Why all are hell bent on giving such long rope to this Guy. Nothing special, a league and domestic player . Ishan kishan better than this guy.

Why are you getting insecure if he gets a long rope lol? Kishan is an opener and Samson is a middle order batsman. Don't try to create forced rivalry between these two because both of them are in the team for different purposes. :inti

Not insecure . I don't find anything special in this guy. Scores against b and c teams or minnows.

Still kishan is a better attacking and flamboyant than the stat padder Samson.

My opinion. Can agree to disagree.
 
I am not watching the game, but if Mavi is indeed bowling in low 120's, he should be dropped immediately. India has plenty of trundlers who has better control at that speed.

The more games he play the more his mediocrity will be exposed.

Looks like Dravids policy is trundlers combo with one 150 plus bowler.

His coaching is similar to his captaincy

KL Rahul, Harshal Patel, Chalal all have close relationships with dravid ,that why these 3 stooges always in the team . Sundar is 100 times better player than harshal Patel

Don't forget Chahal also, specialist spinner bowled two overs. Did misfields as usual but still gets a guaranteed spot.
 
Mavi has taken a 4-fer today but not convinced. The guy bowls 120 kph and doesn't look anything special. This guy used to bowl at high pace few years ago.

Mavi is a classic trundler no doubt about it. Just like Avesh Khan, gets some fluky wickets and will cement the place. Umran was the only positive. Axar, Hooda scoring runs are negatives in my view.
 
Powerful knock from Deepak Hooda, followed by a four-wicket haul from the debutant Shivam Mavi, guided Team India to victory by 2 runs against Sri Lanka in the first T20I match, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Asked to bat first, Team India lost some wickets initially before Hooda (41*) and Axar Patel (31*) took Team India to a total of 162/5 in 20 overs. Chasing 163, Sri Lanka kept on losing wickets at regular intervals but Chamika Karunaratne played an unbeaten innings of 23 runs.

However, the visitors fell short of 2 runs as they were bundled out at 160 in the last-ball thriller.

Apart from, Dasun Shanaka smashed 45 runs. For India, Umran Malik and Harshal Patel scalped two wickets each. Team India take 1-0 lead in the two-match series.

When will India come out of this Trundler brigade and a good for nothing leggie? Harshal, Chahal should not be in the team. If Mavi is bowling in 120's, he should be kicked out of the team immediately.

Prithvi Shaw, Sundar, That other Kashmiri pacer who bowls at 145k's and Bishnoi should be brought back immediately in the team.

T20 is not India's cup of tea. Having lost two back to back T20 wc ,india still not learnt. Rahul Dravid cannot coach for T20 team ,as dravid was test player. More aggressive coach like shashtri should coach india . India keep on selecting try and tested failure like chahal ,harshal, Deepak Hooda, Samson. Axar. They didn't learnt from past mistake. They should have new youngesters to groom for T20. But this dravid won't learn. India will be weak team again,can't get a champion player like yuvraj if they keep on doing like this.

Its a 2 horse race (England & Aus). NZ to spice things up a bit.

India is all hot air and hype. Bowling is a joke and Spinners are mediocre.
 
As long as useless players like Chahal, Harshal in the team, India will keep losing and can't even fluke a win against decent teams. TTFs like hooda, axer, mavi will be put in their place by Aus/eng/Nz
