Beautiful reverse inswinger crashing into Mahmood's stumps

umer Gulllllllllllllllllllllllll

youuuuuuuuuuuu lillllllllll beautyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

bowleddddddddddddddddddd him!

47.5 Umar Gul to Mahmood, OUT, very full and a sharp delivery which swung back into the right hander before jagging yet further into Mahmood and, ultimately, into his stumps. A swing of the bat but he was comprehensively beaten there

Considering Pakistani selection history, Faisal Iqbal has been extremely lucky to be given so many chances to prove himself. He needs to perform in this test if he wants to retain a place in the team in the near future.

Thats what I meant about Mahmood being a pathetic batsman ;-)

Not to take anything away from Gul. Excellent ball to break a rather stubborn partnership

I've already called an Akmal-esque saving hundred. ;-)

Well seriously, either way he has already made more runs in his last 3 innings than GoJo did in his last zillion innings. And Read has kept wicket beautifully. No contest for our Ashes wicketkeeper really.

this is what happens when you leave Afridi out at the expense of Faisal iqbal. :12:

Why so angry bro? What happened. Personnaly I would have liked Afridi a as well.

When you watch Nazir bowl, you have to wonder how Pakistan have played Khalil, Rao and Riaz Afridi ahead of him in the last few years.

only pakistan can pull such a thing off

Looks like the Karachi boys get given more chances than most, first Sami and now Iqbal.

We shouldnt have let England get to 158 :12:

They were like 112/6 and should have been bowled out under 150

48.2 Mohammad Asif to Hoggard, no run, biggish shout for lbw but it was going down the leg side by about 17 miles :)):)):))

Be happy with what you got. This very good Now Inshallah we have to get them out before 200.

not a very wise thing to say Khan saahib. We are all pakistanis and thats it

Who knows this might come back to haunt us later in the game. 112/6 with 4 tail-enders to follow, letting them get to 158 is not good

the tail often wags in these situations, I know some Pak fans think their team has to take a wicket per over to be playing acceptably but test cricket isn't like that. Sorry to disappoint you.

Where did I say that they have to take a wicket every over?

And asif has 4. Terriffic bowling. Bounce, movement and accuracy

It's as if you think like that. If a partnership gets into double figures you are seemingly there getting angry, now what is that all about.

Asif gets his 4th wicket...

Woohoo! 4th one for Asif

MJ Hoggard c Kamran Akmal b Mohammad Asif 4 (12b 0x4 0x6) sr: 33.33

England 163/8

outtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

Asifffffffffffff youuuuuuuuuuuuuu lilllllllll beautyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

hoggy goessssssssssssssss

caught behind :11:

Good bowling by Asif. This guy has shown consistency like no other in recent times. May it continue for times to come.

Dont take me wrong here. Its the fact that the partnership reached 44 runs which is making me angry

England are on the ropes here. And The Oval is almost completely silent
50.1 Mohammad Asif to Hoggard, OUT, really good outswinger to Hoggard who hangs his bat out, feathering the outside edge and Akmal makes no mistake

Just Asif and what a difference it makes.

I think Cook, Bell, Panesar, and Read have been quite impressive for England in this series.

this is the reason why it didnt hurt as much pak losing the series....england left to shambles by only an addition of one main bowler

No they have been impressive cus we had no bowling in the series till here.

Asif bowls with such a smooth run-up and seems like he is going through the motions but still he produces unplayable deliveries............amazing.

Well that's life. People who think they can take 3 or 4 tail end wickets for nothing these days, when some of the tailenders are actually alright, need some perspective.

Yet Read and Cook have played decently today and Panesar has nothing to do with the Pakistani bowling...

2 wkts an over....get it right.

Atherton singing the praises of the two W's

I dont know Bootha. They were cheats in 1992, now they are 'the greatest combination of reverse-swing bowlers of all time'.

He should just keep shut and remember that we dont forget!

Andrew Miller splutters "Incidentally, here's what happened to England's batting the last time Mohammad Asif played against them. It doesn't make for good viewing, especially if your name is KP."

http://eap.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/2005-06/ENG_IN_PAK/SCORECARDS/ENG_PAK-A_06-08NOV2005.html

“What a rude boy,” Sarah, feigning work, says of my commentary and takes particular exception to calling her fiancé a splutterer. Humble apologies Mrs Miller To Be. Now, go and do some work. :)):)):)) MAn I like this commentator

Yeah KP is always rubbish against Asif. He's had a bit of a naff series really.

51.4 Umar Gul to Harmison, FOUR, swing, smash, boink, four. Clobbered with style over the covers

:D
