Let's see if Sri Lanka can muster at least one win on this tour.

First T20 for England since the "Carlos Brathwaite - REMEMBER THE NAME !" moment.

Glad to see Billings is getting a game. Butler opening the innings should be interesting

Jordan should just be used at the death. Hardly ever does he manage to concede below 10 RPO in the Powerplay.

Problem today is England not have any opening bowlers.

I noticed that but generally speaking, too often I've seen him struggling while bowling in the early stages of innings.

He's a good death bowling specialist, but such starts will ruin his confidence.

Great debut performance by Dawson, who now has three wickets. Sri Lanka collapsing like a pack of cards.

This Rambukwella guy is in the team purely because his father is the Media Minister and Sanath his close with his father :)))

Good England bowling effort. Plunkett, Jordan and Mills provide a lot of pace whereas Rashid and the debutant Dawson bowled with control and applied pressure which told on SL's batsmen.

SL around 30-40 runs below par on this surface.

Great finish by the English bowlers. Only conceded 4/31 in the last five overs.

Interesting batting lineup for England; they certainly don't mind experimenting.

Another umpiring decision goes against Sri Lanka.

Big inside edge to the keeper not given.

Poor Sri Lanka, they did not win a single match on their tour of England, not even a warm up match.

Oh well at least they won in Ireland.

Butler look good as a opener. A spell as an opener could help improve his temperament but I also hope he plays more 1st class cricket.

Feel bad for Sri Lanka, they're going through a worser phase than us.

I doubt he'll find himself regularly up there. I wasn't actually able to watch the build up and interviews around the match today but my impression was he was being slotted in as an opener because he himself knows he's poor at starting his innings in the powerplay, which he'll inevitably have to do from time to time even down the order.

In t20s he should bat as high as possible. But top 4 is settled for England in LOI formats so he will have to settle with 5 and can be promoted when chasing a big score.
