The CT is scewed because team IPL got a rigged tournament with things tailored to their liking which is the same case for 2026 t20 wc.

2027 wc will be more accurate in terms of results.

They won 2024 fairly but thats it. 2025 was rigged and everyone knew it except for our vanishing crybaby merchants.

Clearly he has carrying a niggle that's he will not bowl today.

Not easy as you make it sound. Shane Bond, Ryan Harris and Pattinson found it hard in this format after multiple stress fractures and back surgery.

He will need to make a decision
 
When England needed 60 odd runs they were 5 down. Since then Bumrah hasn't bowled a single over. I wonder if India didn't had faith had Bumrah could take the last 5 wickets when England needed those 60 runs.

Mate, I have been calling it since the Home NZ series.

A good new ball bowler and very good in the first innings. God awful otherwise.

It is a disgrace when people compare Bumrah to Wasim, McGrath, and Marshall.

Bumrah is a good bowler but he is not at the McGrath/Wasim level. Not even close.
 
Both teams bowling attacks on these placid wickets will be exposed

Only difference Is indias long tail will be their achillies heel all series.

Both teams will be happy chasing and batting last in each test in this series.

The irony is that I dont even hate Bumrah 🤣🤣. These Indians just bring up Pakistan this and Bangladesh that as a coping mechanism 🤣🤣.

Bumrah = Bradman in status has to be tue most brain dead baboon moment on this forumn 😭😭.

The England bowling attack is amongst the worst I've ever seen but still blew away the jeets
 
As it was in Edgbaston, as it is in Headingley.
Twice in a row now that India have been pummeled in 4th innings chases in England.

A lot of criticism went to the attack outside Bumrah but they actually kept them in the game today. The bigger more glaring issue is the old school tail, the batting is basically non-existent below no.5. England with their modern tail were able to get within 6 runs on first innings with handy lower order partnerships.

India are currently ranked #4 in ICC Test ranking.

A 0-5 defeat here can send them to #5.

Good signs to come for England then. If these three can stay fit for most of the time now in this WTC cycle. England will have a great chance at playing the 2027 WTC Final.

Agree.

They had a purple patch in Test format. But, that purple patch is gone now.

I expect them to lose most of their away tours. Maybe even some home series as seen from NZ's 3-0 win.

It depends on fitness of the bowlers and Bashir think they need to either bring back Liam Dawson or give Rehan Ahmed a good chance, his younger brother looks to be a very good prospect as well
 
Indias tail is so bad, maybe Gill will have to start declaring inns when India is 5 wickets down like bishen bedi famously did 🤣🤣

Dawson definitely should be back and given confidence. i like him as an all round package.

Tbf, England didnt really bazzball. They played their first innings in a similar fashion and pace to India's first innings.

Then today only Duckett went gun ho after he got settled. Crawley played very slow even for test standards let alone his standards.

Root always bats like this irrespective of the situation. Hes the only player who never bazzballs.

Jamie smith bazzballed when the match was already over.

They took 75+ overs to chase 371, with 6 of those overs being played yesterday. That's a pretty standard chase.

The only person who bazzballed was duckett after he reached 70
 
I mean no disrespect to bumrah he is great of the game but he really let England chase those 2 massive totals which he should have his part in preventing that but both time he looked clueless out there no venom in his bowling on those 2 occasions.

He isnt to be blamed, but he is to be held accountable.

The person that should be blamed are

1) Jaiswal (as a fielder)
2) Jadeja and thakur (As bowlers and batters)
3) Krishna (Good final session bowling but mostly a trundler)

However the myth of Bumrah Bradman is over. Although my guess is Indians will eventually bring it back like they always do 🤣.
 
Yeah just like Imran Khan is responsible for kickstarting the most humiliating Streak across all sport. I respect IK the bowler and captain, but it shouldn't have happened under his watch. His boys, Wasim and Waqar then continued his legacy and so on...

England batted at 4.61 in 1st innings and 4.54 in 2nd innings. This is not the standard rate of Cricket today.

India batted at 4 rpo because the pitch was good and the opponent was England. It has been statistically recorded that since England have opted the Bazzball approach. All the other teams that have batted against them have batted at a quicker than normal run rate. That's Bazzball effect.

Of all the flaws of Bazzball. The one thing you have to give credit to this approach is that it minimizes drawn matches. Case in point only 1 game has been drawn in all Bazzball games so far.
