CT: Australia vs England, 6th Match, Jaipur, 09:00 GMT[score updates/discussion]

poor stuff from Harmison, Australia were in big trouble, and he's just let them right back into the match

At the first drinks break Australia are cantering along after losing their first three wickets in rapid succession. Martyn and hussey have added more than 50 runs for the fourth wicket. England just don't seem to have the bowlers who can apply sustained pressure on the batsmen. Harmison has once again struggled while Mahmood has mixed too many poor balls with his excellent ones. Anderson has easily been the pick of the bowlers so far.

Rameez saying Harmisson pulled out of the huddle very quickly during drinks break. I guess the coach didn't send his pepsi out

Aus needs 68 to win with 7 wickets in hand.

there you go the fireworks are on

why is Flintoff in the CT if he is not going to bowl? I am sure there are better batsmen in England and Strauss could have captained here

Harmison is pathetic outside of England, it is official now.

Get this useless tosser out of the ODI side now.

The only good things from this performance are;

a) Opening pair's stand
b) Anderson's return
c) Mahmood on form

Apart from that, we were awful

Rameez describing yardy's bowling: "he fires them in like a diwali cracker"

LOL!!
he is also surprised that Panesar is not in the squad as Yardy can hardly spin. The way two England matches have gone Panesar would have been better over Flintoff as he hasn't done anything with the bat and he is not bowling either

Looks like Aussies are up and running and they only tend to lose the odd game in lengthy tourneys. I hope india beat them in last game so they dont qualify for the semis.

Awsome to see us win last night.
Though another collapse was really bad.
I went to bed at 1/33 and woke finding out that we bame 3/34.
Thats bad.
It was a firing start between Gilly and Watto and if that Light tower didnt go out, I think we might have seen a different result.
I dont think we would have lost Gilly.
That break in play just stopped us from getting on with it and it helped England.
Hopefully this is a bit of a minor mental edge going into the ashes.
But England will have a couple of good things to come out of last nights match.
Bell and Strauss played really well at the top of the innings before some lazy shot selection brought about their downfall.
How long has Bell been at the top of the innings?
He looks very good up there.
Mahmmods bowling looked good including a peach to get Gilly out.

Marto had a present for his 35th brthday by scoring a half century.

Missed the game again apart from the 1st 10 overs so had to rely on a replay - it looked like it was going to be a contest which I had predicted before the game, but it turned out to be a bit of a thumping in the end. But OZ still had to win the key moments - breaking the Strauss-Bell partnership was key, as was the recovery after losing three wickets. Well done to Mitchell and Watson, after getting sprayed before the match they played key figures in the victory. Mitchell looks a bit hit and miss but I think there's enough there to work with, while Watson looks like he's actually learned to move the ball.

I would like to see Hussey promoted to the top of the order with Gilly, and Watson batting at 6 or 7. Bracken proved that he's useless without conditions in his favour - might be worth playing Hogg in the next match depending on the pitch (though India play spin very well). I would've loved to see Shaun Tait here.

Not much to talk about for England aside from the opening stand and Anderson's bowling. The OZ gave Harmlesson a nice workover which was good.

So this win keeps us in the race. One win at a time. India will be much tougher than England though.

We really portrayed our dominance in cricket today. Our abililty to fight back from unprecarious situations makes us a phenominal force.

You mean precarious? I don't think unprecarious is a word, but if it were, it would be the opposite of precarious.

On that note, we haven't been doing a great job of fighting back from precarious situations of late. We played well today, but the fact that we were playing England, who were thrashed by India a few days ago, should be taken into consideration. I'm not totally satisfied with our batting or our bowling in this tournament.
