What's new

England beat Pakistan by 141 runs in the 3rd Test

Oh well a 3-1 loss is on the cards now

England overall game in home conditions is just too strong for us

Looking at the scorecard, you would think it is incredibly difficult to bat at the moment because England are reversing it.

Then you realize Sami Aslam is still there, who is a 20 year old playing his 3rd test match (first in England).

Seniors, especially Hafeez and YK should be ashamed.

England bowlers are much better than Pak bowlers. They can extract just enough of something from this flat pitch to get wickets.

Woakes is an amazing bowler.

As expected

Pakistan collapse

Pathetic

If I was the coach

Id want someone head

Rambo said on Sky commentary that Pakistan have approached the day well and can now be reasonably confident of a draw, just before Misbah got out :))) best commentator's curse of all time.

a proper Pakistani collapse. unlucky Sami.

what kinda seniors have we groomed here.. a 20 year old lad playing his 1st first class game of the year is holding this fragile batting order together....

May God bless him with a century for all his efforts!

He's played like a lion surrounded by jackals and hyenas!

Too late - well done lad, at least you showed some fight

I think we can start preparing the career obituaries for Misbah-ul-Haq.

He brought his team to England: older than Mickey Arthur would want and without the quick bowling all-rounders that Arthur insists upon.

And he presided over the weird all-out defence which exhausted his own bowlers in England's second innings.

I give him one week. Your tired and demoralised team will capitulate at The Oval and then poor Misbah will retire.

Mind you, I think he'll be back, either as Shaharyar Khan's successor or Mickey Arthur's.

You've played to your full potential this series, but ultimately you're paying the price for carrying too many geriatric passengers in an unbalanced team.

Pathetic batting from Pakistan, one bad session has cost us match here

Ramiz Raja's next targets are Sarfaraz and Sami . . then he will hadnover to botham to take care of the tail . .

Ramiz has 4 wickets for no runs . . tried really hard!

We always bottle it in crunch situations

A lead of a 100 and will end up losing by more than 200 runs

Only Pak

I am so jealous.

We couldn't take 6 wickets on last day against WI but England taking down Pakistan on a flat wicket.

As for this game, I expected this possibility.

This has got NOTHING to do with defensive mentality of Pakistan but due to complete and utter lack of discipline and choking.

Misbah will keep defend his useless friends and we will keep same squad for fourth test and end up loosing this test by 3-1

Why are these tailender a playing shots????? Just block. Stupid people will now say we need to put the bowling under pressure

So after Sydney (2010), Guyana (2011), Cape Town (2013) we can now add Edgbaston (2016) to the list as well

All English bowlers are threatening

We one have decent bowler with the new ball in Amir and the rest and bang average.

Would you really have Sohail Khan and Rahat over Yadav or Sharma?

Windies are no Pakistan

By geriatric passengers, I mean Mohammad Hafeez and Younis Khan. Misbah's done okay.

On the contrary, this is one of the best performances of a touring side in England for a long time particularly an Asian one. Losing this match only because of one bad session when the series is at 1-1. Yes Hafeez and Younis should not have been in but hindsight is 20-20. Misbah can hold his head high. Though match is not over yet

This English seam attack has raised their game a notch when it really mattered. Some good hostile bowling by Finn/Broad/Woakes in this session.

This might be one of the best things to happen to Pakistani cricket in the end. Too many people on here kept babbling on about "we can chase 350 because we did it once before against SL, in SL".

Time for a reality check for some people. Our team is a clear underdog against any of the big countries in away conditions.

And its not even like our tail collapsed, 1 run for 4 wickets over 5 overs by our proper batsman + keeper. Long way to still go for this team.

C'mon Amir, show some fight with the bat though

Seems like it is over for Pakistan only Rain can save them now and don't think that's a possibility..

All English bowlers are quicker than ours and taller.

We have just over bowled Yasir shah as a result who isn't no Ajmal

All of a sudden, Finn is bowling like a legend. He has a bit of Pakistani in him. Blows cold all day and all of a sudden becomes an absolute dragon.

The blame lies soloely with Pakistan I bowling. You can't let the opposition get away when you've built a 100 run lead in them.

New Zealand drew a series in England last year. South Africa won their last series in England.

Pakistan have done as well as you can when one of your openers and your Number 4 batsmen are both geriatric passengers who can't score a fifty and miss as many slip catches as they hold on to.

But considering that their A team was in England, with an in-form opener and an in-form Number 4, Pakistan's demise is a self-inflicted and richly deserved consequence for their inflexible selection strategy.
