After being in the field for 130 overs and with the gloom England's openers are there for the taking. :holding

Fidel will want to knock off Jimmy's head here but can't get carried away, one more wicket tonight and it's game on.

lol what was the point of a watchman if Anderson's playing like this :)))

Another over seen through. At most 2 wickets today, and hopefully only Jimmy's if he decides to play as a proper nightwatchman this over.

ah well anderson out. Pretty poor nightwatchmaning you might say despite bowling pretty decent in this test.

Great decision by aleem Jimmy gone England in a bit of bother

Marginally outside the line Another top decision by aleem!!

Jimmy fun is over. Who is the next not so good gloom and doom watchman? :)))
I'd have sent in Bairstow. Might be able to knock a few runs off the total. Better for him to come in now, then if England really are under pressure and need to rely on Bairstow down the order.

No more damage done, thank god. 1 batsman out, and the rest of the batting lineup average 20-48, so hopefully not too many problems tomorrow.

WIndies day! Well Done WI. Sammy! Take a bow! Chander Take a bow! Roach Take a bow! Ramdin and Samuels, well come back!

Another very good day for Windies. They have been the better side over the last couple of days. One more good day on day 5 could bring a famous victory but the pitch is still good for batting and England should have enough depth to knock off 180.

odds of 22/1 for the windies is pretty high if you ask me; definately worth a fiver cause shiv will carry on and get a century and a lead of 150-200 is highely likely.

£115 if the Windies do it.

COME ON LADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WI need to get Narine in the tram some how for next match. He can be WI Ajmal against England.

Going to be exciting tommorow, and i've wangled a day off for myself too :108:

I think the windies can pull this off, Roach will be full of fire and venom in the morning.

I may be the only one here who thinks so but I think Windies are favourites. Psychologically, England are two down, it doesn't matter one is Anderson. And Roach, Edward, Gabriel and even Sammy will be a handful.
And I'll invite fury by saying Windies have been more competitive than India were

I would laugh my @rse off if WI somehow pulled this off :)))

You'd have to say England still in the drivers seat though. Top order still there and a whole day to chase 180. 60 a session basically.

Early inroads made by the Windies but you'd still fancy England to knock off the remaining runs. Would love to see a West Indies upset though.

great fight by WI.much better than fake no.1 that arrived last year.

agree.if its 50-4 then match on.Otherwise England all the way

They need to get Trott and Pietersen, Bell will choke and Bairstow won't do much either. If they are to win they need at least three wickets in 1st session.

England have been pretty poor this test apart from Broad, Bell and Strauss.

I think we lose the number one ranking if we get bowled out tomorrow.

eek.

England probably still favourites but if WI win then fair play to them, they've impressed me.

Should be a cracker tomorrow.

Test cricket in England = the greatest.

Bell played well however I bet if he is required to do anything in second innings he will fail.

It often comes down to belief do WI believe they can win?if they keep at it they deserve to win,but we have seen them in similar positions only to throw it all away

Good day for Windies, great to pick up two wickets. You fancy England to chase this down. However, 2 quick wickets tomorrow morning will get the nerves jittery. :boycott

I somehow think rain might spoil the fun tomorrow.

If not I expect England to just do it.

Well Done Windies though. They've put up more of a fight than Pak or India ever did.

I dunno mate, Swann in the second innings bowled pretty well, and though I was unimpressed by Anderson at times, he bowled as well or nearly as well as Broad and it was only batsmen being more willing to chance their shots against Broad that brought him more wickets. Terrible shots brought Broad wickets though he bowled well enough to bait them. At least for the sessions I've watched and the highlights I've seen. Bresnan has been relatively woeful (Yorkshire!). Our batsmen have been poor. This is a chance for your KP to step up and get us over the line. Either him or Cook need to put in the effort tomorrow to do it.

Trott, Pietersen and Prior ought to have enough in the tank... England's innings of 250 in the 4th innings in Sri Lanka should be encouraging.

Yer Swann has been decent all-round in fairness.

Anderson has been quiet if not terrible.

60-40 in our favour, but 2-3 more wickets in the morning session and things could go very wrong!

I'm not backing Trott at the moment. He looked horrible that very first ball, and got away with it twice or so in the first session. He hasn't looked too fluent just yet.

I have a feeling that if we do win, it will be by 1 or 2 wickets.

England always make it interesting.

Windies have been really great thus far, they deserve it if they win.

The stage is being set for Bairstow to play a match winning knock.

Think it will be a comfortable chase by England. Pitch doesn't look too threatening, West Indies bowlers aren't as good as the English ones. Plus, and perhaps most importantly, feels as if West Indies don't really have the habit of winning these days. Don't expect them to defend a low total away. And the fact that England's bowlers are also pretty good with the bat makes them a very difficult side to bottle out for 190 something at home.

Pleased with the fact that at least West Indies did put out a total for England to chase. Makes you think, if so many of the West Indies batsmen hadn't thrown away their wickets, WI may have made a decent total, and we'd have a real game on our hands (despite the fact england would still probably win).

if only Narine was picked by stupid selectors this would hv been fun

I hope the WI pull this off. It would be a remarkable win. Need to get Cook, Pieterson and Trott early if they are to pull this off.
Bell will do jack. Under pressure he will bottle it.

The pitch is hardly spinning, swann wasn't getting any turn. Narine has only bowled on turners so far in India and Carribean.

If WI do win, i expect Roach to get Trott with his inswinger and Sammy to get cook. Then Roach will run through and fidel and Shannon may take a few each. Also it seems as if the wicket is quickening up a touch, was very cold today and breezy, would have helped dry up the surface after all that rain. Some sunshine tommorow and Lords could be at its quickest, helping the WI quicks.

Yer aside from Roach there's not a lot in the Windies bowling really.

England would have to play a great many ordinary strokes...

...which we know they are very capable of doing :))

From the position england were in, things have suddenly become alot more competitve, it would be funny if it rained tomorrow.

If england had not been so awful in their recent test series, the subsequent collapse since their outlook on day 2 and 3 would probably be investigated

It's very unlikely to rain tomorrow or for the next few days. Although with the British weather you never know.

England still in the box seat. 8 wickets in hand to chase 180 and they have a long batting lineup. England to win by 5 wickets.

Trott was ridiculously lucky with that late decision. What a ball. Cripes.

England should be able to get those runs. WI has not been able to capitalize on advantage for a long time so I doubt they can do it this time. Anyway, not too many runs are required.

Roach will need to take 6 wickets, Gabriel 3 if WI are to do it.

Fidel can't take a wicket to save his life and Sammy will chip in with an innings haul of 1 wicket as usual.

I really don't think Roach will have the support, it is askong alot of him and Gabriel. England bat down to 11 now in this innings with Swann at 11.

Would love to see Windies knock them over here. What a start to the summer that would be.

Excuse me while I go and brick it for several hours.

Players from WI have the chance to be 'Heroes' for their team and fans.

However, Trotty too hotty must be thinking differently:butt
