Why do they keep showing the players face & scores? Surely can't be the graphics for the world cup.
 
Ahsan looking good with new ball

Sohail looks crap while Ahsan is doing ok with new balk though both lacks speed and are in lower 30's .

Because he bowling on the other side of the wicket where there is no grass.
 
In last few games Adil has come on with old ball and been spanked.

He has ALWAYS been a new ball bowler, today you see him doing well because he is bowling with the new ball.
 
my theory: they have decided irfan (obviously) and rahat will play against india.
playing sohail/rahat/wahab to choose 3rd seamer?
 
Adil is good when there is something in the pitch for bowlers.

Otherwise he is cannon fodder like all others.

tbh i dont buy that theory that much in current game format, even if you come for 8th-10th over, that ball is hardly 4/5 overs old
 
Anyone saw the score card of Zim vs SL? Zimbabwe looking all set to chase 280 against SL they are currently 125/2 in 22 overs and Masakadza and Taylor both are in their 40s sharing a partnership of 90
 
nice strike rotation by england even with tight bowling so far, something our batters could learn.
 
What I am really worried about, is our fielding.

When you see, NZ or Aus field, or even the other teams, you just know that our team can't replicate it.

Zimbabwe are being seriously underestimated at the World Cup...

In tests, yes, but not in ODIs. He smashed Starc for 3 consecutive sixes by using the pull shot in one of the games. His refusal to attack the short ball in tests is what held him back in that series.

good line and length bowler will always be good with the new ball and exactly some purchase there on the pitch, 130kph is ok for a consistent line and length and ball will also have a little bit of movement at the start,,, and yes he will be a cannon fodder in subcontinent pitches with the old ball..
 
The first game of the tournament is NZ v SL - how hard is that to remember :facepalm:

probably didn't risk him 12-18 hours (guessing) after landing from plane. for NJ its different, he can probably go off the field and come back and bat, batting less strenous than bowling.

This is why we must persist with our cricketers, everybody wanted Adil out but he is proving his quality now.
 
Irfan, Adil, Afridi, Riaz should be able to rip apart our batting line up..

TBH i am not impressed with this schedule i mean SL v NZ just played 7 freaking ODI and now the WC opening with their game? and guess what on same day England is face Australia are they not happy facing each other 3 times in tri series just before few days . I know ICC created this schedule before many months but these ODI series timing was awkward
 
ok, so not to worry, khan can bowl 140k, its a warm-up so 130s is ok for most balls, real game esp against india i'm sure he would turn it up. more interested in his death bowling today, as that was a big reason for his wickets i think and a big issue for us currently with wahab and no ajmal.
 
Got to say, I'm disappointed.. I tuned in to watch Pakistan's pace attack and it's not really inspiring.. Adil looks good but there's no penetration of the olden days.. Underwhelming
 
also both ballance and hales playing a younis knock. (lkaying for place in side but not team)

yes wahab is serious issue, he is not delivering so far. he is one of the senior bowlers of our team, he should perform
 
Zimbos currently giving phainty of their life to SL :p Masakadza and Taylor partnerships 108 runs at an RR of 6 lol Malinga 29 in 4 overs i think SL played him in hurry he is not ready
