batting remains a massive problem for pakistan. Rubbish bowling and rubbish fielding from aus hid this fact.

But pakistan won't truly progress to the next stage as long as Abdullah and Rizwan occupy key positions on the batting order.

Aqib javed was able to get rid of chacha and run machines like nawaz and shadab. So hopefully sense prevails and Abdullah is the next to go.

None of this changes the fact that Rizwan is a far better WK batsman than Sarfaraz.

Fantastic series win — and in Australia to boot !

If it weren’t so tediously predictable, the angst of the “fans” who seem more concerned with personalities (and allow Riz to live rent free in their heads), rather than taking joy in the team winning, would be mildly amusing. As it is, it’s simply peurile.

As the saying goes, it’s always darkest before dawn - with the Test series win against England and now this things are taking a turn for the better.
We won’t win the CT, but if we put in a competitive performance the arch of improvement will continue.

Yeah but only one loser holds the distinction of ending Pakistan's unbeaten series run in the UAE.

The best thing about a Pakistan victory, especially of this significance, is that it roots out all the haters and the pusedo Pakistan fans, who never seem to be satisfied when Pakistan win, ever. Dr Bassim is a classic! Always predicts India to win, then is super hurt whenever Pakistan win.

Bring on the Aloa Vera coated tissues!

😂😂😂

Quite a few salty Indians on here.

Vast majority of player who played vs WI in an ODI series, played here for Australia apart from Cameron Green and Travis head.

As far as the Aussie batting goes outside of the senior players only josh inglis looks decent from their new batsmen.

So this should a huge worry for the Aussies in ODI format.

I thought pakistans pacers individual and collectively bowler to good game plans and exposed the Aussie batting.

Pakistan ODI batting In particularly in PPs needs work one as I'm not convinced by saim or Abdullah as ODI openers.

You can only brat what's in front of you.

We (Pak Cricket Fans) don't care who's playing or who's captaining as long as Pakistan team is winning. I would still be celebrating a Pakistan victory if you put your beloved darlings in there.

Lobbyists sadly don't.

As I said ignore me, Stop liking posts in relation to me, and mind your own business. Moron thinks it's funny being a degenerate.

Go bother Hitman and get owned by him over and over. Uss ka sar kha.

Dude, you're young, but you know how to own imbeciles :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

biggest upset in the history of cricket, not just ODI cricket....even better than 3-0 whitewash by NZ to India

current ranking of asian teams

1. pakistan
2. sri lanka
3. india
4. Afghan
5. Bangla/Nepal/UAE

A few disturbing things.

- Haris Rauf taking wickets. This is ABNORMAL and will not happen again. He will get clobbered for runs in almost EVERY game that matters. Do NOT take this performance seriously.
- Pakistan batting did not get exposed at all. With such low totals, we were never tested.
- In actual cricket matches that matter, our batters will still struggle to score 280-300.
- In actual matches, Haris Rauf, Shaheen and Naseem will still get clobbered.

This victory does not mean we have become a good limited overs team.

Sorry few issues.

1. Haris does get wickets but used to go for more rpo. Finally he has added more consistency and less freebies hopefully it sticks. For his role as long as he gets 2 to 3 wickets in middle overs I don't mind if on batting wickets he even goes at 6 to 7 rpo.
2. Batting was tested on tough conditions against worlds best pacers in their home in first 2 odds and last one also conditions not that easy. Even then with the start and platform we had reached around 150 in around 25 to 30 overs and were on our way to a heaving 275 which would have been winning total. Even 250 would be. So you cant sat batting wasn't test. Is it proven they will do it every time or blast 350 to 400 maybe not. But it's definitely getting better and players will gain confidence from this.

- Harris Rauf his highest wicket taker for Pakistan after playing 39 games ! His avg is 25 in ODIs.

- We put up a low total in 1st ODI, but still made it tough for Australian batters. On the contrary, we chased down low total with 9 wickets in hand against World Champion bowling attack in 2nd ODI. That deserves praise.

- Every international game matters. This is not gully cricket.

Well done to Pakistan, Rizzy and Gilly for a famous series ODI win in Australia. It doesn't mean Pakistan have turned into world beaters overnight but winning breeds confidence and that's the most important thing with the Champions Trophy not far away.

It's massive upgrade over misbah era tbh. We would have found it hard to even chase these small totals.

I have to ask, why would you be hurt by Pakistan winning? I really disliked babar as captain, but every time we win it would make me genuinely happy because Pakistan won.
Yes, Australia were not at their best and weakened in the 3rd match, but this is a huge accomplishment for a Pakistani team to come here and win.
We have lost so many times to weakened NZ, ENG, and SAF teams at home and away.

I think Australia have lost at least 3 triangular series --> 1997, 2002, and 2008. Still a phenomenal record.

Pakistan have won 3 ODI series in Australia since 1997 (1997 tri-series, 2002, and 2024).
Triangular series in australia were top quality .final was best of three finals so always deserving tean won .no Fluke at all .

These days odi/ T20 bilateral series are meaningless as most team don't play with full strength teams.

It's insane how some Pakistan haters who would be in awe of Australia's team, now say their bench strength and their domestic structure are trash and act as if Australia are some minnow team. How pathetic. Give credit where credit is due or beat it with your negativity. We won now suck it up

From the depths of a despair, a nation rises again!

