Hales was awful, he spent 5 overs and scored 9, you could tell he would be out.

He should have gone for singles, i dont knw why people are recommending him for test. Not good enough

Looks like Jason Roy is probably pushing more for a place in the test side at moment then Hales if this series is any sort of audition for a test call up.

England should be aiming for 300 here at least with platform they have got.

thats the difference between the top sides, from this position they would score 320-330. eng will struggle to score 300.

its the mental barrier

They have the batting , need to make sure they attack the bowling and not be happy with 300

LOOOL James Taylor, 65 of 78 with just two boundaries. If thats not an exhibition of how to build an inning, I seriously dunno what is.

Watching Taylor bat is freaking painful. the guy should be in the test team and not anywhere near the short form of the game no matter how many centuries he hits off trundlers from domestic cricket.

Good to see Taylor get his 100. Hopefully he'll get a longer run in the side now.

In the end a decent score. Not a winning one though.

50-50 game now.

Another collapse considering they were 205-2 at one point. So in terms of what position they were in 300 is awful. Also, drop Moeen Ali if they're not going to use him in the top order. They are better of bringing in a proper batsman

poor finish to the innings, 20-30 runs short. Maxwell scored a few runs on this ground with his county team.

smith, bailey, maxwell and marsh are key.

like the first odi eng have thrown it away.

They arguably should have scored 25 runs more.

However 300 would be the biggest ODI chase ever on this ground.

In the age of ridiculous run-scoring, people forget that ODIs in England are still rarely 300 plays 300.

Screamer of a catch from Finn to get rid of Smith, everyone looked pretty shocked!

Ali and Rashid looking extremely tough to play at the moment.

Aussies playing spinners badly. No plan as to how to score against Adil and Ali.

Bangladesh should load their team with spinners.

Rashid to Finch, OUT, Finch tries to tee off... and hits it straight up and down into the safe hands of Woakes running in from long-on! Rashid has a second, he's been a struggle to score off and Finch was trying to break the shackles, a moment of Hulk-like violence but he is soon slinking off looking more like Bruce Banner

AJ Finch c Woakes b Rashid 53 (60b 8x4 0x6) SR: 88.33

:))

Looking tough for Australia now.

:moali bhai and Rashid bhai to take England to victory, insha'Allah.

:pkflag

England completely changed their style in ODI's , they're playing how subcontinent teams play, use part timers .

Great bowling from England.

Lots of unfair criticism today aimed towards James Taylor's hundred/the batting in general, but looks like 300 was a good score.

No wonder England hardly ever plays at Old Trafford anymore lol -

It's like a subcontinental spinning demon!

CricketAnalyst Wasn't 300 supposed to be an easy chase in this day and age? lolololol

And for the idiots who thought changing back to 5 fielders wouldn't change a thing, just the last 10 overs have brought down the overall scores. Another 30 overs would make the par score 270-300 depending on the conditions.

Alhamdulillah, congratulations to all English and Pakistani fans.

Good stuff by Ali and Rashid today, showing that they are good spinners when given conditions that suit spin bowling. I really hope the Pakistani players are watching this and don't take these two lightly.

I came back in August. Was there for internship at a hospital.

Very unpatriotic of you to go overseas for your internship, after those long essays about how Pakistanis need to stop the brain drain, contribute to their own society and whatnot. :ghalib

Good against Aussies who cannot play the turning or moving ball.

Cannon fodder against Pakistan.

What a start from Roy though. Taylor anchored well and Morgan provided the spark they needed in the middle.

Dibs to Moody on calling a 300 chase very difficult because of the spin on offer.

I hope ICC replace these crappy kookaburras soon. They said they're looking for a ball that can last 50 overs, the dukes is right in front of you.
