Good run rate from England

35 for 1 after 13.2 overs

By the way, this is the 5th ODI, not the 4th!

89 for 5 after 32 overs

Staggering run rate of 2.84

Aamer didn't take any wickets but 0/7 off 6 overs, that's EXCELLENT for a young fast bowler. He has been highly consistent at international level and keeps proving himself again and again. Hopefully Wasim Akram can help him improve a lot more in future.

Looks like England struggle against Spin. Apart from 13 overs the rest were bowled by spin with Imad Wasim taking 4 wickets.

This is the Problem with pakistan (senior side too) , they have a small total to chase and they just keep blocking and let the rate build, they should go hard in the powerplay overs and then just pick the singles with the restrictions relaxed. S.A for instance, when we played them 3rd ODI i think it was, we score 130 odd, they didnt just knock it around they smashed the ball to all parts, put in a proffesional perfomance and finished the game of in 12 overs i think it was.

40-1 off 9 overs. What's the problem with that?

Fair comment. They've picked it slightly, its not bad, if they keep going like this they'll win the game, but i just wish that Pakistan would bat like abit more like S.A and take full advantage of the powerplay overs. Like yesterdays game, if they got 80 odd of the PP overs. They wouldnt have to try to smash the ball when the feilding restrictions are relaxed.

I know that Pakistan arent the only team that are guilty for not using the powerplay overs effectivly (mind you Imran Nazir knows how to use them) but its an important area that they may have to work on.

India vs England 1st ODI at the half way stage, Botham & Hussain were disscussing how england would have had chances of 350 if they had taking full advantage of the PP overs.

112/3

Umar Amin 43 no off 66
Ali Asad 26 no off 35

54 required off 25.4 overs (What a SLOW start by PAKISTAN :P )

Pak U 19 136/3

Umar Amin gets his 50 :19: (51 no )
Ali Asad 40 no off 51

Pak require 30 runs in 19.5 overs

partnership 72 runs

lol Bob Willis giving his view on the school system and the amount of exams.

Thinks we shouldnt have exams in summer because it means we cant play cricket

Just 11 runs required now off 15.3 overs

Umar Amin 63 no
Ali Asad 47 no off 57 (You deserve a 50 so GO for it )

155/3

Partnership of 91 :19:
GREAT work, good thing is that we have seen quite a few big partnerships in both 4 day and one day matches which is GREAT. Our top order batting is still dodgy but i think we have better batsmen this time than the last 2 U19 WC.

Pakistan wins the game by 3 wickets (13 overs still left)

GREAT comeback after the THRASHING in 4th one dayer.

Umar Amin finishes up 72 no

Ali Asad 52 no

Unbeaten partnership of 105

WHAT a WIN!!!!! It shows that our bowlers did a GREAT job as well.

We also win the series 3-1 after drawing 4 dayers 1-1 so a SUCCESSFULL tour for youngsters against an EXPERIENCED U19 English team.

Three of our players are amongst the overall top scorers

2-Usman Salahuddin 194 ( 48.5 avg)
3-Umar Amin 192 ( 48.00 avg)
4- Ali Asad 141 ( 47.00)

Also 3 bowlers in the top 5 wicket takers

2-Aamer 8 ( avg 16.37)
3-Kamran Hussain 7 (avg 18.85)
4-Imad Wasim 7 (avg 20.71)

These are great results outside Pakistan in unfamiliar conditions.

A good overall performance after an excellent tour of Australia.

Pakistan Under-19 166 for 3 (Amin 72*, Asad 52*) beat England Under-19 165 (Wasim 4-25) by seven wickets
Scorecard

Pakistan Under-19s produced a convincing seven-wicket win to take out the one-day series against England Under-19s 3-1. After the high-scoring encounter yesterday, this match was played at an entirely different tempo as England struggled to 165 all out against a much-improved Pakistan team, who reached their target with 13 overs to spare.

Pakistan's bowling and fielding, which was almost unrecognisable from Thursday's effort, set up the victory. The spinners sent down 37 overs and England struggled to force the pace on a pitch that was taking slightly more turn. Alex Wakely had a short stay at the crease - run-out without facing - and Billy Godleman couldn't reprise his century form, labouring through 47 balls for 19 before edging behind.

The middle order was then tied down by a quintet of spinners. Imad Wasim, the captain, ended with the best figures - including his opposite number Rory-Hamilton superbly caught and bowled. Liam Dawson fell in similar fashion, as Wasim stuck out his right hand and plucked the ball out of the air. Ben Brown fought hard for his 31, which ended as the equal top score with Tom Westley.

Taimur Ali fell early in the run chase, trapped lbw by the impressive Steven Finn, but a solid base was laid by Ahmed Shahzad and Umar Amin. Victory was completed by an unbroken century stand between Amin and Ali Asad, who both reached half-centuries. Amin completed a productive series with his 72 while Asad, one of the two survivors from Pakistan's World Cup win in Sri Lanka, hit seven attractive boundaries.

It must have been a great experience. I am quite impressed by the way these youngsters have fought back after having a bad match(both in ODis and tests)

great series victory for pakistan

well done guys!!!

All the players in this winning squad will still be able to play in the U19 world cup 2008 in Malasia, where they will have a chance to becaome the first team in U19 history to win the World cup 3 times.

Sounds like a great effort from the Pakistanis.

Hopefully young Aamer can make the most of his talent.

Great news! Winning a series in England against a very strong England team! And tying the test series too! Wonderful stuff!
