Pakistan (366 & 221) secure a comprehensive 152-run win against England (291 & 144) in the second Test to level the 3-match series 1-1

WE WONNNNNN!!! Finallyyy the kuffar ended. Took almost 4 god damn years to win a test match at home. Get the hell out meray ghantay kai fans. We dont need y”all jobbers. GTHO from Pakistan cricket. Down with Saya cancer group. We are so back! I wholeheartedly welcome the Aqib Chad Javed era.

It's funny to read the fake narratives posters making on this thread against Ramiz, Sohail and now even Nasser. Meantime Noman has bowled brilliant, Rizwan kept well and motivated entire team, Sajid needed a break.
The same posters complain about stats peddlers like Babar yet do the equivalent of trying to score personal points than enjoy seeing their team win...some things will ever change

Normally babar is in team to cut cake, the cake should be given to a certain poster to cut after he got his 1st ever prediction right on PP after being here over 10 years 😉🤭

We have managed to dominate a test at home without Babar. Let’s not forget that he isn’t even the biggest cancer and some of our best players aren’t even in the team

Get rid of Legwan, get rid of Kitabi Shafique and bring in Safi as skipper. Guarantee we will be back to the good times in less than 6 months

Solid win.

Contributions from many players including Saim Kamran Agha Rizwan Nomi Sajid

But we managed to win without saifi bhai too 🤣

Is this the same English team who scored 800+ just a few days ago? Guys it's all in the pitch more than the skill of the bowlers.

No thats incorrect, it was confirmed to journalists that it was Aqib behind the pitch and strategy. Check furqan bhatti’s video.
Alot of these guys make up stuff.

Congratulations everyone! Lets promise to never back statpadders. We need a pest treatment and need to take jobbers like Shafique out of the team. Not pick players like Babar, Shaheen unless they perform in domestic 4 day cricket. We have the players in our domestic circuit, they need the backing and not shameless PR merchants filling their bank balances.

I always think you and @Rana are the same guys. You are Rana’s crazy alter ego. :afridi

whar a day of test cricket,
Is this the same English team who scored 800+ just a few days ago? Guys it's all in the pitch more than the skill of the bowlers.
As much as the ball turning 4-8 degrees did play a role.
The English batsmen batted rashly. Duckett, Jamie Smith,Stokes threw away their wickets. Jamie Smith threw away his wicket both innings

So next test is at Pindi so no chance of used pitch.

A real test awaiting for Pakistan pitch curators
Dont worry, the industrial fans had boarded the trains and are on an express journey as we speak

Let's hope we get a similar surface in pindi which is good for batting and helps spin and reverse swing as game goes on.

No usual highways please

so Pakistani pitch curators need to get their act together. not every test match will be played at same venue for them to use same track to get spinning track. we have given too much leeway to these teams in last 4 years. now team has a blueprint .. its up to to curators for next one

Congrats to all PCT fans. No Test win at home in 3 years and 8 months must have been rough.
This is a historic win. :inti

At long last something to cheer about in tests. UAE flavour to this win with spinners dominating. Tinda Gabbar and Chacha take all 20! 🎉

I'll have a field day writing an article one this series is over.

Key points to note

Don't pick players who prioritise holidays in dubai and USA mall shopping over national duty

3 years 8months and 11 days since Pakistan won a game.

Noman you beauty.
Is this the same English team who scored 800+ just a few days ago? Guys it's all in the pitch more than the skill of the bowlers.
had England batted first , Leach and Bashir wud have made sure Pak would lose again after England scoring 500 plus in first innings bazballing before the wicket crumbling ..so luck played a big role finally for PCT

Pakistan should take the momentum and take the series win here.

Good, functioning spinners playing for Pakistan. Its good to see. It's been a while.

Ben Stokes to Sky Sports on England defeat in second Test:

"Obviously it was going to be a massive task for us, because of how much is going on in the wicket. We knew that chasing a total down we had to go out there with a method as individuals and as a batting unit. I think if you look at the guys who had success in this Test match, it was the guys that looked to put spin under pressure by basically getting your broom out, a lot of reverse sweeps, a lot of sweeps.

