Do we really need the ICC?

One thing the rise of Trump has taught us is that we should take nothing for granted, accept nothing and status quo is there to be changed!

In that spirit of things, I ask a simple question.

Is it time to dismantle the ICC and re-start.

Call it League of Cricket Playing Nations (LCPN) or whatever.

Let all nations who play cricket negotiate terms again - start afresh!

With due respect how would that change anything?

Need a fresh look at everything it does.

From the way we treat the associates to who plays whom and when etc - the whole lot - new faces, new people.

I think you

The same issue of boards looking after their own interests first will remain. The Big Three and to a lesser extent the Big 9 + 1 (the full members are just as much a cartel as the Big Three are from the POV of associates) are still going to be around.

Replacing the ICC won't change anything if the boards still work for themselves.

I dislike the ICC find them money spending but I think to deal with boards like BCCI,ECB one needs ICC it creates balance, also if right now Shashank Manohar(Who i dislike) wasn't there I can see Big 3 arm twisting the other boards to acceptance.

It sadly better than the alternative.
