Any idea what Stokes does with bowl in hand. It is just about that one wicket.
 
Another great call by Anil, standing in his debut test.

Apart from 1-2 instances, umpiring has been top notch in this test.
 
This is quite an incredible experience because we are watching two of the five greatest Asian Test cricketers of all time at the crease.

In my opinion, the top 5 greatest Asian Test cricketers of all time based on individual performances + leadership + impact/influence/legacy:

1. Kohli
2. Tendulkar
3. Imran
4. Ashwin
5. Gavaskar
 
Ashwin is difficult to get out. India will still be fancying a draw while these two are there.

I personally do not recognize Muralitharan’s record because he was a cheat and should have been banned permanently in 1995 after the Boxing Day Test.

It was a tough call to pick Ashwin over Kapil. Went with Ashwin in the end by a very fine margin.
 
If we can make it past tea, watching England's faces every ball will be even more entertaining than Kohli batting :misbah
 
England's main threat is Kohli. If he stay India will chase the total. Still have plenty overs to get those runs.

Looks like Kohli will be run out of partners. If other batsman stays in the crease Kohli can chase it. Somehow Anderson is doing really great. England will miss him a lot.
 
Match isn’t gone until it’s gone. India’s best batsman and one of the world’s best batsmen is still at the crease and is playing very well.

If Stokes can bowl a significant number of overs in the series it will really help England. They don’t want the opening bowlers done in after two or three tests.
 
Kohli is going to get stranded. it's a shame one of the Indian top order bats should have helped him out.
 
20 overs of rain would have helped. But it doesn't rain in Chennai.

I agree. We don’t want Stokes bowling himself into the ground and destroying his body like Flintoff did, but even 12 overs an innings across 2 spells would be very useful so everyone else can have a rest.

The good thing is that we are spoilt for choice with quality opening bowlers and we can keep rotating them if necessary. Jimmy, Draco, Woodsy, Woakesy, Jofra. Only two of these (maximum three) would ever play in the same Test XI now.

England have done exceedingly well to win this first test. Root should comfortably win the MOM for his incredible 200.

Two upsets this week. Windies and England. Wasn’t expecting England to win. I can now tell, India will come back hard and destroy England and end few careers in the remaining 3 matches.

But if England wins another match, it’ll be a disastrous tour for India. I know it ain’t happening tho

Not possible to have a upset in a Test, 5 days to long, either side can swing the momentum, more accurately England have bossed India from the toss

Mamoon has made a bigger joke out of himself than he already was after the ridiculous over the top fan girling of kohli, even the Indians don’t agree with him and know for a fact that rahane is the better captain or actually anyone would be a better captain than kohli at this point to be honest.
 
Gotta get our selection sorted. We are carrying at least 3 passengers in team, Rohit, Rahane & Nadeem.

While the first 2 are not going anywhere despite their continued horror show, Nadeem needs to make way for Kuldeep for the next test.

The challenge is to successfully hype up England and at the same time ensure that questions aren’t raised regarding Kohli’s captaincy or the strength and legacy of this Indian team. :))

Rohit is not a passenger in India. He just smoked South Africans in 2019 and he can do that again against England.
 
I actually feel bad anderson didnt get 5 fer.

It was crucial he got one so clouderson fans don't ruin his legacy in the future.
