England v Pakistan | 1st Test | Lord's | Jul 14-18, 2016 | Day 4

They cannot go to Old Trafford without a spinner.. Why go with five seamers?? - Maybe try Rasheed for Moeen, who is also better player of spin too, gave us lot of hard time in UAE

England don't have any spinner who can trouble us. Rashid is better than Moeen but still not good enough.

Regardless of the pitch, as we have seen in this game, our batsmen cannot cope with pace.

England should attack our batsmen with Anderson, Broad, Woakes, Finn and Stokes.

England should make Woakes as their defense consultant. Such a great defense in either spin or pace

Lullo post.

The steady drama of today has been up there with the rest of the march.

There is a thing called person opinion. Not respecting that means you are a Lulloo.

Both teams have played poor cricket today.

They are def bowling some good deliveries, just need a little luck now. Ideally we want Eng needing 100+ when Broad comes in.

Agree but I dont think England will drop Mo. Bhai. I would want him to be replaced by Rasheed bhai though who IMO is a better test option

Rashid is a crap test bowler, bowls way too many bad balls. The English commentators try to play up his variety in comparison to Yasir but full tosses and long hops shouldn't be things to admire.

He does well in ODIs because the batsmen have to attack him, Rashid will get milked easily in tests when he keeps on dropping the ball short.

Hard to keep same intensity for 5 days...I was at Lord's yesterday and felt drained and I wasn't even playing! Imagine how it is for the players....

Apologies as you seem to be offended.

Calling people out is not wrong as certain posters such as yourself seem to sometimes just go against the grain for no obvious reason.

Granted the level of play hasn't been at its highest but that doesn't mean that the match or the day is boring - we have consistently seen the shifting of ebbs and flows between the two teams. As a fan of one team I've been constantly teetering on both ends of emotional extremes - it doesn't get much more enthusing that that.

England were too stupid in thinking they could whack their way into chasing this down.

You have to grind it out to take out a target. Painful way is the only way. If you go too fast, you will most likely lose.

Now with 6 down, if England choose to grind out, it still presents an opportunity for Pakistan to regroup and plan. There is more tension but the game doesn't slip away fast so more time to plan and execute.

That's why chasing is hard in tests.

The deciding session of the game.

80-20 Pak.

I went had dinner and came and England scored 10 runs in 7 overs.

Doing the opposite to smashing doesn't work too.

lol.

HE has potential to become a test class spinner, Moeen just doesnt have that. COmparison with Yasir is a farce obviously

YJB starting to feel the pressure, desperate to capitalise on any scoring opportunity. UAE style wearing batsmen down again...

That's too risky, they will presist with Moeen, other reason is three left arm seamers create rough for 3/4 innings.

This partnership is slowly dragging the match towards England. Target under 100 with these two at the crease will give them massive hope.

I don't get offended, don't worry.

I think both teams have lacked intensity today, which is surprising because the game was up for grabs for both of them.

Overall a great game.

The problem with England's current approach is that Pakistan know they're a wicket away from winning. There's no intent. England need to rotate the strike more to put the cat among the pigeons. The innings is going nowhere for now.

Dunno why England are feeling pressured. Pakistan are favourites. England should just look to wear out the bowlers and the runs will come. There's a whole day of play tomorrow.

Then he can go back to county cricket until he learns how to bowl one over without a bad ball. Until then his potential means as much to me as the "talent" of the latest overhyped PP youngsta beauty flavour of the month batsman.

These warned bugs are making me nervous, two bowlers are sitting on one warning each [emoji27][emoji27][emoji27]

Have you watched him at all this summer?

Why the hell cant he come from around the wicket, angle it in and then straighten. I mean its far better option then the current one.
