The 5th and deciding ODI between England and Sri Lanka to be played today at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Series is level by 2-2.

Match scheduled to begin at 14:00 local time (13:00 GMT | 15:00 CEST | 18:00 PST)

Rain is likely to play a factor and reduce the game by a few overs.

This is rather exciting! After England's awful winter these matches are definitely MODIs.

Rain really ruins matches in Sri Lanka and England. Wonderful venues otherwise.

This series has been exciting to watch. Eng won 1st ODI by decent margin. SL demolished Eng in 2nd ODI. Eng got sweet revenge in the 3rd ODI. 4th ODI saw a thriller with a great century from Butler of which went down to the wire. Hopefully we get a good game today.

55-0 off 11 overs. England openers bubbling along!

ENG should learn how to play in between overs they waste too many balls

Oops.

I don't much rate Ballance TBH.....

Come on Chef, get a hundred and win the series.

Bell misjudged that, otherwise he played Mendis well

It's the Bops-Butts combo to the rescue again!

Will we see the Buttscoop deployed?

Can't believe we are not using the likes of Hales, Rashid, Cobb etc otherwise we would have won this series with games to spare. Never been a fan of Bopara as he doesn't benefit the side at all either with bat or ball.

Anderson bowling in the right conditions is indeed beautiful to watch :14:

Played SL.

Alec Stewart was interesting - Warwickshire gave SL a wicket that suited them, with no swing, no seam, a bit of turn and low bounce. So much for this idea that the EWCB rig the wickets in England's favour.

Pretty sure Edgbaston is usually like that plus doesn't matter what groundsman wants a lot depends on weather which has reflected on the way the pitch has played.
