You cannot compare an attack led by a kid and afridi who is so inexperienced and Abbas who has barely played international with a seasoned attack.

All the ingredients are there, they just need to play for some time to get there. Its a pity they don't have a bowling leader who can lead them at the moment

India does have a better bowling lineup than Pakistan. But I feel Pakistan's lineup has a higher ceiling with SSA & Naseem. But obviously they need experience & a proper captain who would smartly manage their workload.

Speed guns are facts and not feelings. And the recorded speed of indian bowlers are available for all to see. Win or loss, they are not trundlers. Also the bowling has been good in all those countries, taking bucket loads for wickets at great average and strike rate. We lose because of our batting

On date Indian pace attack is more experienced and better. But their senior bowlers Ishant, Umesh, Shami have about max of 2 yrs left and next generation Mavi/Nagarkoti still has to earn spurs in domestic.

Pak pace attack is too raw at moment. If Abbas, Shaheen, Naseem, Rauf can stay on track in next 2-3 yrs they will be a seasoned and strong attack.

India has better spinners Ashwin+Jadeja who are as good as Yasir on home tracks and better defensive bowlers for away conditions.

Both teams have problems with spin depth although with Kuldeep India seems to have a good talent

They've all won tests overseas - at least 1 in each nation other than New Zealand.

The pertinent part about your post is that you can name our bowlers, but can't name yours. Hence the term 'no-names'.

Poms won’t have chased 277 against at least 3-4 Indian bowling combination on this track, 9 times out of 10: any combination between four pacers - Bumrah, Shami, Ishant, Yadav and three spinners - Jadeja, Ashwin, Kuldeep... probably Mishra or Chahal as well + Pandeya as all-rounder.

Apart from bowling skills and experience, another reason for that will be captaincy - there are at least 4 players in Indian lineup (Kohli, Rahne, Sharma, Ashwin) who can teach entire PAK management (Azhar, Misbah, WY) how to put pressure on 4th innings and defend a total with a combination of attack.

The target was 277, means first thing they would have done is to make sure ENG needs at least 89-91 overs to chase it, so that English tail has to face 10-12 overs of second new ball, just one example. There are few more, which we have discussed in match thread.
