Daughter of Afghanistan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Allegedly Kidnapped and Tortured

Mods: Can we update the OP's title by adding this at the end, "A Possible False Flag Drama, as Afghanis won't cooperate with the official Investigation."

I would say the proof from Afghanistan has the same level of credibility that Pakistan provides. It’s whose narrative gets a bigger play in the mainstream. I am not sure if Pakistan government has that kind of credibility like it or not. There is a reason why China sends its own investigation team after the recent tragedy when Pakistan was saying that there was a malfunction/ accident or Pakistan airplanes get held in friendly countries like Malaysia for non payment and not released on goodwill.

You need to come out of the bubble my friend. This may sound bitter but Pakistan governments especially regardless of who is in power don’t have any credibility. Now even a sensitive topic like Kashmir etc doesn’t get much mileage from friendly counties including China etc for the same reason because no one wants to get into a mess. Modi, genocide,RSS killing muslims might become headlines in Pakistan but they probably at best make it to some obscure corner of the news paper regardless of all the lobbying. Truth has 3 sides your version, my version and actual truth but as they say jiski laathi, uski bhaains and when it comes to lobbying India is far far ahead and Pakistan has itself to blame for losing some credibility. Till then the Afghan version will always be the truth.

Are you living in some parallel universe, or inventing your own alternate realities? :))) Afghan version will be truth? Only in India. :))) No one is reporting on this story anymore, it wasn't even a big deal outside.of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. You guys are seriously deluded since you think Modi, RSS etc don't get much coverage. It gets repeated over and over again in western media. People are very much aware of about Hindu nationalism, Modi etc in the west if one talks to them.

The one in a bubble is you.

What more proof is needed more than cctv images and taxi driver and byastander’s statements ? Come on! It is ok to disagree with someone’s post but be this delusional is a disease. Get yourself checked.

Pakistani version is as credible as Afghan version, not more.

It was reported on all major news outlets.

Whats getting coverage for past two decades is terrorism and pakistan's link to it.

Hindu nationalism or terrorists blowing up or killing people around the world on a regular basis. Which one is getting coverage in western media and have the common public worried.

Major outlets did not send in their reporters - they picked one version and went with it.

I would think that with your analytical background, and by reading multiple reports including the words of the PM of Pakistan, even you would have come to the conclusion that this story is not as it was told by Afghanistan.

Guys - lets keep personal attacks off this thread.

Just facts/arguments please.

Thanks

Well, to you, I would just say the following.

Propaganda when against India. Whole world is against Pakistan when against Pakistan.

Given how you hype up western media when they talk against Pakistan, but absolutely dislike them when they say anything against India. That's all that really needs to be said about the obvious hypocrisy.

Once the Afghan delegation left, the govt can come up with any narrative they want.

Once the Afghan delegation left, the govt can come up with any narrative they want.

Govt has and can release footage that is highly embarrassing to Afghanis. Instead they will attempt to solve this diplomatically and allow the Afghanis to save face.

Trust me on this, its well known what the girl was up to and who with. Pakistani agencies know the real deal but it could be a major diplomatic issue. Not because of any spying but because of 'izzat'

Ask your Father to ask a few of his contacts and you will come to the same conclusion. Maybe you still will pretend online but ask him and see what he says.

Once the Afghan delegation left, the govt can come up with any narrative they want.

So what do you think, why did the girl lie about her whereabouts in pindi? How do you neglect CCTV evidence? Was it fabricated? I just need to know what goes in your brain, when something so obvious is put in front of you.

The Afghan diplomats daughter had a boyfriend, in order to not ruin her family's izzat and get honor killed under Afghan law she decided to make up this story

Most of these posters hve asked you the question, that is video evidence is available then who the hell are you to deny it? You have proof, come up with it. Put up, or shut up. Simple as that. We don’t need to hear your illogical nonsense against Pakistan all the time. From what I am seeing, you are just spreading lies and fake news. Try being responsible as reasonable as a former mod.

The investigation into the alleged kidnapping of the daughter of Afghanistan’s ambassador in Pakistan was complete, while the Afghan investigators were also in the country to look into the matter, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said on Monday.

The minister addressed a press conference in the federal capital, in which he dilated on various issues pertaining to his ministry. He assured that the government would ensure foolproof security system at the Diplomatic Enclave.

Rashid said that the Pakistani side had completed the investigation into the alleged abduction of Selsila Alikhil, the daughter of the Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Alikhil. He added that an investigation team sent by the Afghan government was also part of the probe.

“The Afghan investigation team is in Pakistan to complete its investigation. We are in touch with our Foreign Office [on the investigation],” the minister said, adding: “The Afghan team can meet those persons who have been interrogated by the Islamabad police.”

