Look at the skills, physical attributes, pace, bounce, swing, and seam bowling abilities. Overall, it appears that in terms of potential, New Zealand has the best pace attack for seaming tracks, conditions conducive to swing, and, dare I say, even for bouncy wickets.
Kyle Jamieson
Currently injured and out for a year.
If he returns, he offers a 6'10" fast bowler who can swing and seam the ball effectively, generating steep bounce.
Bowls at an average pace of 131 to 140 kilometers per hour.
Matt Henry
Height: 6'2".
A classic seamer with exceptional quality in swing-friendly conditions.
Generates decent bounce and remains effective in most places.
Bowls at an average pace of 129 to 137 kilometers per hour.
William O’Rourke
Quick and bouncy, capable of extracting significant lift from length deliveries.
Can swing the ball and stands over 6'7".
Bowls at an average pace of 132 to 142 kilometers per hour, quicker than Jamieson.
Does not rely on exceeding 145 kilometers per hour to be effective. His height, seam movement, and dangerous bouncers make him a formidable prospect.
Ben Sears
Bowls at an average pace of 134 to 143 kilometers per hour.
Rapid for Test cricket and generates excellent bounce from a good length, similar to William O’Rourke.
Difficult to face on seaming wickets.
Tim Southee
The evergreen veteran. While not express pace, he remains a wily and crafty bowler.
Contributes with the bat as well, adding value to the team.
Weakness: Bench Strength
New Zealand’s bench strength is comparatively poor, which could be a concern in the long run.
