What's new

England (465 & 373/5) cruise to a comfortable 5-wicket win over India (471 & 364) in the opening Test of the series

Lol hahahah itni khamoshi kyun hai. No indian here in this thread.
They ran away so hard with their tidds jumping up and down.

Very uninspiring captaincy this... Let's see if he makes any improvement (1st test as captain, we shouldn't be too critical)

Indians keep embarrassing themselves. Hahah.
They have low iq and know nothing about cricket.

Pant proved my wrong. Jaiswal proved me right. Pathetic.

I now feel sorry for Pant, since I was so wrong about him. But I feel for Indian posters who are resting their hopes on this elephant

I still have hope. Waiting for the Greatest bowler ever of all time to show up. Anybody knows when we will see this greatest bowler?

If you are a poor fielder (about Jaiswal), then it is that much more pressure to be consistent as a batsman! (If you are not contributing anything in other aspects of game!)

Wanna know why india wont wc 2024? No jaiswal, imagine if this loser was assigned to catch that on the boundary :vk2

I have said this before . To pull off bazball needs incredible ability, mental fortitude, belief , courage and determination. Not at all easy bazballing regularly at 4 rpo, especially in English conditions. The Eng batting resurgence with Stokes captaincy and bazball under coach Baz is nothing short of incredible. And posters like @Mamoon who throws around statements like Bazball is a fad , not real test cricket blah blah dont know or dont realize how tough it is to pull off bazball especially in 4th innings chases.

As Stokes said, Eng have put bums on seats with the pay they have played bazball test cricket and so true that. Irrespective of the WTC results. Eng has been the most watchable test team once Stokes became captain. And Ind team management needs to realize they cant rely on only 1 bowler to win you tests. And need proper bowlers not someone like Jadeja or Prasidh.

Rain saving England.

Why cant we have one overseas tour without umpire, toss luck and rain screwing us?

Mamoon believes azam Khan = Bazzball thats why. He doesn't understand that this method turned england from **** into a world class home test team

Doesn't seem to work in Asia but you can't deny it has worked everywhere else so far. Above all, it is making test cricket more interesting and exciting to watch. That's something that deserves to be applauded

Pakistani posters were quiet since CT humiliation and now coming out in full force courtesy England

@Devadwal we need wicket ASAP.

:dw :kp

Duckett is a proper batter. No hack. Though I agree that the Greatest Bowler of all time shouldn't be getting treated like this.

There was a young batsman called Duckett
India sent Bumrah to chuck it
The ball went for Six
hindutvas cried "FIX!"
Bumrah turned round and said "F-- it"

POTW right there ladies and gentlemen, get the votes in.

14:49 Local Time, 13:49 GMT, 19:19 IST: "Covers coming off" reports Kaushik.

Life is tough yar

India getting thrashed in this series will precipitate the commercial decline of Test cricket.

Only the Ashes will have any significance going forward.
Good, it'll put this rubbish BGT = Ashes nonsense to rest. But but but @Devadwal I only care what legends say :ssmith

If Indians escape this match (they should rethink their gameplan for next game). Prasidh Krishna has been found out, he has go away... Nair & Thakur too... Jaiswal needs some tough fielding sessions (He should either field only in deep OR only close-in, he is not flexible). Also Sudarshan should move down the order...

Jaiswal
Rahul
Easwaran (he is an opener, so he is well suited to negate English conditions & he should play at No.3)
Gill
Pant
Sudarshan (he deserves one more chance, also there are no proper alternatives as of now)
Nitish Reddy
Kuldeep
Arshdeep (let's see how he goes in Tests)
Bumrah
Siraj

I know the tail is even longer now, but we should strengthen the bowling at any cost! If Jadeja is so important then let him bat at No.3 and take more batting responsiblity... He is definitely useless bowler overseas...

BGT was more competitive than any Ashes of the last 15 years to be fair. England didn't even compete in Australia.

But there's a tradition and history there, so fair enough. Time to reduce all Test series (except Ashes) to 3 Test series max.

Duckett showing rubbish Jaiswal how to bat on a flat track. Loser jaiswal.

Posters celebrating not realising that his century was by far the worst :ssmith