It was reported last month that Selsila Alikhil, 27, was briefly “kidnapped and tortured” by unidentified people, while returning from a bakery in the posh Blue Area of the federal capital on July 17.

Rashid said that the interior ministry would share facts about the case with the Afghan investigation team through the Foreign Office. He assured that the government would install 190 cameras in the Diplomatic Enclave for the protection of the diplomatic staff there.

About the situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, he said that the army had almost completed the fencing of the border to keep the militants out. He denied any illegal movement through the border, saying that only 208 people, having legal documents, had entered Pakistan.

The minister also rejected the claims that the Taliban militants were residing in Pakistan or any Afghan refugees were coming into Pakistan as a result of the ongoing conflict in the war-torn country.

Responding to a question, Rashid said that all effective measures would be adopted to maintain security and harmony during the upcoming month of Muharramul Haram. A high level meeting will be held online to chalk out a comprehensive security plan for the holy month.

When asked about the people intending to travel abroad, the minister said that the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) would issue the Covid-19 vaccine certificate through its online system to facilitate the Pakistanis at the airports in 64 countries.

He reveals that the government had dismissed all those NADRA officials who were involved in fake national identity cards issue in Karachi and other cities. He added that special directives had been issued to ensure rotation of officials in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and NADRA.

Some people had occupied the posts for the last many years, the minister said, adding: “Some 64 employees of the Passport Office, working in different countries, have been asked to return back to Pakistan by August 20, while other employees would be posted on these posts on merit.”

Speaking about the horrific murder of Noor Mukadam, Rashid said all the accused, including the prime suspect Zahir Jaffer’s parents and driver had been arrested.

The minister was hopeful that the accused would be handed down a death sentence.

I believe she was intentionally kidnapped by the army/ISI. Letting IK know who's boss.

You jumped the gun, next time maybe wait until more information is available to shed light on the matter. Once it's obvious you have got the wrong end of the stick, better just to make a silent retreat. There's enough posters already here who can peddle propaganda from across the border, ill informed attempts aren't helping their cause either.

Pakistani authorities have briefed an Afghan delegation that arrived in Islamabad to probe into the alleged kidnapping of the Afghan envoy’s daughter and also presented before it the relevant forensic evidences including the CCTV footages that did not corroborate the victim’s statement.

Selsela Alikhil, the daughter of Najibullah Alikhil, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Pakistan, was allegedly kidnapped on July 16 and held for several hours by unknown assailants who left her with injuries and rope marks, according to her statement.

On July 18, Afghanistan recalled the ambassador and senior diplomats from Pakistan, noting that the diplomatic staff will not return “until the complete elimination of the security threats, including the arrest and punishment of the perpetrators.”

The Afghan government had also announced sending a security team to Islamabad for assessing the situation before sending the envoy and other diplomats to Islamabad.

According to a statement issued by the foreign office on Sunday, the delegation met with the officials of law enforcement agencies as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was given a comprehensive briefing on all aspects of investigation conducted by the relevant Pakistani authorities.

They were also taken to the Safe City Office, where they were shown video footage from various locations of different timings in which the complainant, Selsela, was clearly identifiable moving around independently.

An on-site visit of all the locations visited by the complainant was arranged for the delegation, followed by a presentation of technical data including findings of mobile forensic and geo fencing.

The delegation was told that law enforcement agencies had carried out a detailed and thorough investigation into the complaint and a comprehensive witness account led to the conclusion that the findings on the ground did not corroborate the report by the complainant.

This was further substantiated by the technical evidence.

The relevant Pakistani authorities reiterated the earlier request for provision of additional information on certain aspects of the case and access to evidence and the complainant. They told the delegation about the measures taken for enhanced security of Afghan Embassy in Islamabad and its consulates.

“Pakistan attaches high importance to its relations with Afghanistan. At this critical juncture in the Afghan peace process, it is extremely important to work jointly for the shared objective of a peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan. Pakistan hopes that the Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad would soon resume its normal operations,” said the statement.

Well, after all the evidences provided to the the Afghan security delegation, let’s see what the official statement from AFG would be now.

With the current infighting in Kabul and Afghanistan, it’s kinda ironic that they are going to send a team to ***** the safety and security situation in Pakistan.

lol - we should tell them straight up, “Safety n security is not good in Pakistan. Stay in Afghanistan and don’t send a single person here”.

Anyway OP title needs updated with the word “allegedly”

Dude! Have some shame. You are made to look like a fool with that narrative of yours. Lol. I am pretty sure no one takes your statements seriously as it, and you lack credibility.