"It was incredibly tough conditions to try and eek that out. You always felt like there was one ball with your name on it - I was stood at slip when we were bowling and as soon as a batter tried to defend you felt like you were massively in the game.

"For us, it was about chasing that total down, not eeking it out.

"It was always going to be a big toss, we turned up here on a day six pitch before a ball had been bowled but we felt like we were still in the game and could chase that down.

"You have to give credit to Pakistan with the way they played, they put a good score on the board. We lost some quick wickets at the end of day two, and that's when I thought the pitch started reacting a lot different. When you're ahead of the game like Pakistan were, you can really start to put your foot down - 200 would have been tough to chase on this pitch.

"The way we took the game on today was the only way we were going to get close to winning."

Congrats and nice for Pak to get a win here the tactis paid off for pakistan well done Noman and Sajid

Shan Masood speaking during the post-match presentation:

“First one is always special, it has come after some hard times. A lot has happened over the last week. You have to applaud the group. You can't doubt the effort. It'll be special for everyone. We were able to pick 20 wickets and post decent totals. A change of strategy. We tried green seamers against Bangladesh. We haven't played too much Test cricket in Multan. Noman and Sajid coming in, it's never easy, they looked like seasoned campaigners. Zahid didn't bowl much but he was there for the team and so was Jamal. Everyone chipped in. For Kami (Kamran Ghulam), it's never easy, we were all behind him, he looked like he belonged here. Agha is probably one of my favourite players, he's a team player.”

hope they stick to making a turner foe next ....

Pak winning a home test vs the team that almost ended their test team. And NZ favorites to win in India.
What a week for test cricket.

Terrific win.

Made good changes and used their home conditions wisely. The third spinner was useless as predicted but they can continue to make tweaks as long as they play on spinning tracks.

This is where they stand a chance in home tests.

I haven't woken up to watch Pakistan play for a long time until today...I am believing again! Let's hope this is not short term...btw does anyone know whose out-of-the-box idea was to use the same pitch as the last match? Surely, it can't be someone from the Pakistan camp? This is exactly what is needed...
It was aqib javed idea he said on the podcast england cant play spin prepare spin pitches thats all

Pakistan were so successful in UAE with this same template. I don't know what convinced them that their fast-bowling was going to win them test matches in Asia. The conditions and climates in the sub-continent just aren't conducive for fast-bowling the same way they are in other countries.

Hopefully this can lead to more sporting and spin-friendly pitches in Pakistan because clearly Pakistan batters are good at playing spin. They have the highest batting average against spin in Asia in the last 5 years. While teams like England, Australia, West Indies, South Africa, New Zealand struggle against spin in this part of the world. Yet somehow it took Pakistan nearly four years to figure this out.
Who is to be blamed for? aqib javed just pointed out prepare spin pitches and play 3 spinners guess what england cant play spin and pak won

You can't bat any other way when pitch is spinning like that. Also they don't have the skill on big turning pitches not even Root.
Lol root has double hundred in sri lanka how come he played so well in sri lanka if he is not great player of spin bro?

No one listens to him let alone the team management. Pakistan team management have a superior coach/cricketing brain in Gillespie sitting in the dressing room.

He clearly saw the outcomes of the last three Tests and understood that his objective of going with three pacers is not going to work for Pakistan and hence the pivot towards two spinners and a turning track.

Hopefully , this proves to Babar and shaheen that the team will move forward even without them. And to start playing for the team instead of their own egos

Congratulations Pakistan! A long due win at home.
Where are the people who laughed when I said 350+ is a winning score and Bazball will crumble and win for Pak by the 4th day morning?? :D

Lies

Lies

And more lies!

Gillespie and Shan didn’t want to change the team. They wanted to keep Babar in the side. They had to have their selection rights removed for the selection committee to force a selection. It was Aqib who demanded these changes. Stop spreading nonsense and keep with the game.
