England [386/6] defeat Bangladesh [280] by 106 runs in the 12th match of the 2019 World Cup

Good start from England, read the conditions well and carefully played themselves in for 5 overs before opening their shoulders.

He is not a new ball bowler! BD needs to sack this useless coach Walsh who has done nothing to improve BD pacers unlike Streak 2014-2016. Bangladeshi think tanks, planners are ultra typical minded, going with no plan in terms of pace. Who the hell is going to bowl with new ball? Mashrafe, but who will partner him? You can’t expect Shakib to bowl and delivery away from home on a green ish wicket!
 
Pitch definitely had something to offer fast bowlers. Bit of movement, bit of carry, bounce. Everything wasted as BD was looking for mistakes from England against Shakib.

At this moment, england players run four for the ball which didn't reach the boundary. Are there any pakistani players who could run four? When was the last time you saw that happen?
 
On a fresh seaming pitch, 5 overs of new ball already wasted by bowling Shakib. Did Masrafe read the pitch correctly?
 
Bangladesh does not have proper new white ball bowler with ability to bowl 140+, in the squad. All three, Fizz, Rubel, Saifuddin are old ball bowlers. Fizz can do a decent job with the new ball but ideal his better when the ball is older!
 
Saifuddin getting smashed and rightly so. Mashrafe has lost the plot. Dude bring the fizz for few overs. Saifuddin is a bowler who should be coming on post 20th over!

Malik is the only one who would try. It’s sometning we really need to work on. Puts pressure on the fielding side

England’s openers now have a sudden fatal weakness against spinners, according to some :))
 
This is pop gun bowling and a waste of early morning conditions.

Shakib should only have been given a couple of overs at the start.
 
Now Bengali brothers will feel how it is to bowl to these batsmen. And remember Eng were some 10+ runs after 4 overs and now they are 76 after 11.
 
Let's see what this better than amir (according to few Bangla posters) bowler can pull off, The Fizz I mean,

Why the hell they have a typical old one dimensional mindset? Spin is your strength so lets open spin on a green wicket? Who are the opening pace bowlers? Why are they satisfied to have two medium pace? Are they ever thinking ahead to groom a pacer to open up the innings with the white ball? No. Lets stick to Spin, as if everywhere they play is like Dhaka!

Poor las Saif. Youngster asked to bowl within first ten against the worlds best because they have not got any other seam options as they are too comfortable with spin and few mediums. Team management didnt bring Rubel in.
 
But but BD is better than Pak, no way man we would get such phainty on this pitch,
[MENTION=79064]MMHS[/MENTION] BD may still win, but this is very ordinary start and BD captain and management seems like deer caught in headlights, and still keeping Safudin after 1st 2 overs, and bowling shakib for 5 overs straight. Worst captaincy by best captain in the competition

Why isn't the captain bowling? Surely the wily old man can seam it around in these conditions?
 
If Bangladesh wants to win consistently they really need to find some good Pacers.They won't win much with these trundlers
 
Same pitch where eng lost to pak in CT semi, now hammering bang.

Morgan was coming up with all excuses under the sun instead of saying pak just played us out of the park today.. was coming up with excuses the other day aswell comes across as a sore loser!
 
Don’t want to be arrogant, but it was ridiculous to make a ‘Have Bangladesh and Pakistan exchanged their position in world cricket?’ kind of thread.
 
Exactly over by Shakib. But captain got it wrong over bowled shakib in the first 10. Maybe a few but bowler too much.
 
Alright Bangladesh getting mauled here, and the thing with england is, after a decent start (which they have got) getting wickets doesnt decrease their run rate.

So Shakib has bowled 6 overs of 13 :facepalm: needed at least 7 overs of him later when balls get older.
 
Shakib is better when the shine is off the ball. Obviously no rocket science spinners prefer that. Now BD will have to make up the overs with someone else.
 
Can any Bangladesh poster explain to me why Masrafe is not bowling? Is he feeling like Imran Khan of 1992 world cup?
 
Wicket is a batting paradise. flat as a pancake! But there was some early movements in the first few overs but BD lacked the type of pace bowlers to take advantage of that! Taskin would’ve been useful here!
 
Mike Holding is saying the truth about this wicket it’s flat wicket. Looks can be deceiving. It looks green but there’s nothing in it except early few overs!
 
Half volleys galore. Hope Azhar Mahmood hasnt been coaching Bangla quickies.
