oh cool saw these pics last years when he was visiting those places but i wasn't sure about names of the places

Very happy with Imran's speech in this jalsa. The points he made are the basic requirements of a society. Some points he touched on are:
1. Education
2. Health
3. Fighting corruption, investing in justice system
4. Employment
5. Raising money internally, tax cuts, etc
6. Promoting tourism

Points N league makes in jalsas "mujhe kyun nikala", "metrooooo", "vote ko izzat do". Lastly they say mujhe phir se vote do.

Points PPP makes in jalsas "shaheed bhutto!". Lastly they say Bhutto ko vote do.

Look up any other party's jalsa all they say is give them vote either on their surname or because of their cast. No one comes up with any points highlighting basic needs of this country.

Imran Khan is such a beast. Massive respect to him for not giving up.

Insha'Allah PTI will win the upcoming elections. Will vote for him from here. If he becomes PM, and things inevitably improve over the upcoming years iA, might have to move back to Pakistan. Why would someone not want to live in a Pakistan that is not run by crooks?

Imran finally announces creation of South Punjab province! (if his party comes into power)

The funny things is all patwaris, jyalas and their leaders are watching Ik's speech from last 1 and half hour chup chup ke and tweeting how bad it is :))

This is heartening to see.

Awesome 11-point agenda. Not a single time did Imran Khan mention building roads, bus or train systems.

No wicket fell today. Not sure what happened.

Amazing speech and crowd!

The way he tried to educate the masses was highlight of his speech.

Yes education, health is same old stuff he talks about and he can't possibly entertain people with irrelevant stuff and these are our core issues.

Critics obviously are NEVER happy, why didn't he provide detailed policies and provide more details/

Well it took him 2 hours to explain his 11 points, no one is going to discuss detailed policy in a jalsa are they?? And considering his opponents can't even put two words together without a ******, he stands way ahead of them.

I dont think that speech was good enough there was no mention of metro, motorway and roads.

Naach gaanay k tanay, 99% people are dancing at songs that are all about Pakistan or PTI.

No wicket fell today. Not sure what happened.

I think that was good because PTI agenda was highlight of the day and anything like wicket would have taken lime light instead of 11 points agenda.

Well said, i do take inspiration from him when it comes to "Never give up" attitude.

Yet we see shortsighted people who just don't understand how difficult it is for anyone to waste 2 decades of your life without ANY personal gain so it's not just as simple as 'Oh he is doing everything with help of hidden hands". It takes determination, effort, commitment, sacrifices to achieve what he has.

Imran Khan unveils populist plan as he launches Pakistan election campaign

Pakistani opposition figure Imran Khan on Sunday vowed to sweep to power in upcoming elections, promising radical change for the poor at a campaign kick-off rally in the city of Lahore that has long been the power base of ousted premier Nawaz Sharif.

With the red-brick minarets of Lahore's Mughal-era Badshahi mosque in sight, Mr Khan outlined a populist 11-point plan to usher in a new era of prosperity that he envisages for Pakistan after the general election at which he hopes to become prime minister.

"Today we are at crossroads," said Mr Khan, a former cricketing hero and founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.

"It is time to change our destiny and think big."

He told a boisterous crowd of about 100,000 people that Pakistan was "heading towards destruction" but his plan would help forge a fairer society and steer Pakistan towards a path first envisaged by the nation's father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Mr Khan said that if elected he would build schools and "world class hospitals" across the country, while farmers would get cheap loans. He also promised to build 5 million homes for the poor, which would create jobs and stimulate the economy.

After spending much of his post-cricket political career on the fringes, Mr Khan has in recent years emerged as a key challenger to Mr Sharif, a three-time prime minister who was ousted by the Supreme Court last year but whose party retains power.

Mr Sharif's legal woes, which the veteran leader says are politically motivated, could further boost Mr Khan in the run up to the elections as an anti-corruption court is due to soon deliver a verdict on another Sharif trial. Mr Khan has predicted Sharif will be jailed before the polls, likely in July.

Mr Khan, who has sought to shed his playboy image of the past, is betting that his anti-corruption message, coupled with anti-America rhetoric and a projecting image of pious devotion, will propel him into power in the deeply conservative Muslim nation of 208 million people.

In Lahore, his message resonated with many of the bandana-wearing young men waving PTI's green and red-colour flags.

"Imran Khan has given us the slogan of 'New Pakistan' and that's what we want," said Shahzad Khan, 17, in reference to the "Naya Pakistan" slogan used by PTI.

The former cricketer has accused Mr Khan of being a puppet of the powerful military establishment that has a history of meddling in Pakistani politics. Mr Khan denies colluding with the army and the military denies interfering in modern-day politics.

To dislodge Mr Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, Mr Khan's PTI will have to make inroads into Pakistan's biggest province, which is home to 110 million people and a well-oiled PML-N electoral machine built over several decades.

Mr Sharif was the chief minister of Punjab in the 1980s and his younger brother Shahbaz has ruled the province since 2008, entrenching PML-N's support across the wealthiest of Pakistan's four provinces.

"We feel they are weakening with every day," Mr Khan told foreign journalists ahead of the rally.

He added that unlike in 2013, when PML-N swept to power, this time around many of the so-called "electables" - politicians who carry large rural vote banks due to their status as tribal elders, feudal lords and heads of various clans - will switch allegiances away from PML-N to PTI.

"The electables...weigh things up, they want to be on the winning side," he said.

But at the Lahore rally, Mr Khan shunned talk of electables and focused on promising a new dawn for Pakistan's poor.

"This system cannot run unless we stand up with the downtrodden," he said. "I am standing with you, it is time of make new Pakistan."

What an outstanding individual Imran Khan is, he was ridiculed and abused for decades but here is he, on the cusp of putting our nation back on track.

So proud to have supported him all these years and we are honestly so lucky to be living in the time of Khan.

Pakistan Zindabad !
