Clinical victory. The streak has been broken in the most emphatic fashion . The likes of Shaheen, Babar and Rizwan have done what seemed impossible. Well done :)
 
Fantastic win by Pakistan. Totally controlled the game and won it comfortably.

Fantastic day for PCT and its fans, probably their greatest win since the 1992 final. Well deserved win, taught India a lesson for the ages. Enjoy the victory Pakistani PPers, can not even imagine what this must feel like for you guys. Played liked title favorites, men vs boys display this Sunday evening.

My MOTM is Shaheen, one of the ATG opening spells in the history of T20 WCs. Your openers were very good but that opening burst by Shaheen decided the match in PP, we were always playing catch up after that.

As great as Bumrah is, he is yet to deliver such a spell in ICC tournaments. Shaheen continues the great Pak tradition of producing elite fast bowlers.

Hope we meet again in the final, though can't see any side stopping this Pak team in the UAE.
 
Congrats to Pak fans. Well deserved. Bowled and batted like champs - India was completely outplayed in every department. What surprised me was the intensity shown on the field by Pak team.

Enjoy and savour the victory. Hopefully the bragging rights are short lived. Congrats once again!
 
I mean - I am telling you - even Gods could not have scripted a better way to break the streak.

Pakistan fans - you absolutely deserve to drench yourself in celebrations. Also what a way to start the tournament - Pakistan even before this match was being penciled in for a semi's spot - now it's almost guaranteed.
 
Pakistan played really well. In every department they clicked, and perhaps there have never been a one sided match such as this one. And this shows how great was the batting and bowling performance of Pakistan was.

Congratulations. The streak has ended. And you guys can carry on the momentum while India has lot to think about (to be honest, looking at the team, don't have too much of hope. I'll be surprised if we reach knock out).

Good win by Pakistan, a big surprise. Hopefully we don’t meet India again. Just don’t want to see an India v Pakistan final. I have seen previously, they change the winner in Final.

Never seen such a professional and clinical performance by Pakistan.

Babar Azam is now a certified Minnow Basher. Indians were making of him at the start of the match, While chasing Babar was under more pressure. But the guy is just pure class.
 
Need to this in the ODI WC to really finish the streak for good

Congratulations to them. They looked fired up from ball one and one thing I noticed was that they didn't allow the Indians to rotate strike at all. Usually Indian batsmen are very good at rotating the strike but I noticed a lot of dot balls and that was due to their ultra disciplined bowling and fielding.

Shaheen had a fantastic game while Shadab and Haris did their job. And Babar and Rizwan were clinical with the bat. Deserved the win thoroughly.
 
India couldn’t execute today. Underperformed with the bat and the bowling was flat.

Kohli must be bitterly disappointed with the performance even though he played a champion innings in his own right.

Nevertheless, it is a long tournament and they can regroup.

Yes, this one was special and came after very very long time I had to log-in to PP and watch cricket to celebrate this one. I have not seen Pakistan playing such clinical cricket against a major team in ages and this was one of the most cleanest wins without any if’s and but’s they were dominant for 90% of the game and in the end finished it the way it should have been done.
 
One of the first people to notice this. Group of death is in a way more forgiving. Here it's 2 big games. India's lost one. If we lose another that's it, because barring a miracle it doesn't matter if we end up finishing 3-2.

It's not as long as you think. There's one game. Lose to NZL and barring a miracle that's it for Kohli and for this era of Indian cricket.
 
t20 needs swashbuckling young players. period.
we should have groomed ishan kishan, prithi shaw, padikkal for the world cup.

I think Pakistan was outstanding today. Particularly with the bat. Rizwan and Babar total control. Didn't even let Indian bowlers take a sniff of a wicket.

I thought the reaction of Kohli and the Ind fans was classy. This will help Ind PK relations more than any phone calls between leaders.
As far as Ind chasing- they can with their batting chase any total. Ind can chase 25 more runs than every team bar England

I hope Pakistan wins the T20I world cup this year, they deserve it after all the hardship they faced in last 3 months.
 
Congratulations to Pakistan. As a nation and as a team, we deserved this victory. Our performance in all departments was brilliant. Although India are a brilliant team, they could not execute their plans due the excellent performance of our players.

P.S. To all the Rizwan haters..give up your hate.. respect the Legend in making..he is here to stay..I hope he will have the similar aura and legacy like MSD when he hang his shoes..
 
Honestly, this felt good. I loved to feel like what it must have felt like being an Indian fan in the 2010s when you guys smashed us in tournaments regularly.

However, since 2017, we've played as a different team. This is more or less the same team that won the CT and I love that we've played the same way as we did in that final.

Also, thanks to all Indian posters on PP and Indian friends outside of PP who have been classy in accepting defeat and I even found them rooting for Pakistan. Needed this healthy rivalry back to bring tase into India vs Pakistan.
 
Now that the monkey is off the back, I am hoping for Ind Vs Pak Final. After watching Pak losing WC games despite having better ODI team on paper in many of those tournaments, I feel it is our turn now to walk in as underdogs and turn the tables on them. Goodluck Pak.

Babar , Rizwan and Shaheen were always going to be the danger for us today and they delivered very well.

I wasn't happy but I was impressed because it was a thoroughly professional performance - Pakistan was focused from ball one and the players' heads were in the game. This is the most composed Pakistan performance against India in a very long time.

Although India is by far the better side, this victory was not a fluke.
 
It was a great performance from ball one. They planned well and then executed it as well.

India looked a bit rusty some reason especially the bowling.

However it’s a long tournament and 20/20 anyone can win on their day.

India couldn't execute today? Execute what exactly? They were speechless. They didn't play horrible but Pakista outplayed them. It was such a massive difference in quality between the sides. Pakistan has the way better fast bowling, fielding was superb with these new younger athletic guys, the batting has ATG class batsmen like Babar and Rizwan with dynamic guys like Fakhar and Hafeez to follow. Such a difference in class.
You're favourites like Rohit and Pant were given a reality check. So much hype yet no performance. Even Kohlis inning was poor. For a supposed ATG to be playing out such a slow innings is not good
