kam tests kam positive casesArtificially being brought down
You are over estimating the deaths. It's not that much of a taboo that people in physical agony won't go to hospitals. It's not easy to watch anyone let alone your parents or children die in pain, fully knowing you can make it better. So no, it's not happening in any significant way.
Even if it is, it should be visible with all cause mortality going up, funeral business collapsing and just general news getting around. None of those things is happening.
kam tests kam positive cases
Has it peaked in Pakistan? Will we see similar trajectory as europe?
Sindh reports 2,430 cases, 31 deaths
Sindh has reported 2,430 coronavirus cases and 31 deaths during the past 24 hours, according to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
In a statement issued by the CM House, he said 9,436 tests were carried out in the province during the last 24 hours.
The provincial total has risen to 89,225 while the death toll is 1,437. The chief minister added that 36,072 patients are currently under treatment, while 754 are in critical condition.
The situation is improving vastly throughout the country expect in Sindh, positivity rate has gone down to less than 5% in Islamabad and is hovering around 10-15% in Punjab(was less than 10% for couple of days). Sindh has a positivity rate of ~25% which is very alarming. If situation in Sindh improves, it can get better all around and active cases will also drop significantly, it has gone down from 6k/day on average couple of weeks back to 4k now with Sindh recording almost 60% of total cases in Pakistan daily. Also patients inflow into hospitals has decreased in last week or so.so out of 78 deaths, 31 were in Sindh? is that correct? so the rest of the country combined had 47 deaths in total?
If I am not mistaken, 22k across the whole country? That's very low. These are random or only of those who are symptomatic?
Overall.
Don't you think it is way less?
My home city has done around 10k yesterday (positive numbers are increasing rapidly so tests are increased too).
It is unlikely that the peak for Pakistan has been reached this quick.

That is good as I have followed the situation from the beginning. I have also noticed that the recovery numbers have risen week by week.
Sindh just seem to be mismanaging everything at the moment and I fear the govt may have to take things into their own hands which will cause further problems.
kam tests kam positive cases
Going by the numbers, this seems to be the case.
It will also give a false assurance to people that they may avoid testing/admission to hospital believing it is a seasonal flu (since corona positive numbers are decreasing so they are also less likely to be positive).
By the end of July, this will be clear I guess whether numbers are accurate or artificially brought down.
I know you are in pain as to why things are improving in Pakistan, but less number of testing cannot hide deaths. Even daily deaths have halved from the peak.
So in last week or so Sindh government had reduced testing, refused to collect tax for federal government and yesterday announced they will not participate in the single nationwide curriculum (because obviously agar log parh likh gaye tou inko vote kaun dalayga). I think Sindh government is itself creating grounds for it to be dissolved so that they don't have to answer for 13 years of misrule and instead claim to be siyasi shaheed.
If that is all they have left then they are doomed. I was shocked they rejected the national curriculum. This will massively disadvantage Sindhis with regards to jobs but I suspect that is what they want. To cause a rift between Sindhis and the centre for their own ends. The federal govt needs to start publicising all of this and start putting pressure on the PPP via the media. i dont get why they are not doing so? They are ripe for the taking.
You clearly didn't understand the basics of my post. But it's ok. Carry on.
i shall carry on. You had no point. You were trying to sell the narrative that pakistan is trying to 'fake' a sense of recovery by not testing enough. As i explained testing is down idk why, but testing has no correlation with death rate which has also halved. Yesterday recovered cases went above active cases for the first time since the outbreak.
All of this is dagger through your heart since pandemic is far from over in your country and therefore you are unable to accept that pakistan might have gotten through it.
yet another low day of testing - 22k for last 3 days in a row, been low for just over 10 days,
yet someone said to me they will hit 100k test per day in mid july- i told that guy as we were testing between 28-32k per day -we wont hit that mark - it will be between 40-50k, going at this rate we will hit 30-33k per day in mid july
Since testing rate is going lower than previous month, the new active cases will become less than recovery case. This may manipulate the graph though. Just saying.
Pakistan doing well Alhumdulilah

we are on the right path now. Very very encouraging news , you can see my post. I did not post here based on assumptions or fake numbers.I shall carry on. You had no point. After a very long time I came here to reduce the panic. AFTER being on duty in corona Isolation unit KTh I have observed decrese im admison rates of serious patients and positive cases as well. We have more space for new patiens now as as compared to previous two weeks we had 70 admitted patients now compared to 110 2 weeks ago. Same is the case in most of Kpk districts according to my colleagues working there.

Serious question, how come only Pakistan cricketers and ministers seem to have a lot more % of COVID infection than the common folk? I mean in our part of the world you can’t go higher class than politicians and cricketers.
If a million $ organization affiliated to government like PCB is using faulty equipment that is giving wrong results than What about some remote lab in the country side?
People might get angry and start hurling abuses at me, but let me know if anything I have said defies logic. If you want to bring india in, there are other threads, suit yourself and go crazy there.
I am just saying is this a good example of herd immunity where the rich who live more secluded lives are getting hit while the poor seem to be doing ok? That was my point.
thats because your following twitter accounts and the average Pakistani doesn't have twitter account- and plus the media will always follow the rich
Another low day testing for Pakistan just again 22k, yesterday it was 25k.
Looks like Punjab testing has really gone downhill as the above graphs shows.
In Corona Ward of our hospital, we have less than 40% patients as compared to what we had 3 weeks ago. Imho, From Eid to End of June a lot of people with symptoms didn't tested themselves but did managed to isolate and have recovered by now.
I hope trend over last week is a true indicator and people are not hiding Covid. I also hope people don't mistake declining cases as Covid elimination and continue following SOPs during Eid Week.
