The way the have gunned down totals in excess of 300 in the last two years and the amount of times they have scored mammoth totals batting first they have a good case of being the best ever ODI lineup. The only thing is they still have to do it in the WC where pitches may start to tire as the tournament goes on.

They're a bunch of useful hacks. On tricky conditions, they'll collapse.

they are more than just useful, They are batting at over 6 run an over from start to finish and can go at 8 plus if they need to on flat decks.

Unless they don't win the World Cup then they would just be considered one-trick ponies. Yes, they have powerful batsmen who can decimate medium-pace bowling but that's really just about it.

I wouldn't call Shaheen Afridi or hasan Ali medium pace they were bowling 88+ in there first spells but they just got bullied.

Yes most postitive attitude you could see. WIth Australians Haydos always took a bit of time before he would actually propel. It was all Gilchrist at the top. Punter, Martyn would stabilize. With England attack attack attack from both ends all the way till the end. Even Root has started doing that.Only teams with depth and skill can do that. These are skillful batsmen. Not even 2015 Aussies who were considered to be the ultimated FTBs can hold a handle to this team.

I think the only thing that can stop them on good wickets is mystery spin, People are talking about pace but I dont think they mind pace.

Mystery spin is no issue, they handily beat India last year. Their biggest problem is choking in big matches. English batsmen are very good players of spin actually, regular or mystery.

On pitches tailor-made for such aggressive batting , England's lineup is the greatest in ODI cricket history. However, if the pitches are not as conducive to stroke play they struggle to adjust.

Not before looking clueless in one of the match where ball turned a bit. THen they rolled out pattas. They were facing guys like Thakur, Pandya with new ball. With Bumrah and Shami these two will look even better.

They can be handled by spin. India is the only team i guess whom they lost a series anywhere from 2015 uptill now since they started playing this new brand of cricket.

They were dominated by Chahal and Kuldeep from 1st t20 till 2nd ODI in England and in back in 2016, they lost many wickets to Indian spinners.
I remember this one t20 in 2016 were they lost like 7 to 8 wickets within just 20 to 30 runs, chahal was the main culprit of this train wreck and got like 6 wickets , i guess.

I dont think Pace is the problem on these wickets, Bumrah didnt have a great CT in England the pitches are so flat that pace can be handled. Bumrah can still bowl T20 style effectively in death overs though. I dont think Shami will be a threat on flat wickets for them. Only thing remains to be seen is if they can handle mystery spin or pressure of a semi final which they will surely make.
