This is just a motivational thread.

Question is very simple, share your stories if you ever helped someone in any way? By giving money to homeless or food or any other thing.

Share your feelings......


May be by listening to your story some one may get some motivation to do something good.

The Mrs (Shes Romanian/German) used to be in Pakistan (Karachi) during the Eid time especially for 4-5 years and we developed a tradition of cleaning, dressing, feeding the poor kids (around 8 to 10) of them for Eid. The looks on their faces and happiness it emitted was more than reward enough.

However we usually found them the next day sifting through garbage in their old raggedy clothes and when asked what happened they said their parents (usually the father) sold the clothes, shoes etc, usuallyfor some drug money.

We still did it anyway as seeing that expression on their faces for just one day was worth it.

We are also not naive as we both spent a considerable portion of our lives growing up in places like Pakistan and Romania where the mafia controls the beggars so we usually just buy them food and other things that they actually need instead of giving them cash.

All the time. I never refuse if some needy people on the streets ask me for alms, provided I have money in my pocket.

That is the least we could do for those in need.