What a victory, must admit, I wasn't interested in this series from what had gone on before over the last couple of years. I had become numb and desensitised but no time to rest on laurels and continue working hard.

For the first time in their history of playing bilateral ODI series comprising three or more games, Australia did not produce a batter who reached at least 50 with the best individual effort being Inglis's 49 in the opening game at the MCG.

As for the tournament, what awesome performance by Pakistan, totally unexpected but it's great it's coming together. A good series win against England and now big win against Australia so it's nice to see wins coming in with dominant performances.

One thing PCB should take from this tournament is how effective Pakistan pace bowlers were on lively pitches and how even our batsmen showed temperament to adjust on these pitches and deliver. Only if they start preparing better lively pitches in Pakistan instead of trashy roads for run fest, we sure can build a world class team as we have always been a powerhouse of fast bowlers, that's been always our strength and our focus and development should always be prioritizing and favouring that department of cricket

Congratulations to Pakistan Cricket team. Winning an ODI SERIES in Australia is like near impossible.

Pakistan in ODI’s under the new captain look like a proper unit. One of the favourites for CT25, for me.

Mainly because I'm sick of Pakistan dominating in bi laterals but getting butchered in tests and icc events. The England test series was a fantastic victory and I'm proud of that

Babar from 2021-2023 was also more or less dominating. The whole losing to NZ C, USA etc started after India butchered Pakistan in asia cup 2023

Oh look another alt

Pakistan's former captain, Waqar Younis, praised Pakistan's ODI series victory over Australia on Australian soil while speaking on a local TV channel:

"By defeating Australia in Australia, Rizwan and his team have made a big mark. Haris Rauf led the way, and hopefully, this performance will continue in the T20 series and the Champions Trophy."

"It’s a great achievement to go and defeat them in their backyard in a country where winning isn't easy. Rizwan and his team have done something remarkable."

"Overall, if I talk about this entire series, Haris, of course, was number one, and Shaheen bowled brilliantly as well. Saim Ayub, who faced a lot of criticism initially, deserves credit for sticking to his style and shots, despite the critiques. I hope this trend continues, both in T20 cricket and in the Champions Trophy."

Congratulations to Pakistani Cricket team!

Didn’t expect that we will have a thread for congratulating a team for winning a bilateral ODI series but hey a win is a win.

In home conditions Pakistan team got a good chance of winning CT.

hope this win doesn’t turn out to be curse like wins of the past, need to keep feet and brains firmly on ground and stop delusional thinking 🤞

Michael Clarke, while speaking on a sports program:

“I'm just a bit confused, so 11 days between now and the first Test (in Perth), why can't the Aussie boys who are part of this Test series play in the one-dayer. If Australia had won the first two games, then you can understand why they rest their big fish, but it was series on the line. I feel like we obviously don't care about losing that series.”

“If you're not going to care, we're not going to care. You can't expect the fans to want to come and watch one-day cricket. We are bagging one-day cricket, no one is turning up, hasn't got the interest.”

While speaking on a sports program, former Australian Test captain Tim Paine has expressed frustration with the heavy criticism aimed at Australia's ODI team following their recent 1-2 series defeat to Pakistan:

"That annoyed me. People were saying, ‘Oh, I can't believe how bad the Australian cricket team are,' and these are cricket commentators—world-class commentators—saying, ‘I can't believe what I'm watching; this is the World Cup holders'. But it's not. The World Cup holders are sitting on the couch getting ready for a Test series."

“We're blooding some youth to give them experience at the international level whilst the big boys get ready for two hugely important series – one in Test cricket and one in white-ball. Relax. It's okay.”

Congrats to Pakistan and all its genuine supporters.

Just when you think that Pakistan cricket team is down and out and things are looking rather bleak, they pull out results that you just don’t expect. The test series win against England and now this ODI series win in Australia.

The best thing about these sort of results is that it exposes the fake fans from the real ones. The ones who are upset that Pakistan won because they have an obvious agenda against Rizwan. Seeing them seethe and make excuses for Pakistan’s victory makes me so happy. Long may that continue!

Pat Cummins Enjoys Coldplay Concert With Wife While Pakistan Hammer Australia In 3rd ODI

Mohammad Rizwan-led Pakistan scripted history in Australia as they won the first ODI series Down Under since 2002. The men in green registered a famous eight-wicket win in the series decider at the Optus Stadium, Perth to clinch the series 2-1.

On the other hand, the hosts rested their key players, such as Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, for the series decider to keep them fresh for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. However, the Australian captain’s recent picture with his wife Becky has sparked an uproar on social media.

While Pakistan thrashed the Aussies in Perth in the 3rd ODI, Cummins was in Sydney to attend a Coldplay concert. His wife Becky shared an Instagram Story, in which she can be seen enjoying the event with her husband.

Meanwhile, the Australian media also came across the picture and didn’t show mercy on Mr & Mrs Cummins. Sydney Morning Herald wrote a news piece titled, “Why Cummins was at Coldplay while Australia were smashed?" The Australian also published an opinion piece and the headline read, “Cummins’ concert jaunt a cold start to summer."

I enjoyed watched this series. Some magnificent fast bowling, particularly from Haris Rauf.

I have been critical of Rizwan in the past but he deserves a lot of credit for this series win.

Congrats and in sha Allah long may this continue because after the defeats against USA and India, I was on the verge of giving up cricket for good.
