Anderson back into the attack. Butt looking really positive out there.
 
There is no reason why these two shouldn't settle in and bat all day. As long as they stay positive.
 
Sidebottom is a far better bowler than Finn, so why isnt he playing. Pak would struggle against him
 
:umarakmal has a problem with trott lets see if he can be a man and step up
 
The two must get big scores if we are to have a chance of saving this game.
 
Butt was almost care free in Finn's last over. Although good to be positive but still needs to bat responsibly.

Graeme Smith was abysmal as captain in his FIRST FIVE YEARS but their fans barely raised a voice. Their former players too understood the reason for continuity and i am starting to understand that too. Belittling them is going to do you or them absolutely no good. Let us instead get together and praise them on some of the good things that has happened in this tour. As far as i am concerned, there has been plenty of positives that have come out which are worth expanding upon more.

We really must back Salman and give him as much support as fans as its possible. Please try to see objectively. Beating the two best teams in a test each is no easy feat. We are ranked number 7 in the rankings for crying out loud. We have the best bowling attack in the world at the moment and we have good young batsmen who simply need a little more support before they inevitably come good. The fielding will improve once Younis comes back which is the question of "when", not "if". So i encourage you and all fans to begin highligting the positives of this tour more, positives that have been rare but were quite unexpected before the start of the tour

I have not called for the head of Salman Butt - I too think that we need to stick with him for the time being and back him up. I also think that he has in him to be pretty successful as a captain as I can see him learn from his mistakes unlike some others in the past.

All I have said that there is this element of disbelief around in our team and it is not just Butt - we had it before in the Australian series with a different captain and coach and we have it now. I believe that we have gotten to this position from being ahead due to our lack of self-belief and negativity nothing else. Further, I believe I am entitled to this belief.

My original post was about complacency and contentment with a single win. That too I think is a reasonable point. We both are entitled to our thoughts I beliefs - I just think we are a lot better than what we have shown in the recent past. It is mostly psychological rather than anything else.

And Saeed Anwar and Zaheer Abbas... and I mentioned Hanif Mohammad above, I know he is over 70 but I'm sure he can still earn a spot in this team.
 
I hope all those here are not expecting a fightback, because they'll only be disappointed. Keep it real and pray we take the one-day series.
